Heh,I can't even think of a half way serious comment to that. I'll go with... More power to ya then. -

They tried to use me to overthrow the Sith? Well, all they did was reinstate me to power! Revan would have been dead without their intervention. Besides Revan was Light first, then the character fell. -
It's not about changing time spans as much as it is about thinking in terms of "generations" so to speak. BC and AD for example. It's way of explaining different sections of history. It doesn't change how old the earth actually is,it just breaks it up into a time frame. Did the same sort of thing here. The reset of the calander basically set a new start point from a historic stand point. So it's possible that Pal considered his Republic, that being the current form of the Republic,to be a 1,000 years old.

Nur it was stated very clearly that there hadn't been a full scale war for a thousand years since the formation of the Republic both by Palpatine and by Amidala's Naboo advisor in Ep1. The Old Repblic is 1k years old in the movies. Not that I'm trying to say Knights fits with the rest of the EU but a possible explination for this. Battle of Ruusan this struggle took place roughly 1,000 years before the Battle of Yavin, during the latter stages of the Great Sith War. It was a prime example of the Old Republic's ability to pacify a recalcitrant group which disregarded the Republic's authority. In a series of seven titantic battles, the Jedi Knights - led by Lord Hoth and the Army of Light - defeated Lord Kaan and the Brotherhood of Darkness five times. The Sith forces were decimated, and Lord Kaan and his followers created a thought bomb as a last-ditch effort to destroy the Jedi. In the resulting explosion, every single warrior on Ruusan was obliterated except one. That lone survivor was the Sith Lord, Darth Bane. Ruusan Reformation this was the name given to the point in galactic history, a thousand years before the onset of the Clone Wars, when the Republic Measures and Standards Bureau reset the galactic calendar. The outcome of the Reformation produced one of the most accurate depictions of galactic time known to the Old Republic The Republic of Pal's time took place after the reformation of the Calander. Meaning to Pal,his Republic was a 1,000 years old.

Bastila vs. Atris vs. Mira

*shrugs*I like the way Atris looks more then other two. Can't compare stories at this point because two of the stories we don't have yet. -

Yes it was,and it was actually edited in the US version because it would have had an M rating in it's original form. Which set off it's own set of debates. And Topaz said, the game in general was rather tame except for that character and that scene. The story was very dark through out and that scene took place right near the end of the game so it was sort of one of the big scenes in the game. Not to mention it was the first in a 6 game series so they wanted to set up the Villian as a real bad guy for the others he'll be in. -

In one scene in the game the character didn't exactly do anything sexual to the "robot" like little girl. However the way the scene was done with not only the sound but the look on the villiain's face was highly suggestive. And it was more then obvious that the character was, shall we say, getting off on the act. *Spoilers for the game* As I said the girl was somewhat like a robot and had inside her "mind" info the villain wanted. So he forcefully took it from her mind. It was for lack of a better term, mind rape of the "robot" like charcater. Because the character looked like a very young child it set off a lot of people. -

Very good game IMO. Just has a rather dark story line to it. Heh,should have seen some of the debates that were started when the game came out over it's 'T' rating. Some people were VERY upset it didn't get an M or higher. -

People wanted to know why the character was such a nut job. And I toned it down from how I was going to say it at first. -

He REALLY likes little "Robot" like people that look like 9 year old girls. He's a little off his rocker to say the least. -

Have you ever played a FPS shooter? "Killed" enemies in video games? Guess what? Killing in the name of LS is just as bad as killing in the name of DS. True it is just a game and true you won't go to hell for going DS in the game. I'm not sure anyone really thinks they're going to hell or anything like that if they go DS. But playing a DS game isn't for everyone. Just as playing LS isn't for everyone. And Killing is the same for both sides? You're saying that because it's fiction I assume? With in the bounds of the story however there's a big difference. -
In ROTJ,the droid at Jabba's palace was female I believe. In the scene where 3PO and Artoo are told what their jobs will be.

When you level up,will you have the ability to save your feats/force powers for a higher level? You could do that with your Skill points in the Knights but you had to spend your feats/powers.
-
When it comes to changing the hue of one's lightsaber, will the repair skill play into how much or how little it can be changed? Or is that something anyone can do? Does one need one of the new lightsaber upgrades to do this? Or can it be done without anything special? And I asked this once before but you weren't sure at thet time. Have the Sens been fixed to be a more "in between" class? I.E. More feats then a Con but less then a Guardian, more force powers then a Guardian but less then a Con?
-
Wasn't it said that certain characters would only show up based on which side you choose Revan to be? 13 seems a little small of number then. Maybe 17-20 total in the game but only 12-14 on a play through based on the Revan LS/DS question. I don't think it was said you'd have only 10 to choose from on a play through was it? Just that you're only allowed to have 10 in your party?
-
I missed that,interesting.
-
Was it ever actually said that you would be able to take an apprentice? Or is this just a guess?
-
Possible, maybe Atton starts of more neutral and by making certain light choices he starts disliking you and as such goes dark. Would that mean if you made certain dark choices he'd go light?
-
The two Force powers look very different, battle meditation puts a green like mist around all the party and red around whatever they're fighting. Sight shows which side the different characters lean. Blue for light, the PC and the new character and red for dark, which is Atton.
-
It's just a little thing that could change how people play the game. For someone like myself who plays light it could be a situation where hey either don't use Atton much, try and change his side,or maybe depending on how the party members option work try and run him out to replace him with someone else after the start. For Dark characters it could add another party member who turns out to be a decent character. Don't forget Atton has ability to "come back to life" in a fight. Maybe Atton is the third sith lord, masqueradeing as your friend and ally, I mean can you imagine anyone seeing that coming?! :D That would be interesting...if you fight him in a group make sure to kill the other ones first...
-
why does it even matter what alignment he is? because it was assumed he was a "good guy", so if in fact he's a "bad guy" it's an unexpected twist? Pretty much covers it for me. I always assumed he was a "Light" side character. So that he seems to be dark, means the character might have more an edge to him then a lot of people thought. Could change the way a lot of people look at him. Maybe it one of those DS clouds we heard about in the E3 demo. Don't know too much about those, possible I guess.
-
Where that's true,as someone pointed out, Atton is red while the PC and the new character are blue. So unless the PC did something "good" that upset Atton to make go dark then it looks like Atton is dark. Unless they just did that in the screen to show the difference bewteen the two.
-
Everyone's been making fun of Atton because of the way he looks and he's pry some kind of dark side monster that eats baby Jedi...... ... ... ...
-
Atton glowing red is rather interesting too me. Now I'm rather curious about this character's background. Am I the only one who figured he was light or neutral?

http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/679/679264....html?fromint=1 Might be the screens Craft posted up before, but a lot of people couldn't get them to work so I figured I'd throw this link up. In the one screen Force sight seems to be on and Atton is glowing red. He's a dark character??
