Mecca is in Saudi Arabia. I always thought Mecca was their holiest place, and non-Muslims are not allowed near it. However, the History channel's recent show on Jerusalem had Muslims claiming Jerusalem was their holiest city.

I've never read any Daredevil comics. I was tempted to pick up Kevin Smith's run, but I was told that the ending only makes sense to longtime readers.

One can certainly argue that Isreal shouldn't have been created as a nation. I can see that point. But the Jewish people once claimed that land as their own before they were forcibly removed via slavery. They have just as much of a historical claim to that land as the Palistineans. Why not put the Jews elsewhere? Well Jerusalem seems to be the holiest city in the world for Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Saying that Muslims can have access to the city, but not Jews is pretty silly.

Everyone loves Orson Welle's radio adaptation which completely changed the book into a radio news program. Spielburg was far more faithful to the book than I guessed he would be. And while I hate Scientology, and Tom Cruise these days, it didn't detract from the real star of this film, ILM.

I liked Attack of the Clones, but I don't think it's better than say A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, or Revenge of the Sith. AoTC had some horrid dialogue but it had great action set pieces, less Jar-Jar than TPM and no little kid running around going "Yippee!"

I've yet to see Electra. I didn't hate Daredevil like most people. I thought it was a passable movie that I didn't expect much from. With the same attitude, I may not mind an Electra rental.

I like Jennifer Garner. She is a good actress. In Alias she often has to deal with ridiculous situations and she makes them seem plausible. I've liked her in everything I've seen her in, and it doesn't hurt that she is hot. Batman Begins is not only a good superhero movie, it is a good movie overall. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, you should. It is one of the best movies of the year.

I try to kick, beat or spit on one fat person a day. Really, I'm trying to encourage them to lose weight. I figure my mentally manipulating them to understand that fat = bad, then they are more motivated to lose weight. I consider it my one good deed for the day. I am so totally kidding.
