  1. Made my way to Far Harbor. Just finished helping that first town kill those things that swarm the gates.
  2. So, if I do a couple of outstanding quests for the Raiders (didn't finish off the main quest line yet in Nuka World), it means Paladin Danse attacks me on sight. Wonderful. I'd only just started his questline.
  3. Pretty much at the end of the Nuka World DLC. Basically, my options are either make an enemy of everyone back in the Commonwealth, or kill everyone on the Nuka World map. Thanks for the extremes, Bethesda.
  4. I keep multiple saves because I'm *that guy* who refuses to let his best soldiers die if they do so due to some unlucky stuff.
  5. Came across what appears to be a quest-breaking bug. Doing the sidequest in Nuka World for that crazy Nuka Cola chick. I found one of the hidden Cappys she's got me looking for, but after clicking on it, nothing happens. It still appears as unfinished in the quest log, but I no longer have the option of clicking on it again. I'll be pissed if I can't complete this quest since it's quite involved.
  6. I'm in Nuka World and doing that quest for that crazy chick who loves Nuka Cola from FO3, and I have no idea what I'm actually supposed to do. I can't find these "images" anywhere.
  7. He did say Medieval fantasy, so I don't think games like Wasteland or Shadowrun will appeal to him. Otherwise, they're good options. I couldn't finish Tides of Numero Uno, so I can't recommend it. Dungeon Siege III is actually pretty good, as long as the OP isn't expecting similar to DS I and II.
  8. About to start Nuka World. I'm not sure which companion to bring along, if any. Nick Valentine for Far Harbor was obvious.
  9. I'm a hoarder. I keep collecting all these "special" weapons and armor in FO4, but I rarely carry more than 2 or 3 of them with me. The rest just sit in my storeroom in Sanctuary Hills.
  10. Cait's sidequest in FO4 isn't close to as good as Nick Valentine's was.
  11. In fairness, unless you're a ghoul the chances of surviving past age 35 in that world is pretty slim.
  12. That's my average for a month. I'm starting to think I need to adjust my priorities.
  13. Came across an example of the flaw in "leveling" enemies. I ran into a deathclaw that was only level 22 (I'm level 35 now) and had no trouble with it. A couple of minutes later I faced a raider who was a level 40 and he alone gave me more trouble than a deathclaw. Some enemies should be high level no matter where you stumble upon them.
  14. It's crazy how good Vegas is right out of the gate. It would take a monumental collapse for them over the second half not to make the playoffs, so hopefully they make history and can make it.
  15. Preston and getting sucked into building settlements was what ruined my first fallout 4 experience. Second playthru was Soo much better because I interacted with Preston with extreme moderation. I mean, I understood it at the beginning when there was like no settlements and no minutemen. But at this point in the game, these settlements are established and have defenses built (thanks to me), plus there are minutemen running around. Yet everything falls on me again. Meanwhile, Preston just walks around Sanctuary Hills, trying out the various couches I've built. Lazy bugger.
  16. I'm probably high enough level now that I can attempt the two FO4 DLC, but stupid Preston has me running all over the place rescuing settlements who can't even kill the 3 raiders or the 4 level 1 ghouls that are attacking them every ten minutes.
  17. Boring and mostly linear. Murdered: Soul Suspect was even more linear, but it didn't pretend to be an action-RPG (except QTEs), and the story was more intriguing and the characters more reliable (except the main villain). Though, TW3 boss battles would be interesting, if the controls were better. As it is, the game strongly reminds of that GTA: Vice City mission, where the player needed to drive the questgiver to hospital (Cassidy, I think), while being intoxicated. Edit. Didn't know that anyone else is playing TW3 now. My apologies for the spoilers, if I posted any. I thought the plot was pretty good, considering who was behind it all and how it all came to be about. In any case ... The Fallout 4 companion "like" system is amusing. I brought Cait along and executed this innocent woman in cold blood with a head shot and got the "Cait liked that" message.
  18. What was wrong with the plot? It wasn't some sort of masterpiece of literature, but I thought the ultimate "reveal" was pretty good.
  19. More FO4. I can't figure out a way to: a]amass 20+ settlers b]get them 100% happiness My biggest settlement (Sanctuary Hills) is currently at 17 residents and the highest happiness level I've reached is 85. I've made sure there's enough food, water, and beds to accommodate all of them, enough defense to protect them, and even added stores that are supposed to add to happiness. But I still can't max out.
  20. From what I've read from people who have actually played both. Pillars is pretty much made for consoles, though it wasn't originally made with consoles in mind. The new UI fits perfectly and surprisingly feels much better than it's pc counterpart. Same with Divinity Original Sin... I've only played the pc version myself but by everyone saying that, it definitely has made me interested. Interesting. I think I'll be waiting for a sale, though. I can't justify paying full price (which is what it currently is at) for the PS4 when I already paid for one of the mid/higher tiers for the PC version. It's half off right now I believe on PSN I don't like buying digital. I prefer a physical copy.
  21. The one downfall of having too many companions is I never know which one to bring along and which to send to Sanctuary Hills to pick up at a later time. I've currently got McCreedy with me. He seems to like it when I steal stuff, so that's a bonus.

  23. From what I understand, it's a good port with the exception of load times. I think I heard the controls actually translated quite well, however the load times were quite long. I'm not sure if that was patched or not. In that case, I'll get it when PoE hits bargain price for PS4. Sorry Obs, but I gotta cut costs somewhere! I've seen prices of £10 mentioned already. Not around here. Most places I've seen (including online like Amazon and Best Buy) have it for around $50 still. Black Friday sale had it down to as low as $40, but never lower.
  24. You game is just fixing itself. I mean, he's a robot, being able to stimpack him didn't make sense to begin with From what I read hitting him with something that stuns, or just shooting him until he needs a stimpack could both work (or fast traveling, but yeah...). Made the mistake of pushing through the start of NieR: Automata and I think I'm likely to actually finish this game even despite the control scheme. My biorhythm is not going to like this though, not at all... Thankfully there's a part of a quest he's supposed to meet me somewhere (Doctor Almari), so he magically transported there when I arrived.
