Ah, but the entire conflict is built on the past. If you look to the future how do you get over the inherent discrimination of the Jewish state against Arabic speaking and Muslim adherents? Hell, you could probably compare the situation to the one found in South Africa during Apartide, except that the entire world sided with the discriminated population rather than feeling sorry for the discriminator. As to the Israeli's winning. The only reason they've been winning is because they have constant military support (although not direct) from the US. Oh, and economic support in the form of millions/billions of dollars being funneled into the state.

Except that the issue with the "who owns the land" argument, is that it validates what the Palestinian leadership and groups like Hamas are saying. That they're an ethnic group stuck on land they used to own but were kicked off, and that the Israeli's are the outside invader. Yes Israel has existed for 50odd years now, but that still doesn't mean that the Palestinian argument isn't valid. Israel has to balance it's public image to the world because of that. If they're coming down to hard on Palestine, they loose support. If that support is lost, they're dead meat because the local Arabic states will pop in and just steamroll them in a Jihad. I mean if they loose the American support, then the "allies" of America in the area (Saudi's mainly) could probably be drawn into the situation fairly easily.

I agree. But yet this is the argument you do hear from the Palestinians and Hamas, they often say that the Jews are "invaders" and "have no right to the land" I am not saying who is more right or wrong. I am just saying that neither side can say they have more historical claim to the land, I think they both do in there own way Honestly, I'd say that the Palestinians saying that are entirely correct. Why? Because there are people still alive who's entire life was forcibly changed by the outside force of the UN and Jewish people saying that they were no longer the owners of the land they lived on.
-
However arbitrairly taking one side over the other because "our historical ancestry is older" is just stupid.
-
I know volo... which is the point people are trying to make. Now personally? I'm just gonna say that Palestine has the more legit claim because of how stuff worked out in the past 100ish years. Edit: And Oby? It's not like I'm running around screaming at the top of my lungs "I'm IRISH BIAAAAATCH!" while guzzling some terrible irish whiskey and dancing a little jig. I'm a friggin American. My cultural identity has more roots in the 1980's and the East Coast than it does to anything else, and to assume that I'm somehow going to be operating solely based on a small part of my heratige is hilarious. After all, if we did that you'd still be running around trying to get from yurt to yurt and raze Europe to the ground like your Mongol forefathers.

I'm confused, aren't Jews originally from a tribe that lived in that land from thousands of years ago? What makes the Palestinians claim to the area more valid than the Jews? Obviously not. Jews aren't tribe or ethnicity, it's just someone converted into Jeudaism. Ashkenazy is converted Slavs, Germans or Khazars. Sefarids have Hispanic/Moorish origin. Bucharian Jews have Central Asian origin, while Kavkaz Jews looks like other Kavkaz ethnicities. Chinese Jews are Asians and Ephiopic Jews are Africans. One tribe, yeah! More you can find easily in numerous anthropological and historical investigations . Didn't the Moors and the Ottomans also conquer and subjugate many nations and civilizations , didn't they also convert people to Islam? But once again no one has answered my question. Why do the Palestinians have more historical right to the land that Israel is now on, and also even if some people have been converted to Judaism why don't the Jews have a right to the same land? Can you provide proof that the Palestinians are the "rightful " inheritors of the land, as they were also converted to Islam? Your link you provided states this when it says "Just as most contemporary Christians and Muslims are the progeny of converted people" So you're saying that the Jewish people should keep their rights to the land they'd been forced off of a millennium ago because of a "homeland" claim from that time? What makes THEIR "homeland" inherently THEIRS rather than anyone else's? I mean, what's to claim that I should own Ireland because I can trace my bloodline back to an King there? It's my ancient homeland that my family ruled 1000 years ago... a more current claim than that of the Jewish peoples. Nor does stupidity and propaganda create truth from thin air, in the face of studies.

Well, it's not well explained. It can be finniky and sticky. It's hard to get out of combo's once you've started them and can't break your attack to dodge. Not to mention the fact that they have clunky controls for magic, and it's habit of giving you abilities that you don't understand how to use (catching knives on your sword). -

Are you speaking about layout and design or implementation? Yes. -
... Have Fun. And so this thread might actually be on track again http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/26/world/meast/israel-barak-resigns/index.html?hpt=wo_c2 The defense minister of Israel has resigned... supposedly to open up a new party to oppose the one currently in power.

I liked Witcher 2, but it did need serious help when it came to the combat system. I think if Cd projekt teamed up with somebody who knew how to do menus and just UI interface better, they'd have a SIGNIFICANTLY better game overall that'd earn a lot of fans. Been Playing WoW (obviosly), Battlefield 3, Black Ops, and the new Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Most Wanted is probably the one that tickles me the most... not in terms of actual gameplay or anything, but what it represents. It's not a ultra-realistic hyper physics-tastic driving game where you zoom around and have to ensure that you break properly and downshift etc to get around a corner without spinning out, while tweaking every little thing on your car to ensure you get the best performance. It's "Here's a car... go race it. Oh, and ram the crap out of your opponents and turn them to scrap" with the physics being about as cartoony as they can without becoming Mario Kart. After all, it is made by the guys behind Burnout. -
I'll better die of hunger than eat this food http://englishrussia...lds-restaurant/ Because all mcdonalds have russian hooligans employed there... Yup... totally. Because "Fast food" for poor peoples. Rich (Exploitators) don't eat this trash. ? I'm not saying that the Rich don't eat there. Just that they don't eat there all the time. Which was entirely my point, fast food is so cheap and easy to get, most of the lowest income earners will end up hitting that place rather than cooking things themselves. Because they don't have the time, energy, or knowledge necessary to construct even the most basic healthy meal at home. As Alan pointed out, this is a rather western issue, so I'm pretty sure the "getting so drunk I die" Russian male demographic doesn't have to worry about it. Although how your response relates to what I said I have no idea. And Bruce: That's exactly why NYC outlawed any drink over 16 fluid ounces (a "small" at Mcdonalds). Admittedly we're pretty far off rocket strikes on Gaza. I do get the feeling that within a generation the Israeli's are gonna have to shape up because they can't rely on the pity and sympathy of their allies to get away with things.

http://news.yahoo.com/gop-starting-rebel-against-no-tax-hikes-pledge-012623817.html I think that right now folks are scrambling to turn their views towards a more mass market than anything. Killing the "No tax" pledge is gonna go a long way to making the party viable in the long term.

Nothing will flat out make you fat. But if you're working a low income job, with little movement but long hours, and you eat McDonalds or KFC or Wendy's or Burger King every meal of the day, you're gonna see your waistline expand quickly. Hell, we've done the calculations at work... a SINGLE Angus Bacon and Cheese meal with Large Fries and a Large Drink will fill out your daily requirement of calories for a fairly inactive lifestyle. ONE MEAL. And there are people who get that stuff 3 times a day.
-
Anymore I'm fairly certain that it's because there are many cheap, fatty, alternatives to food out right now. Mcdoalds, burger king, wendy's etc. So rather than eat something healthy, they go out and pick up garbage and eat it.

Fox is going to have a bloody field day with this.

I agree with most of what you are saying, but Hamas (and others) did kill a bunch (about a thousand, though actual numbers are uncertain) of Palestinians without trial on shaky claims of collaboration during the first intifada. That helped radicalise the region in more than one way. ... And? Israel isn't doing any better with random rocket strikes into the Strip (killed a BBC guys kid didn't it?) You can't just say "Hamas/Palestine are the devil for killing random people in rocket strikes and made up charges" without also turning around and saying the same about Israel. And Israel has probably been indirectly at fault for the deaths of MANY more Muslims in the occupied territories than Hamas or anyone else ever would.

Yeah, I wouldn't really care about the integrated GPU. I'd end up buying a high end one anyway and running off that. Another one of my issues with assembling my own is that, while I've done it once, I'm always scared of screwing it up to badly, and am not familiar enough with the bloody things to be able to do it without help. I emailed my brother the question of if he'd build a good comp with my budget. He should be able to, it's just getting it across the country and if he's willing that are the issues.

So, methinks me needs to get a new computer. Just the tower really (two monitors already), but am at an impasse about how to go about it. I could build my own system... but I REALLY don't want to go through that hassle and having to keep track of six cd's to ensure I have all the drivers. So I've been looking at prefabs. My current system is a 2.2 ghz duel core with 4 gb of ram and a 500gb hd. Obviously not that great anymore. http://www.costco.com/CyberPower-Cooler-Master-Elite-431-Intel-Core-i7-3770K-3.9GHz-Blu-Ray-Combo-Drive.product.100012851.html Been looking at that because it's cheap and a MASSIVE upgrade. But was hoping the techies around here might know something that would do me better for my gaming habit. I have a 1200 dollar upper limit, and don't need more than the tower. So Fire away kids.

One of the issues with Socialism in america is that it's been used interchangable with the Russian Communism and the USSR. So if you mention a social program that's technically "Socialism" people will look at you and ask "Do you support Stalin?"

Finished Max Payne. It was fun, although they did make some of the game REDICULOUSLY rough because the guys with body armor pop up with high powered weapons... and you're wearing a business suit. You end up getting murdered a lot, and on the next level you're beating up hoods for two shots each. -
Well, most american cops on bikes probably wouldn't be able to get fire. After all, he'd actually need to pedal.. And GD, yeah, we all knew that, except Dagon.
-
That I can understand. From the sound of it, she has a complaint of some validity but not sure (and don't know) if anyone should actually be fired for it or something. Dunno the details, so can't really judge - such situations are never simple. Just don't like protective "cliques" in business. Here's hoping nothing unfair occurs to you, her, or anyone else involved. Well, the thing is that she WANTS somebody to be fired desperately. She's angry at everyone there and is thinking about going to the store when Corporate shows up to give them her "I'VE BEEN HARASSED" letter in person.
-
Yeah... part of it is also that I'm worried that the investigation into how the store is run (if there is one) I'll lose my job. While I don't condone what happened, I can't say that what she did was entirely on the up-and-up and that if this goes through, a couple of closer friends will get tossed on their rears.
