  1. To get back on topic I haven't seen any pics of the Conversation system in Oblivion. I hope it is more like the NWN/KotOR/IE games than the wikipedia key word system like Morrowind.
  2. Why does God exist? Hmmm... Why not. To be serious, only you can tell yourself why God exists or if he exists at all. For you to gain that answer you must experience that answer for yourself.
  3. Yes, but it would be my bias and no one elses.
  4. Hmmm... Bonobos... *munch munch munch*
  5. No, it doesn't. It uses a real time combat engine that is based on the engine Reflexive used in their "Breakout" clone they made. The demo is in the Lionheart discs. It can be quite addictive after a while.
  6. And your point? Only through empiracal observation of events can one only gain unbiased knowledge and wisdom. Obtaining information any other way will only give you biased and sometimes blatantly wrong information.
  7. What I would really like to see them do is to drop both SPECIAL and the Fallout name, use the rules system they have used in TES games and make an original Post Apocalyptic setting. I would be all over that.
  8. No, it uses CTB. Continual Turn Base. With some minor tweaking it would be quite acceptable as the primary combat mode in Fallout 3.
  9. I only go by what I personally experience.
  10. Hey, its the only game with SPECIAL that has real time combat therefore the only evidence available. If there are more games that are real time that uses SPECIAL please tell me and I will be more than willing to give them a try. As far as I know there is only 1 available. SPECIAL works great in Turn Base.
  11. If they can make the combat of Fallout 3 use action points as per the SPECIAL rules in a set up like what NWN does for the DnD turn based rules then I would be more than happy with the combat of Fallout 3. I would be esctatic if I can still make the called shots and the screaming alphas.
  12. Fallout 1 and 2 has great combat. I loved the combat in those games. I love the fact you can take a laser rifle and sniper an enemy's eyes or groin. :D I also loved the turn based style in which it was presented. Of course your statement doesn't support you saying that SPECIAL works fine in real time, so I can safely assume you have no evidence of that at this time. SPECIAL does not work in real time. There is evidence quite clearly supports that.
  13. Shadowstrider, since you think that SPECIAL works fine in real time give us a prime example of SPECIAL being done well in real time. The only game I have played that uses SPECIAL in real time is Lionheart and combat in that game was very poorly done and down right terrible. Show me your evidence.
  14. In NWN, as well as KotOR 1 and KotOR 2 the rounds are made up in six second intervals. You can que up future actions which will occur on your initiative that will take up the six second round. Those with higher initiatives will have their six second round ahead of those who have a lower initiative. While the action does look real time it is indeed based on turns and how much one can do within that 6 second interval.
  15. Neverwinter Nights and the Infinity Engine games are not real time. They are turn based. Basically CTB using the DnD rules set. Nice try, but you fail. BGDA and BGDA 2 are the second and third suckiest games BIS ever put out.
  16. Name a DnD game that has good Real Time combat. Demonstone? Nope. BGDA 1 and 2? Nope. There isn't any. Shadowstrider, what the hell are you smoking and why aren't you sharing? SPECIAL does not work fine in real time. It is crappy in real time. I have played SPECIAL in real time and there is no way you are going to convince me otherwise.
  17. Well, we all very much know that Real Time and SPECIAL just doesn't mix. Those who need proof of that just needs to play that craptastic game Lionheart. SPECIAL, like Dungeons and Dragons, needs a form of turn base combat in order for it to properly function. Now to expect TB combat like Fallout 1 and 2 being the only option in Fallout 3 in today's market would be ridiculous but real time is just as ridiculous as shown in Lionheart.
  18. There are a few emu farms where I live. Emus... Hmmm... *munch munch munch*
  19. If Bethesda does what I consider right by it then that is a most definite yes, though I wouldn't refer it as "new Christ."
  20. Problems are never solved by burying one's head, metadigital.
  21. I don't expect some changes. I am expecting the Fallout 3 game not even be recognizably Fallout, SP. Some changes I would find acceptable would be a better implementation of Continual Turn Base Combat as seen in FO: Craptics and a free form camera with a First Person toggle (A cross between NWN and Morrowind).
  22. Hmmm... I wonder what a human would be like with all the junk DNA removed.
  23. I am expecting that Fallout 3 will not be a good game. I am expecting it to be Fallout in name only like FO: Craptics and FO: POS.
  24. I do. Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 are part of my favorite games of all time and I hate seeing more games like FO: Craptics and FO:POS being made thusly sullying the name of Fallout. If a developer/publisher is going to make a Fallout game it needs to be made right.
