  1. I'm in Nar Shaddaa, once again... (not only refugees and space pilots end up there). When walking from the landing platform to the refugee sector, you encounter a refugee who tells you about the sector and the Exchange. He ends with something like: if I hear something, I'll let you know. I never hear something of that guy. Has anyone?
  2. I wouldn't decrease INT: decreasing it from 14 to 12 means you'll miss 11 skill points till you've leveled up to level 8 (your first chance to get your INT to 14). If you want to be a sentinel, then play like one.
  3. If all your skills were listed as class skills, you probably installed a 'reballance mod', of witch part of it switches all your skills to class skills.
  4. Nice informative links <_<
  5. There are only two occasions in the game where you need a good STR: when you are forced to fight unarmed. Both occasions are 'bonus quests': you don't need them to complete to win the game. They are defeating the Handmaiden sisters and the Mandalorion Battle Ring. And chances are that when you have to fight in the Ring, you already have a good STR from equipment. The reason STR is important in unarmed combat is that the finesse feats don't work when unarmed. In that case your DEX modifier is no longer added to your attack roll, so you will hit less. I still think you have a good build. Increasing your STR from 8 to 14 only gives you a +3 to attack and damage. Why investing 6 points in STR for something that is only 'handy' twice in the game? Those 6 points are better placed in other attributes, like CON, INT, ... where they count for the whole duration of the game.
  6. Increase you're CON all the way to 18 when leveling up to be able to use the better implants. Go for the dual weapon and flurry feats to make your first attack from stealth count: 3 attacks with sneak attack damage. And have some stunning force powers (against droids/humans) for some additional sneak attacks. To make the force powers connect, concentrate on high wisdom and charisma when selecting your equipment. It's fun, sentinels don't suck when built properly. And because they are versatile, they are excelent solo characters.
  7. There's a couple of unlimited plasma / carbonite weapons for T3 (should you not want to directly control him, but then again, all the characters are pretty mindless when not under supervision, due to the combat queue AI and bugs); just have only the one waepon useable for the little bin. The biggest problem was the combat queue and AI voiding and populating of same. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm starting a new game right now as a sentinel. I'm planning to use an all droid party. Finally gives me the chance to hear GOTO's and HK's stories first handed. T3 will be in the party too. I've never had T3 fight in level 15+ parties, so there's a good chance I'll change my mind after I've tried.
  8. It's a known bug. Search this forum for answers (I'm too lazy to do it for you). There is a patch for it on the site where they restore the cut contents (www.gizka.org or something like that). First patch your game, then reload a game from before entering the acadamy. If you don't want to patch your game, just reload as Cassidy advised and don't choose the second menu option "Alright, we mean no harm" when entering the acadamy.
  9. T3 is a tank without a gun. He survives all battles yes, but doesn't deal damage, unless you personally control him. I haven't tried him out with the new AI scripts of Stoffe. That would allow him to use his special gear, like flamethrowers. Bao-Dur just doesn't seam to have enough AC to survive battles. I constantly need to heal him when playing as consular and Bao as front line fighter. But he is good in dealing damage when unarmed.
  10. Using robes on Bao-Dur would only have him die earlier. He's just no front liner. Most of the time I leave him a techie with some decent rifle. He's like T3: bad in combat, but more allround in the skills department.
  11. Don't forget to talk to all kind of people while controling B-4D4
  12. Yes: increase your INT. The number of skills you receive is dependent on two things: your current class and your intelligence. A consular receives two skill points, modified by his/her INT modifier. Since your intelligence is 8, your INT modifier is -1. So the total number of skill points you receive is one for each level. At character creation time you receive 4 times more, so in your case 4 skill points. You can't have a low INT and many skill points at the same time.
  13. To start the quest, talk to the Xcerca employee in the cantina, like Chodo suggested to you. When in doubt, consult the Journal screen. It has a list of unfinished quests and gives hint about what to do.
  14. Azkul has a secret stash of mercs, so... no, you can't wipe them all out.
  15. At least you can always re-read all spoken text in the dialogs window. Go to the Journal screen, click on the Messages button and then on the Dialogs tab.
  16. Yes, we all know that. The real question is this threat is: Is Kreia Arren Kae?
  17. Normally you face him first, then kill him. It's hard to face a dead man
  18. Main screen - search: "Handmaiden robes" I know, it's hard <_<
  19. Or visit Dantooine and check out the new computer panel at the space port...
  20. If you want to go dark side, leave him in his cage. For LS, free him. When leaving him, prepare for a though fight with Vrook later on, after the Koonda quest has finished. If you free Vrook however, you don't have to fight him.
  21. One of the pitfalls of winrar is that its default behavior is to use the full path of the files you're extracting. So when you've opened winrar, clicked your way to the override folder (inside the winrar archive file) and are ready to extract the files to your Kotor override folder on your harddisk, you will effectively be creating an override folder inside your Kotor override folder. To avoid that, extract the files without their paths.
  22. That is not true. I just tried with a consular who started with 18 charisma. He never once said anything like that, just the usual line. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The PC version doesn't count how many times you've completed the game. All it does is resetting the counter to 0 when you've reached Malachor V. To circumvent that, close Kotor, edit the swkotor.ini file in your kotor main folder, using a plain text editor like notepad. Find the [Game Options] section and locate the line GameCompleted=0 below it. Change it to GameCompleted=3. If the line is not present in the section, add it. Save the file and start a new game. Enjoy
  23. You mean in terms of cheesy lameness, right?Man,Aerie made Visas look strong.I only used her because she was a mage-cleric. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK, Aerie's was the worst of the standard BG II romances. But Viconia was hot! And both Viconia and Jaheira each had far more dialog then Atton, Visas and Handmaiden together.
  24. Bastila's was the most complete. Although Visas had a very promising start. But then, there was... nothing Four planets long I could ask the same four questions. But even Bastila's romance pales in comparison to the ones in Baldur's Gate II.
