  1. http://kotaku.com/5567961/sins-of-a-solar-...vuvuzela+buster the makers of Sins of a Solar Empire made it so you can remove those damn things from streaming.
  2. yeah it's vanilla Rome really didn't like the Barbarian Invasion expansion, and from what i hear the Alexander one is kinda lame definitely thinking of checking out the Total Realism mod once we get the net sorted out at my new flat RTR is certainly a bit harder than just RTW. and it removes the three families.
  3. ME and ME2 are 50 and 40% off on steam atm. ME2 is 23.99
  4. Ok, I just picked up City of Heroes again... and purchased Mass Effect 2 for pc (it's my second copy, one for 360 one for PC). At least now I can get DLC. Every time I go back to City of Heroes they've changed the game radically... the core stuff is still the same but they add a crafting system, Task Forces (basically Dungeons), entire story lines, power customization (aesthetically... I have hot pink lightning now!) new power sets... And apparently they're coming out with a paid expansion that'll let you swap (for free) your characters between sides (Hero and Villian).
  5. is it directed by Cameron?
  6. I'm assuming that's vanilla then shryke?
  7. Another one that rants a lot to gain a bit of notoriety? This type of internet phenomenon is beginning to tire me honestly... Actually his riffing on a video or four is quite funny, for example, his riff on "Zelda Scott" in a game crazy training video is... amusing.
  8. A lot of american dev houses are in redwood city.
  9. http://spoonyexperiment.com/ Ze spooney one went to E3. He's not very flattering to bethesda or F:NV because as he puts it "New Vegas adds weapon customization, and that's it... somebody could have done this with with a mod"

I know they did the IRA vs. Al Quieda
  11. and if you follow 80 (up north crossing the bay) east, you'll find me (well almost). Crimson, aren't you like 5 minutes from half the dev houses known to man?
  12. Been considering it. Question: does the Steam program itself cost anything per month or are you only charged when you actually buy a game, like iTunes? And you can redownload the games as much as you want on as many computers as you want. There are even a bunch of games that you can buy for both the mac and the PC. You pay one price for both versions. So if you have a PC at your parents, you can have the game there and on your macbook. most of the valve games have this (the half life catalogue, portal, cstrike and portal).
  13. Nope, just tons of generic MMOGs from Korea and some superhero crap. I don't know why people found it funny that KotOR Online might get good subscriber numbers. Good numbers don't need to be Blizzards scale, just one tenth of it would do just fine. And that would STILL be bigger than almost every other MMO out there. I think champions was aiming for 10k subscribers TOTAL to stay above the water
  14. I've got borderlands installed, if somebody wants to hit me up my Steam name is in the Steam thread so we can go from there
  15. As a person with an Autism spectrum disorder (aspergers, diagnosed by the proper authorities) I must say you are incorrect, it still shatters my immersion.
  16. Been considering it. Question: does the Steam program itself cost anything per month or are you only charged when you actually buy a game, like iTunes? Steam is like Itunes or the Xbox dashboard. it's completely free but you can pay through it for a digital copy of the game.
  17. California in general runs the gambit, but within a few hours I personally can hit any particular climate I want (grasslands, mountains, beach, desert, scrub like she posted, abandoned farms, old west historic sites...) I'm FAR more centrally located than they are probably (as Sac is midway between SF and the Sierras).
  18. From a market and budget point, not necessairly a fanbase point guys, calm down. I'm fairly certain it will have STUPIDLY high numbers for initial sales and stuff, but after that, nada
  19. *is installing borderlands*
  20. From what I heard, Ryan Renolds is a comic fan so he'd have a better insight on Deadpools character than most. He's also going to be the Green Lantern in the upcoming movie.
  21. no... NO... NNNNNOOOOOOO.... they got like EVERYONE wrong. Deadpool is not a combination of mutations, he's the merc with a mouth who got an extreme healing factor to deal with a cancer that'd kill him, but it also messed with his neurology to the point where he was basically insane. Sabertooth and Wolverine don't really have a filial connection between them, just a former working relationship that went bad because Sabertooth became feral. I was more referring to Wolverines backstory, but even that has some inconsistencies like the Weapon X program being in the US when, iirc, it was Canadian. I did like that they faithfully showed how he was created and some of the things that motivated him, like the "death" of his woman. I didnt know Sabertooth wasnt his brother, I thought that part was accurate. I don't think they really went into his backstory... at least until REALLY recently. That was one of the reasons Wolvie was so popular was that he didn't really have much of a backstory but you got constant hints over time that were so tasty. And yes, the WeaponX program is Canadian, although I think that Wolverine was also Codenamed WeaponX. The woman who's able to influence people was competely fictional IIRC, and the whole malarky about "rescuing" all the mutants from weapon X was specific to the movie. Basically he went rogue on the government and was only made human after spending a LONG time with the founders of alpha flight (a canadian superteam), he still dealt with rage issues well after that although I think most authors forget that when they're trying to make him badass as possible.

Hmm... A nation with a tiny appendix of an armed force, supplemented by a bunch of maudlin psychopaths, against a nation almost entirely focussed on war since its inception? Could be fun to watch. For about ten minutes. Palestine vs Ireland would be a better match up.
  23. well, at least OE's npcs say "OH GODS YOU TALKED TO ME! LETS MAKE BABIES!" That said, I can't really think of anything that would act more human than simply giving out points like they did in Kotor etc.
  24. no... NO... NNNNNOOOOOOO.... they got like EVERYONE wrong. Sabertooth and Wolverine don't really have a filial connection between them, just a former working relationship that went bad because Sabertooth became feral. The guy's healing factor is stronger than Wolverines (and used for more comedy).
  25. they did a bit better with Alpha Protocol in that there were benefits to having the people hate you and love you.
