  1. Quoted for truth <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  2. DN already said what she wanted anyway.
  3. It is damn hard to be a noble living in the swamp village for the whole life. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But the game was not just made for THAT scenario! Don't forget future expansions AND mods. Most of them have atleast one big city, and don't describe your past from the start. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, it was made for that scenario. If modders want to add background feats they can. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, but i would like more possibilities from the start, and in the source of it (I mean: included into the game by Obsidian and not modders)
  4. They acted like true knights. More people have to act like that, and the world has a chance to become a better place to live in. ^_^
  5. YOU started it <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, now that's mature. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is this per chance the 'kick the hungarian guy' week? I can laugh too a bit, but not if it gets THIS old.

  7. In the dialog.tlk: "And all of Katarr was destroyed, all of the Jedi killed...Including Master Zhar... Master Vandar..." I remember it from in-game, too. When you talk with the masters on Dantooine, if you ask other questions before going directly to the point. I only got it by exploring conversation options I normally wouldn't... seriously, by that point in the game, not many people are going to ask about what happened at Katarr again ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That some people think they are dead doesn't mean they really are.
  8. Jorian also gets offended if someone ( not even him) gets called a 'fool'. What does that tell you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't got offended, but it should not happen, people can communicate without insults too. <_< (not to mention again that its also against the forum rules)
  9. LOL, thats absolutely ridiculous. Anyone with problems must be playing a pirated version because NWN2 is obviously a perfect game! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your logic is positively Volournian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He didn't say *r00fles*
  10. But did they mention 'asylum' a lot? :D sorry
  11. I guess this is still better than 'since it's jorian'.
  12. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too true, too true :D I like the 3.5 version cleric, its perfectly fitting for a Lolth priestess
  13. 'noble' and 'smith' and 'librarian' would I like ^_^ Even more 'cut out' things, hmm? I do hope with time thay are pathing the dialogue options too. (especially those with alignment impact)
  14. As a not so funny aside, the only person I know personally that has had struggles with the game is my roommate, who pirated the game. Not that legit people aren't having issues, but it did remind me of the pirated copy of the Half-Life expansion, Opposing Forces, that had issues with the game that were actually found to be limited to only the pirated version. It was hilarious watching people bitch out Gearbox/Valve for the problems, only to eat their words and stumble saying that they did have legit copies and all that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> good for those you know (except your roommate) I know about 20 players, and only one has no problem at all (he says) all others (including me) have one problem or the other, I just don't talk about it, because i hope for : a. more patches b. money to get better parts for my PC
  15. Seeing that noone else voted on their own idea, i asked maximus to delete my own vote. Now I am on the lowest score I guess in the contest, but I don't care that much anymore, would have been nice to have a box with autographs, but that would only be possible now if lots of people would vote high. I think I really understand now what mod making is about, even if I don't get any award i still decided to create it somehow, sometime.
  16. master vrokk cant die, his own arrogence won't let him do it, and vandar was just a yoda clone anyway <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually he's Yoda's ancestor
  17. Ramza, there is a system already for creating balanced races/classes. All the released races have been created by that, and even if you think they aren't, they really are balanced in D&D. Aasimar get more ability scores because Tieflings get more skill bonuses, also the spell-like abilities are balanced. Think about half-orcs, they seem to be weak compared to the others, becouse they have a -2 on average ability scores, and no real skill bonuses like dwarves or elves. But they have a +2 Str, and that is counted twice in the score of balance, so in the 'weight' of them the abilities are still balanced. Favored classes are there since a long, long time in D&D, and most of the 3.5 version races are utilizing this: An Aasimar for example is ussually something good natured, and most % of the race are paladins. This is what favored class really means, they can be the them easier than the other classes, because it is in their 'blood'. Of course they can be a Wizard, or anything else, but that path is not natural for them to chose. But I do agree that in the current state the favored class is a bit restricted, I do suggest to increase the favored classes number for every race to either 2 or 3. PS: there is only one race that is truly not balanced: half-elf, I also made/still work on a D&D based game world, and I allow the half-elves to chose one of these on character creation: a. one extra feat on level 1 or b. one skill point per level With this small extra they are balanced, and becouse they actually have an option to chose from, the half-elven flexibility doesn't get hurt either.
  18. Genasi: * Air Genasi * Earth Genasi * Fire Genasi * Water Genasi * Dust Para-genasi * Ice Para-genasi * Magma Para-genasi * Ooze Para-genasi * Smoke Para-genasi * Steam Para-genasi Other Planetouched races: * Aasimar * Axani * Baphitaur * Cansin * Chaond * Draegloth * Fey'ri * Lesser Planetouched * Maeluth * Mechanatrix * Shyft * Tanarukk * Tiefling * Wispling * Zenythri I can't agree with givin all the races the same bonuses, there would be no point in chosing one above the othr, and in Rp speech they would be quite...the same race. Differences are created to SHOW that there ARE differences, if you don't like the other races (and i guess I am right looking at your Sig) then just allow human and nothing else.
  19. Intentional if by lack of animation you mean a separate attack animation like the one which triggered the Cleave. There actually is an animation for Cleave which consists of a purple swipe effect. I like it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This was a good choice on Obsidians part. Im playing a frenzied berserker, and there was a round where I was surrounded by 15 or so mephits and I killed them all in about a couple of seconds due to massive numbers of free cleave attacks. This is by the rules but would not be possible if there was an animation for cleave. It simply isnt possible to animate an instantaneous action - this is only possible in a turn based game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tell me then, how was this possible in NWN1, becouse animations were there for it?
  20. actually, there are much more planetouched than just 2, and you should think of not balancing anything. What's the point of being a wizard if a simple warrior can beat you on 1-1? Why to be a somewhat 'mystical' race if humans can defeat you in one blink of the eye? I prefer to have some less and some over powered races and classes, what are reflected in the campaign somehow.
  21. from here starts nwn2 things http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/?id=2...11&mode=classic
