  1. I still have to get around to playing the White March expansions. Anyone know how well the console version translated? I have the PC version (obviously), but am tempted to pick up the PS4 version if it's at least on par with the PC one as I prefer playing on my console than my crappy laptop.
  2. My cousin's got this. Dude's obsessed with CoD to the point where he'll take his week's vacation every release date for the new iteration of CoD in November.
  3. I could never get around to finishing the new Torment game. I don't know what it was, but at some point it just lost my attention.
  4. So, it looks like my game is glitched. Nick Valentine got shot and went into "can't get up" mode, but even after combat was over, I had no option to use a stimpak on him nor did he get up on his own. So he's just sitting there on the ground. I can interact with him, but he doesn't move. I even tried parting ways with him, hoping he'd get up and head back to where I sent him. But, nope, he's still sitting there. Ugh. My last save was quite a while ago, too, and I really don't want to replay that section. Hopefully he ends up making his way back to Sanctuary Hills on his own after I'd dismissed him.
  5. Where's Nuka World on the map? Or do you get the "quest" from someone who then gives you a map location that can't be found without that person talking to you?
  6. So I decided to get a couple of DLCs for FO4, but I'm unsure at what point during the game I can access them. Thus far (I'm early and just visiting Nick Valentine to get him to help me find Shaun), neither seem to be available.
  7. I sure hope that is not a complaint, parents will always treat their kids as children. You can't seriously treat someone as an adult once you had to change their nappy, so give them a break. At least they know what you like, so you're blessed. Oh, I just think it's cute/amusing more than anything. It's just funny to me that she essentially does the same thing now that she did back when I was a kid and had a list for Santa.
  8. I think my mom thinks I'm still a kid. She insists on getting me a game for Christmas, and even goes through the ritual of wrapping it and putting it under her tree for when I come visit. So imagine my shock (not really) when I visit her for Christmas and Assassin's Creed is waiting for me under the tree.
  9. I gave up on trying to finish "A Cold Darkness" without dying. The final mission, they basically send swarms of enemies at you, many of which are carrying grenades that set off right when they run up to you. It's just such a looooooooong mission to slog through only to end up dying because the game decides suddenly you have a hundred enemies charging at you and you have half a second to shoot a target that needs to be destroyed, all while trying to avoid those swarms of enemies with grenades.
  10. Thank God I could continue from where I left off in the Cold Darkness DLC. One more tower to go, but I'm mopping up the other collectibles first. Can't seem to find the last prisoner ...
  11. Calls Geralt a douche. Suggests game starring Commander Shepard. At least Geralt never had a derp face or sat inappropriately while wearing a skirt.
  12. Trying some Cold Darkness Awakening DLC for RotTR. I hope I don't have to start at the very beginning. I had to back out to take care of some real life stuff, but I'm not sure if that DLC actually saves or if you have to complete everything in one play through.
  13. I assume that's for the Baba-Yaga DLC? When I finally managed that I noticed that achievement was bugged and it didn't trigger since the game hadn't counted one of the collectibles. Nothing much I can do about it either since I, well, collected them all. I assume they fixed the achievement, just not retroactively so I'd have to start over if I wanted to fix that. Nope, I believe it's just part of the main game. It's one of those "challenges" you have for each map, and this one is on the map where all the Remnant folks are hanging out (something valley?). I tried it again yesterday, but the controls simply refuse to go into a dive. Every single time she just jumps and lands feet-down instead of actually completing a dive into the water.
  14. ^So apparently even the wussy difficulty setting is too tough for me. I can't seem to get anywhere because they just keep sending swarms of enemies at me. And again, the fact you have to start over from the very beginning is beyond annoying.
  15. Decided to play through some of the additional content for Rise of the Tomb Raider. I tried a bit of Croft Manor; it's got a Resident Evil vibe. The damn grenade carrying "monsters" that charge at you and self-destruct are annoying as hell. Some folks like it, but I'm not a fan of when you die all your progress gets reset. I'd killed all three "skulls" and was facing the big boss when one of those suicide grenade lackeys killed me, forcing me to start all over again.
  16. I've turned into a console gamer, but I still love RPGs and still prefer NV to FO4. Hell, I prefer FO3 to FO4.
  17. High diving off of platforms is much more complicated than it needs to be in Rise of the Tomb Raider. This one platform keeps giving me trouble, for some reason. It's the last platform of 4 that I need to complete to finish the challenge.
  18. Finished the Baba Yaga DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider. It was pretty obvious who the witch was well before the final reveal, but whatever. Interesting enough DLC. Only minor complaint: timed jumps. I hate, hate, hate when I have to scramble to a ledge/bridge in time before it drops back to its original spot, especially when that's literally the only time the game introduces that feature.
  19. Finished all the tombs and crypts in Rise of the Tomb Raider. Only have the DLC Baba Yaga or whatever it's called to go. It's kind of cool that when you talk to the villagers post-game, they have comments that reflect the fact certain events took place in the game's final act, and don't just repeat the same crap as though it's still mid-game.
  20. Lara Croft has ADHD. She gets distracted so easily. "I've got to beat these bad guys to this artifact. The fate of the world depends on ... oh, look! A shiny trinket"
  21. Reaching the end of Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm not sure how I feel about the story portion of the game. It's pretty good, but it also feels really short. The extra tombs to explore, however, is a huge step up from the first game in the reboot series.
  22. Always difficult to tell how far into the game you actually are in open world games, where there are a lot of side content to do that could potentially be part of the percentage you have yet to complete. I'm probably somewhere halfway through Rise of the Tomb Raider's main story, but I can't be sure because I've also got quite a bit of side content to go.
  23. That's pretty much how most of my "stealth game" play throughs end up going. I'll kill a couple of enemies who just needed killing, but try and knock-out the rest of them.
  24. When one of the outfits you can buy/unlock for Lara is a tank top to wear while traipsing around in snow and ice and minus-100 weather, I try to look the other way with some of the other less than realistic items in the game.
  25. She's proficient with Googling "how to make poison with random fungus".
