In America the term Epithet is generally used in conjuction with words like the N word used for African Americans and similar terms for Mexican Americans (I mean no offence to those who are of the latino and African denominations) so most children learn that epithet is a word that encompasses those derogitory words. ELDAR EDIT: Calax, your use was entirely in line. I edited it simply because the terms are so charged that I don't even want to invite angst. Indeed, epithet has come to mean "racial epithet" in American English. that's too bad since the term literally means something that is "put on" or "put against" something else.

eh, we tried to get conjugal visits with the girlscouts across the lake but the ScoutMasters said no....

Locusts I haven't heard about, from what I remeber they are primairly a SoCal Problem. I'm in the north/central area with Eru. we mainly have troubles with the mosquitos and West Nile Virus, and some flooding but the flooding was only really bad twice in the past decade, before that we had 40 years of no flood.

well Epithets are generally used as a derogitory term nowadays, so whenever i see you say that Homer referred to Odysseus with an epithet I think Homer is using some sort of Racial slur...

Blowing up a city because it was no longer "rightous"? I never even saw a mention of Man-on-man love in the Bible... Besides if everyone died except Lot and his daughters, wouldn't that be condoning Incest? same with Noah...

1) Jolee already was rebuked for his little affair 2) This was made before we knew about "Jedi should not marry" so the author had an excuse. Besides it made for good fiction and Andur wasn't exactly a central figure in the Jedi Order. 3) I was unaware that Belaya was Juhani's bed partner, there wasn't even a hint of this in the game. 4) Revan was already reprogrammed with a false identity that liked the idea of marrage and he was able to poke around in Bastilas mind at will, to have them not fall in love would lend the term Force Sex a whole new definition. 5) well Carth and Female Revan both needed somthing to hold on to for differing reasons, Carth needed sombody to trust, and loving is considered the ultimate act of trust, Revan just needed somthing constant to keep track of what was one life and what was another. 6) Exile's relationships were underdeveloped to say the least due to time constraints. if it was a She, she didn't go after Bao (egad it's a baby with little spikes coming out of it's head!). So you can't really count them. 7) Anakin's could have been manipulated, Palpatine isn't beyond some manipulation of feelings and your psyche. (how anyone could fall for Anakin is beyond me...) Luke and Mara are from an entirly different set of Jedi, to put them in with this bunch would be akin to putting Exar Kun in with Naga Shadows bretheren. Similar in powers and setup, but with some differences to keep up with the times. I mean they have several normal people on the Jedi council now.

Was Oddysseus actually in the Illiad? I thought that the Illiad was primailry based around Achillies and his personal war. I thought Odysseus was purely in the Odyssey, After all there's no actual mention of the Trojan horse in the Illiad. or any of the initial stuff in the Odyssey...

Oddesey is Required for Highschool. Illiad is generally not read by any school up here from my experiance. I had a friend who read the Illiad but then she was studying Greek down in New Mexico so... From what she say's there are some passages that make insinuations about Patriclus and Achillies, in the tent...

That's the version I got. The one that runs with the XvsT engine, right? Still no music. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The music did add a key part. This Gamespot article (from when they declared TIE Fighter one of the Greatest Games of All Time) explains the different versions of the game and the whole issue with the iMuse music system. (Read the gray panel on the right - it's the part that talks about the version issues of the game) I have a second, older computer that runs Windows 95, but I can't even get TIE Fighter to work on that anymore. I can't figure out the "Stack: Overflow" issue that plagued many TIE Fighter players. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I remember Stack Overflow! If I remember right, (I was about 9 so i doubt it) Stack:overflow meant that the game was trying to give itself too many commands at one time, and would end up overrunning the Buffer. Ususally I'd just Xout the MSDOS prompt that told me that and would restart, It'd work after five or six tries... I wonder if we could convince the People at LucasArts to completly redo the old Xwing and TieFighter games, new engines but the old music. Maybe Rerecord the music for Quality. and rebuild cutscenes, that sort of thing...

Neon Green too (why not have more shades of each color?)

Well, I don't doubt it, but... has this been released already? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Source game came free with the Gold (and Silver, IIRC); also, if you bought the original Opposing Forces, you may just register it using Steam, and you can play it through Source (which is what I did, I bought the Game of the Year Edition with Blue Shift, Opposing Forces and Counter-Strike). PS This is not the same as Opposing Source. PSS It does seem harder. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think it's Opposing Forces, I think it's Opposing Force. singular, not plural.
