took my girlfriend to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday had been procrastinating and trying to put it off, but eventually got conned into it some really stupid moments. characters get killed off with barely a passing mention, then at the end there's a big "emotional" scene of a completely stupid and annoying character getting killed and i'm supposed to be sad? i was cheering that the stupid little piece of **** was gone also, the deus ex machina is getting very very old. gee, lets teleport to a random place from a character's childhood. oh look, the object we've been looking for is here - how convenient... i've said it before, but i only read up until the 5th book until i gave up, so maybe there's some stuff that's missing/been changed. but seriously, the more i see of this franchise, the less i like it. it's so bloody predictable and childish

still debating what to do for xmas this year could either go to my sister's place, but it's a few hours drive and her husband is an idiot could go to my mother's place for the first time in 5 years or so, but again it's ages away and i can't really be bothered another option is to do what i did last year and go to my friend's mother's place. she really seems to like me and has told them to tell me i'm more than welcome to come along again this year and another option is to go out to my girlfriend's parent's place. only met them last week so it might be a bit weird or i could just sit at home and get drunk decisions decisions...

day in the sunshine with the girlfriend, then back to her place and she made me pancakes definitely a keeper

is a nice sunshiney day, and soon i'll be heading out to go slacklining, then later on off to my gf's gig ^_^

only went in to work today for an hour in the morning for a meeting then stuffed around and had coffee with friends, then went and played some drums, then went over to my girlfriends place and lazed around in the sun having a nap good day overall ^_^

Actually, it gets better especially in Seasons 8, 9 and 10 when they have quite a few superhero groups like the semi-formed JLA as well as the JSA, Legion and the Suicide Squad. Probably the worse season would be Season 1 as there are only about 5 episodes worth watching while the rest are just Monster of the Week episodes. i've been curious to give it another go, as all i've seen is the first season and it was complete and utter **** girlfriend and i watched Despicable Me last night. we agreed that if i found her a unicorn, she'd try and get me some little yellow minions. then i can take over the world! muahaha

things are pretty good at the moment not having to go to work but still getting paid, spending time lazing around in the sun all day, and got asked out by a pretty awesome girl

just finished reading it last night Sanderson writes Mat in a very different way to Jordan - it can be rather jarring at times over all though it was still alright. timelines for the characters have caught up to eachother, and finally Perrin starts becoming an interesting character again. though there was some pretty out there kinda stuff too (ie red veiled aiel?)

Where did you go? Ever been to Milford Sound? I'm heading to the Blue Mountains this weekend. Woot. met up with a couple of friends and we just started wandering in one direction and eventually found a tiny track heading into the bush, so we decided to see where it went. then we kept flipping coins to choose a new direction everytime we came across a split in the path so nowhere special, just general exploring

thinking of finally getting round to trying Mask of the Betrayer, but always so damn indecisive with character builds briefly tried fighter/rdd/weaponmaster/bard, but it seemed kinda boring, so now considering a rogue of some sort

i went to a friend's ep release gig tonight, and saw her play a song about a friend of ours who committed suicide last year i was so god damn proud she managed to get through the song and she sang beautifully

maybe it would've been different if i'd first picked them up when i was younger, but they really lack any subtlety and constantly beat you over the head with clues towards any twists ie the movie i just watched new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher (most of which have ended up being villains) constantly drinking some mysterious potion. maybe he's just a drunk? or just maybe it's the polyjuice potion everyone is constantly talking about. real shocking twist right there

glad to see i'm not the only one people usually seem to think i'm some kinda heretic for not liking the series

watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... i've never read past the 5th book, and had only seen the first 3 movies, and now i remember why Harry is a dumbass, Hermione is ****ing annoying as hell, and Ron is a damn dunce

got more done on my tattoo last night, so now i have an amusing shaved patch on my arm hehe
