It can be. I'm not taking it full time though. Right now I'm just waiting for the week and a half for my other job to end.

Honstly, it's kinda hard to get worked up over this. I mean yeah, they're combing through all our communications for things, but even with a word sorting program, you're still talking about HOURS of conversations that they're working through. Per person Per day Quite frankly something like this doesn't really work because the NSA can't have enough people to sift through all the data and figure out wtf is going on.

The theatric daredevil is *cough* TERRIBLE. The Extended cut? Quite good (although Colin Farrell haming it up is out of sorts) The Thomas Jane Punisher is awesome in it's insanity. Elektra was horrible I agree For those who don't know, the director of Daredevil has created a directors cut of DD which fixes a LOT of the issues with it, and digs deeper into the real issues somebody would have to deal with if they had super senses etc.

Using mr sutherlands IMDB page we have him as Sgt Roebuck in Call of Duty World at War General WR Monger from Monsters Vs Aliens Raistlin in a Dragonlance movie and Bosco in Marmaduke Although it is pretty sparce as a page... but you can attribute that to having a 13 year tv show that he's a part of.

I honestly don't know. I think a large part of it is the suckers(and teeth on some varieties) as well as how "squirmy" they are when in movement. Encountering such a creature would instill a combination of unreasonable panic and genocidal fury in me. If it makes you feel any better, Octopi can't turn blue. When they try they just turn bright red (I assume in frustration). One of the college kids at one of my outdoor ed trips was forced to put an octopus into a blue bucket.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etPYl1OQoqk I still love that clip. RE: Superman being all powerful In the 70's they got to the point where superman just blew out a sun like you'd blow up a balloon. They made a hard reset with him in Man of Steel (the comics) in the 80's. That's also when Lex Luthor went from being a guy in a green suit with rocket boots to a businessman. Since then he's been jumping between power levels like a crazy person. Some weeks he's fist fighting the ArchAngel Gabriel after stabilizing the moon by hand, others he's in a slugging match with Doomsday and dying. Yes both of those really happened, and I've got Superman 75 around here somewhere. It's also why his vulnerability's got magic added to it. That said, ultimately, I think that Superman stories can't be about the fight unless you make superman an idiot (who else was screaming about the Doomsday fight). So you have to basically make it about humanity.

It seems like Sega is more Hands Off than most publishers. Relic and Creative Assembly appear to have been mostly unmolested for their two games, and Sega's gotten good products out of it. I think a lot of Empires faults can be traced more to the Devs deciding to expand out of Melee focused periods of warfare. In most of the other games they'd released to that point, the main combat was won by banging heads against one another. In Empire (and Napoleon) they had the issue of muskets being the man weapon of the era. And a new architecture for their overworld maps (systems wise). I'm eager for both COH and Rome 2 to pop up though.

And here it is, including in video form http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/top-gear-130-mph-mower-lives-video-2013-6-4 with fire spitting exhaust. The first article TG did on the thing http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/honda-100mph-lawnmower-team-dynamics-2013-05-29 500 bhp per ton. 0-60 in 4 seconds... This is going to be scary. Oh, and the blades are gonna be whirling at 4000 rpm. On a personal note, I turned in my two weeks today. Only one manager was really around and he doesn't care. It'll be interesting next week when the boss gets back (In theory I only have 6 days left on my current schedule)

Heck after all that I'll invite them in for a cup of coffee! Such determination has to be admired at least! Do it naked though...

Laugh it up, fuzzball. I'll be honest, I kinda imagine him running it out, with one arm on fire in his footie pajamas (with superman logo), then on the way back in he goes to scratch his rear only THEN realizing that the arm he's using to scratch his rear is on fire, which is why he's got the burns only in those to places.

Congratulations. Would that be a public bus, or a private shuttle? Shuttle company. They're small, and this is the brand new branch. Apparently there's a lot of "what the heck?" from the main office because they keep assuming that this one doesn't have things that they do (particularly, a large bus), and they're low on people.

I think that any US adventurism in Syria would completely tank the political career of the person found to be "responsible" for the adventure. Mostly because military families (worshipped as they are) don't want their military member to go off to some other dusty land to rebuild another country. At best this would be a rehash of Afghanistan in 2002, at worst it'd be Iraq 2.0 (now with more booms!). Obama was elected, in part, on a promise that he was pulling the States out of those crazy lands.

Personally I get the feeling that Syria won't calm down until after one side (probably Al-Assad) is entirely removed. I haven't kept up on the situation so I couldn't tell you the hwo's whats or wheres, but the few things I have heard is that the entire thing's turned into a giant proxy war, and everyone wants to set up their own puppet in the region. Muslim nations have extremists who are attempting to make Syria into a haven for their attacks on Israel. Turkey just wants things to settle down, and for a stable border Russia wants to project power into the region (given how Putin is, I'd say as a counter balance to US interests in Iraq) and the Citizens want to oust Al-Assad for (ostensibly) democractic reasons. But they've had issues where one hand of the "rebels" doesn't know what the other hand is. And this isn't going to end with an "Oh, lets all put our guns aside and talk this out." Things haven't gotten bad enough for that to happen out of distaste for more war, and there have been enough atrocities committed that nobody will just "let go".
-
Didn't they reboot from the ground up so nobody is around anymore except the "core" characters?
-
In theory they do. Mogo sent all the rings to those who could use them properly and had the temprament to use them. The issue however is that the writers would write stupid Corp members because they wanted the half dozen earth Lanterns to be more prominent.
-
I think that they're trying to do that, but Warner doesn't really have anyone that is going to go to bat to keep the integrity of their characters. From what I've seen of the DC properties, the creative teams really want to play in the mythos (or twist it for their own stories... friggin Dark Knight) but the suits want a homogenized movie that will attract as many people who aren't familiar with the source material as they can. Minor winks to the audience, but nothing like Thanos or Vibranium or Dr. Zola.

I'm now pondering something that's a lot bigger than me. Namely, that the Internet caused the downslide of TV and Video in terms of content. Mostly based off an interview from... top gear(?) or Daily Show where a musician/producer said that he hates the advance of technology in his industry. Before the internet era, Somebody had to know somebody had to know somebody to be able to produce a mix tape. And each link in that chain had to think that the music in question was good. It inherently created a filter on creative medium, meaning that only those creations that were actually good (or considered good by a larger portion) would be released to the wider world (or even properly considered for that). Now with content so easily produced by any yahoo with a computer, it's much cheaper and simpler to just attach a film crew to a group of yahoos with no sense. Before the shows actually had to have a premise about what they were. About how they were going to grow over time. But the mobility and ease of creation for any sort of content means that the actual content of whatever is being shown doesn't need to be as high quality. ... Is there a term for this? And if not, Tigs, I demand you name this the Swanick Effect you bloody phd in linguistics.

According to Kotaku and Gizmodo, the hacker who managed to get info about the new systems has over 2 terabytes of data hacked from a variety of sources. If he's raided and arrested tomorrow, all of that gets unlocked and dumped onto the internet. This includes code and info from MS, Sony, THQ, Blizzard, Company of Heroes 2, Gears... http://kotaku.com/next-gen-hacker-superdae-threatens-to-leak-troves-of-ga-509968073

Yeah. But it still doesn't make up for the fact that Kirk was a Captain straight out of the Academy. With Captain being the rank just below Admiral in the navy's rank chain.
