1. I didn't. *L*Simply thought there might be some people who would find it interesting is all.
2. I'd never seen anything out on what the new colors were going to be,and few of the screens were somewhat interesting. So I posted it up,if it wasted your time by reading then I'm sorry. Not everyone has seen it however nor are you the only person in here. Wasn't meant to offend/piss off anyone. Simply posting something that may have not been seen.
3. Just a little bit of info some people might want to know about, nothing more.
4. Let me state for the record that none of this has been confirmed and considering game mags don't always have their facts exactly right this isn't 100%. In the new GI it states that the 6 Jedi Classes will have different combat styles. Now if that means the new classes light and dark being separate or the 3 original and the dark/light new classes together it did not say. It also stated that one of the new saber colors is going to be Silver. Now the screen shot that it was stated in was one of the character fighting a robot that was blowing up making seeing the saber rather difficult so it's hard to tell. Another screen showed a new female face, white with blond hair tied into a pony tail that was cut so the tail ended flat. She also had black lip stick. A screen showed what might be a new stance with dual sabers. The person seemed to be holding both sabers so the blades were towards the ground. There were also a few screens that were not up at lucas arts.
5. Guess it all depends on how you look at it. Using one in battle I could see as perhaps being below them. However owning one does not mean it has to be used. But over all I see what you're saying.
6. Being able to build a lightsabe is important as shown in the movies (reference: Vader lines on Ep. VI) but that is it, we seen that the Emperor had no visable lightsaber and he was more powerful in using the force that Luke. Never played the p&p game so I'll have to take your word on that. As for the comment above,as you stated no lightsaber was seen on him,he could have had one though. Still, point taken. Just a little something I found, could have nothing to with the game but I thought it was an interesting bit of info.
7. I lost the addy to the web site where I got this off of and people who play the P&P SW game may have all ready seen this but it was interesting and might have something to do with the lack of powers at the start. Considering he/she does not have their saber. Also may explain why finding the characters actual lightsaber is an option in the game. Might give a boost to the players Force Points or allow extra powers to be choosen. One of the rites of passage for a Jedi is for him or her to construct a lightsaber. The lightsaber acts as a focusing device, allowing the Jedi to reach a state of attunement with the Force which enhances his combat capabilities. The "Tales of the Jedi Companion" by West End Games gives a little information on the construction of lightsabers. The following is from that book, page 142 (with modifications for D20 compatibility): Most Jedi build several lightsabers over a lifetime, each saber more powerful and well-balanced than the last. These improvements relect the Jedi's increasing prowess in his use and understanding of the Force. The loss of a lightsaber can so demoralize a Jedi that he momentarily stumbles in his ability to access the Force (losing 1D (D6)/-2 (D20) in Force skills until he constructs a new blade.
8. Consider the asteroid exploding, or that odd gridwork above a planet. No idea. The new Sith with a mask. I think it's a Jedi Master that worked from the inside. Perhaps one shown in Knights, maybe not. And that's a very wild guess on my part. The sceenshots show combat with multiple types of enemies, something KOTOR was skimpy on. True, could be interesting. Why is there a character wielding a red (usually Sith/evil) and a blue (good-guy) lightsaber at once? PC's obviously could do this in the first game, but this suprises me in an official screenshot. Changing things up,or simply just something done in the screen. What are those red-glowing things around the handles of the two lightsabers? I'm thinking a Feat that has been maxed,or a force power of some kind. There is an interesting bridge/navigation area in one the screen-shots. Whose ship is that? The Siths? No idea at this point. What is that big-uber-droid in the last screenshot? A big-uber-droid who's not very happy with you. Is Peragus actually an asteroid and not a planet? Would be my guess for the moment, unless new info comes out to say otherwise. What are the new creatures in concept art? The one kind of looks like the frog things outside of Jabba's palace in ROTJ. What are the purposes of the laser beams in the third concept art? Don't know. Are Kreia's robes modelled after Samurai garb? I don't think so,but could be wrong. Looked to me simply done to make her look mysterious. What are the new locations? Won't know without more info. Is Mira single? Guess that depends on you.
9. Wow, you think some people would take a hint when you 'politely' flame them. Thanks for proving your skull is as thick as your gut. That was polite?*L*If you say so. You're welcome, and thank you for the wild generalization.
10. Hold off on screenshots/movies until more models/levels/textures are done. A few new screens wouldn't hurt, long as they're nothing major. Just a little something new to look at and talk about.
11. The game is due out in Feb? End of the summer before anything major I would think. Though adding a few screens to the ones they have would be nice.
12. Next time edit your post d!ckwad, it makes you look much more intelligent than posting twice. *Chuckles* Interesting... Two different posts, for two different reasons. Not like it was a double post. (That being the same exact post twice in a row.)
13. I'd also quite like a Plaisir Du Texte-type ending; where something sudden and intensely shocking is injected into a notably comfortable context. If not in KOTOR2 then another game down the road. MC:"Hey guys we won!" *The "Guys"* "Woohoo!" *A beam falls down from above, smashing the "guys"* MC:...Well that sucks...
14. "Bittersweet endings
15. Sorry if this has been brought up all ready, but they mentinoed that romance isn't the only or main focus of the interaction. Does that many more then one member of the party would open for the option of a romance?Besides the main male/female lead?
16. "Yes, an ending in the same tone as ROTJ would be really good, excellent idea." Would be interesting, would be a nice touch if who gets killed is based off choices made in the game. If for no other reason then the replay value it would add.
17. "Feargus Urquhart: We plan to continue in the foot steps of the first product with the romances. As to what we plan to do to improve on it, we
18. "Yes, but TESB left with the cliffhanger, as you said. After playing a game for 40-50 hours and being left with a cliffhanger isn't a smart gamedesign choice IMHO." I would agree.*Thinks*Well unless they have plans to make a 3rd one,but that's neither here nor there. My Point was,the end of Empire had a very down feeling about it. Maybe the big twist is less of a twist and more of a shocker. Like a party member being killed at the end. And the final scene would be the group gathered around the person on a big Bar BQ. Like the end of ROTJ and Ep 1. That would be for the light side. The Dark side has a lot more ways to end things with a "darker" feel to it.
19. Maybe Empire like, with or without the cliff hanger.
20. Good point but I think that would possibly make the game a bit easier...having a stronger heavy armor and having the best force powers would make things a bit uneven...i think that's why the rules apply to most of the force powers only being able to be used while wearing clothes, robes, and other non-armor items. Hmm,what if they made feats that allowed the Jedi to wear Armor and use the force? Could also be possible make it so the only armor that could be used is light or medium. I rather like the robes, but it did strike me as a bit odd that some of the Sith used Armor and had no prob blasting off a round a lighting or something like that.
21. "2) Remover respawnable enemies" Besides the the mutants in the lower city, and animals in Tatooine, what enemies respawned? And the ones that did gave crap for Exp,the time it would take to boost a level from fighting them would hardly be worth it. Then again I never actually tried to do boost my level like that,so maybe it wouldn't take as long as I'm thinking.
22. "I don't see any problem here. Add an option to the gameplay settings which allows you to remove the level cap with a strong warning that it might affect the game balance. So the power gamers can have their way and the rest just don't care. " If it were possible to add such an option, that could solve a lot of problems. Though I'm not sure if it would be possible or not. *L*Though you'll pry have a hard time getting some of the people around here to go with it. For some reasons options seem to be bad thing to a lot of gamers.
23. "If I want to watch a fantasy movie I will bust out LOTR as far as games go I want to actually play through the cool action not sit and watch. " Depends on the game, not always a bad thing. But the way Bio did the scenes in Knights was decent.
24. *L*I was just tossing the quote out there. I said awhile back(not in here) that the cap would pry be bewtween 25-30. I hope it takes a little more to level up after you hit 20. But with or without a cap it makes no difference to me,just tossing it out there like I said.
25. "Also this game isn't using the D20 system. The developers are either going to make the level cap much higher then 20 or not place one at all. The prestige classes have not been confirmed as of yet for non jedi classes, however bounty hunter sounds like a good one if they do exist. " There was an interview posted in here at: http://www.valhallagamers.com/index.cfm?nb...=505&nbdStart=1 In it this was said: "Feargus Urquhart: Currently, I think we are capping it at around 30, but it might be that we remove the cap completely depending on how balancing the game goes."
