Other than unskipable cut-scenes, there's not much here that bothers me, and even then I rarely hate them. I must just be easy that way.

I figured out what I did wrong. In my eagerness, I neglected to bring my friends along. At this point, I'm not enjoying the game. It's like a FPS where all the targets are only a centimeter on your screen. Should I follow the main story line or do trade runs to get money and upgrade my ship?

He'd give a long speach about loving one another or he'd solve things through a fist-fight. For some people, I'm sure it is. It wouldn't surprise me if you find Kha'ak beating to be an average, everyday activity. Then again, you've said that you've already spent hundreds of hours beating on the Kha'ak already.I'm a noob here, and it's not as simple for me. I'm on the first mission. Grab a friend, look for Kha'ak in three sectors, and destroy them. I've found a ship scouting for the Kha'ak and destroyed it. I got a promotion. Is the objective fulfilled? Should I go back for another mission? No clue. I can't find a 'current objective screen' and when I head back to my original location, nothing happens.

This game needs a better manuel and tutorial. How am I supposed to beat the Kha'ak without instruction?

The game scares me. I know almost nothing about it, and have read it eats noobs alive.

Now say 'Kha'ak' as a single syllable and tell me if you'd use the word in a conversation with your grandmother.

As long as they're done well, as they actually are in Fallout 3, I like traps. But what is wrong with the example you gave? She forgot to periodically save.

I just picked up this game.. the alien menace is called the c--k. I just watched a three minute intro with voice over. These are lines taken from it:

This is silly. I was halfway to level 10, upped the difficulty, cleaned out one Vault and leveled up. Maybe two of the people in the Vault had guns, the rest were lead pipes, knives, and fists.

I found the Charisma bobblehead . I can't find the 'log' for that one though. .

The real problem is that the local area maps are horrible. They look neat and I imagine that's the sort of image a PipBoy would generate, but they're difficult to work with in multi level mazes.

I went back to vault 101 with dogmeat. I couldn't get in, but he just ran through the closed vault door and killed some people. I have no idea who.

Bah! I hate you all. I played at easy, discovered over 39 locations, finished 9 quests, and haven't even reached level 10 yet. I play on normal and die.

You can see his health meter if you're far enough away, or if you go into VATS.

Most likely, yes. But that doesn't give you or anyone else the right to tell people what they can or cannot think. Do you get it yet? And Bethesada doesn't have to cater to tastes they find unpleasant. Yes, in the real world, setting off an atomic bomb is worse than killing a child. In a game, pressing a button and seeing an explosion is not as bad as watching a child getting their head blown off in slow motion.

BTW: Were you sarcastic about the romance? The others all seem to dispute that it's in the game. I'm going to guess the majority of other people are playing male characters.

Neither that, nor the kiss counts as getting laid. In Mass Effect and Witcher you can get laid. Fallout 2 discribed you waking up with a ball-gag in your mouth and vauge, unpleasent memories of the night before. For it's time, that counts as getting laid. And the game runs great. I've only had it crash on me once, and that was after I played around with the .ini file.

Well, I guess that counts for something! Also, Maria Calliban is disputing the notion of there being no romances. I dispute the notion you can get laid. I paid a hooker 120 bottle caps and she just slept on the bed with her clothes on. How did Dark Raven manage to get some?

Never before have I enjoyed gore in a game. Yet, there's just something about sneaking behind a master super mutant, crit hitting them in the head, and getting a slow mo image of it exploding and ripping off their neck. My problem with the gore is that nothing really happens to the torso. No huge chunk taken out of it when crit'd with a point blank shotgun blast. Not like in FO1&2. Limbs and headshots are straight, though I've never done a torso shot. Not one. If I have them in VATS then I'm going for the head.
