Edward Cullen - All the Twilight vampiers do this whole.. "Sparkle like diamonds" when exposed to the sunlight. So it's a "sparkley Vampires" thing. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or set fire to something.

Blitzed the house again today. Probably only one more blitz needed to get it parent standard. Some people find it odd that I live most of the time like a student. My answer to that is "Ever notice how much fun and work students get done?"

I don't know if I COULD have drunk twice as much ten years ago, but I would certainly have tried. After my very limited stint in service I can attest to the hangover-healing power of doing PT (which we call 'phys', if you're interested). I'd do it now, but frankly I'm quite enjoying the feeling of raw endeavour the hangover's giving me. last night was one of those impromptu things I always say are awesome. I ran into a friend in town whlie shopping, and we decided that if we were going to consume then we should consume ale. I then met a whole bunch of new people. And if there's one thing I really enjoy it's meeting new people who are friendly and who have good stories to tell. I shall be back out later today for more booze, I think. Got to get all the sin out of my system before my aged parent shows up to stay. He's given up drink, I think because he gets quite fighty.

I reckon I'll give it a go. However, I wonder if they're going to let Bilbo be as objectionably lame at the outset as he should be.

I really miss my mum.

Thanks for Tigs taking the trouble to give his analysis. Seems pretty convincing to me. I'm violently hungover, but I'd suggest that NK has made a living by playing unpredictable and dangerous. This young chap being in charge merely makes that picture more credible. He's got relatives in important positions, probably pulling his strings. He's going to be around for years yet. So I'd reckon that the generals are pretty pleased with him.

The crust is massively under-rated by most people, who use frozen crub and miss out on unctious buttery goodness. You probably already know this, but I thicken up my fillings by using both a butter/wholewheat roux and some fine ground red lentils. Thickens it up a treat. ~ Massively drunk last night. First time in a long while. But woke up needing to puke about 3 am. Feel alright now, if a bit muzzy. On holiday now until next week. Going to be prepping for Christmas.

God forbid that a form of entertainment should be entertaining. Film is both entertainment AND art. placing the emphaiss on one does not invalidate it's qualities in the other. Although a lot of simps would have you believe that on both sides.

If I could find a bookie I'd put a tenner on the Chinese encouraging junior to instigate reforms. Demonstrate that he's a good little doggie. Then if we start pushing them elsewhere they let NKorea off the leash for a bit as a bargaining ploy. We look to China to rein NK in.

Good man. I haven't sorted much for Christmas besides the food, and a couple of gifts. Had meetings to sort out first. But come Wednesday I'm running down the shutters and concentrating on good cheer.
