  1. Actually, I believe they corrected this to a certain degree by stating Antilles was his first name with his full name being Captain Antiles Colton.
  2. Then don't use it Its supposed to be a combination of mandalorian type armor with electromesh and encrusted force crystals, and the mask is based off of Jango Fett's helmet, hence the look. You could say the same for alot of heavier armors and the Force Mask style masks though, except at least my stuff matches instead of running around looking like you have the fashion sense and matching abilities of a retarded elcectic jawa!
  3. Check out the dancer outfit mod in my signature. There is one that actually looks exactly like the Leia outfit and an Oola styled on, plus they have defensive bonuses, which are fully explained why and how in the item descriptions. I really didn't like most of the items in game. Thats why I made my own. I think my Jedi Armor and Mantle of the Force mask are far cooler than anything they had in game
  4. And? That clearly isn't official. I could go make my own list and post a link to it but that wouldn't mean a damned thing either. Frankly, I think we'd all be better off pretending midiclorians were never ever mentioned anyways. What a retarded idea.
  5. Why are there so many Sith in the worst JEDI poll? Haven't you learned there is a diference by now?
  6. I definetly enjoyed them. I like the true ancient aspect and feel they have to them, perfect for something set 4000 years before the movies, instead of looking like they could be two decades before the movies like the KOTOR games are. Sure, they weren't always so detailed and thing seem a little rushed, but come on, what do you expect? Comics are very thin little things to cram alot of stuff into. They would have been much better as novels, but for the medium, they were rather fun I thought. I never actually read Redemption though. The whole thing about Ulic Qel Droma being stripped of the Force never sat well with me. I hated that they gave the Jedi that power.
  7. Hell f---ing no. I'm apalled at the number of you who even said yes. You'd let a company rip you off, double charging you for what they were supposed to have given you the first time? I mean really, what the hell is wrong with you? I guess it is true that there is a sucker born every minute, and that no one has ever gone broke underestimating the stupidity of the public. I'd download that thing off a file sharer as soon as it was available, and consider that illegal action 100% justified.
  8. How in the world could you possibly know that? Thats pure conjecture. KOTOR1 barely told us anything about Revan's reign as Sith. Just because the game never pointed to specific instances of his use of power in such ways, doesn't mean he never did. After all, the game says specifically that he never did act in such a way either. Additionally, Malak did display tactics. You just seem to be foregetting them. He went after the Endar Spire specifically to try and take out the Republic and Jedi's most tallented battle meditator, a rather calculated strike. When they made it to Taris and were going to escape, Malak blasted the planet into oblivion to try and stop them. Use of overhwelming force, yes, but still a tactic. Waiting for the Jedi to attack Revan's ship, then betraying his master and firing on him at the right moment in an effort to take them both out, definetly tactical. And keeping the Republic fleet off balance and occupied elsewhere so that he could strike and wipe out one of the strongest Jedi bastions of Dantooine? If thats not strategy and tactics... No, no, no. She was a master nothing. We all saw it coming, and if we would've been given a legitamate opportunity to throw her off the Ebon Hawk earlier, I bet most of us would have taken it, Force Bond or not. Her "manipulations" only succeed because she was dealing with 1 and 2 dimensional characters, including the seemingly half brain dead Exile through whom we really never get the option to choose another path.
  9. Kreia isn't true Sith. No true Sith would seek to kill/destroy the Force, the source of their own power. Definetly Malak. Malak was what he was. He wasn't morally ambiguous. He wanted power, and he was prepared to go to any lengths to get it, whether through the lowly betrayal of Revan or the destruction of Taris. As for the "wasted resources" someone pointed out, thats hardly something a Sith Lord would care about. Better to wipe out all their enemies and rebuild in the wake when dominance has been fully established. Hell, look at Palaptine. HE wiped out an entire peaceful planet which would have had tons of resources, no doubt, and he did it just to send a message. At least Malak had a more specific goal in mind when bombarding Taris Besides, the Sith don't give a damn about their followers, traditionally. Again, look at Palpatine. The guy was the ruler of the Galaxy, with practically unlimited resources at his disposal and still wouldn't even shield his frigging TIE fighters. The strong pilots would survive, and if not, they're all expendable anyways. Once again definetly Malak. He's the true Sith. Just cause he has most of the traditional Sith aspects doesn't make it a bad thing. Knocking a Sith Lord as "just another guy seeking power" is like knocking a Jedi as "just another defender of the peace and the innocent," you just wouldn't do it because thats what a Jedi is SUPPOSED to be.
  10. I suppose I could agree to that to a certain degree. Putting the action that took place at Telos at Malachor instead, which would accomplish the Epic goal just the same while still pleasing those who think the game should end up on Malachor. I still would think, in my personal opinion, that Nihilus would be better off as the last boss still if the action were moved to Malachor. You go to the planet to find Kreia after talking to Atris and go through all that with her, meanwhile Nihilus and his fleet have come there in search of the Exile, and must be dealt with before leaving. Then the Republic and Onderonians, and whomever else could still get it on the fight, coming to attack the Sith forces that have been drawn out of hiding, all of that battle taking place while the story is developing on the planet.
  11. Download one of the influence modifier mods on pcgamemods.com
  12. There was nothing really wrong with Zalabar per se. I actually liked him. He's just one I see more likely to return to Kashyyyk and his tribe rather than somehow stumble into the True Sith War. I found Bao Dur kind of annoying, but I never really did get him to full potential. I think I expereienced a bug during my first play through where after a little while when I would talk to him the only option I ever got anymore was "Nothing. Nevermind" or something along those lines. Personally, I like seeing the females fighting next to me with their lightsabers blazing. After all, if I have to look at three characters, two of them might as well be nicely pixelated eye candy (particularly if wearing the Mesh dancer outfits I made which contain a decent amount of protection for reasons explained in their descriptions).
  13. I third that. I agree as well that I'd rather see Revan and the Exile as playable characters then someone new in the third game. Better to stick with the strong characters we already have and focus on the mystery of the True Sith, rather than having to learn about yet another new character. When you grow to like characters you want to see there continuing journey. Star Wars wouldn't be as fun if every movie they had new main characters. In fact, I'd like to see some of the support characters form both games brought back as well. Yeah, I know Revan didn't want to take any of his/hers and Kreia told the Exile not to as well, but maybe some of them make their own choice to head out there on their own later, same as Revan and the Exile did (with appropriate explanations as to why they came and how they found out the details). Not all of them though of course! I think KOTOR2 already suffered from too many characters as it is. HK, Mandalore/Canderous, T3, Bastila, one or two of the girls from K2 (Mira would be my personal pick with an option for romance this time ), and either Carth or Atton, but not both. I liked Mission alot as well, but I can't see her having a reason to tag along into the True Sith Empire this time around, although it would be interesting to see an all grown up Mission, especially since I love the Twi'lek ladies G0T0, Bao Dur, Zalabar, Jolee and Juhani were all rather forgettable/dull in my opinion, and I'd rather not see them make a return.
  14. You're incorrect. The Empire lasted 23 years as the dominant force in the galaxy, and continued to survive even after the founding and then fall of the New Republic. The New Republic only lasted about the same, or a couple of years more as the dominant force, but then ceased to exist. No one said it wasn't a good period to make anything from. The point is they already have done WAY more than enough with that period, as far as major conflicts go. They'd be hard pressed to fit any epic storylines in the New Republic period without conflicting with what has already been established. A game beyond that point could work, but I think they're going to be tentative about doing anything so far into the future just yet.
  15. Well, the New Republic doesn't last long. It falls and gets replaced with the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances near the end of the Vong invasion storyline. Besides, the problem with the Skywalker era is that there really is no more Sith to fight, and rumor has it that when Vader kills the Emperor he set the force back into balance as prophisized, so there will never be Sith in the future. I hope thats not true though, and there was the thing with Exar Kun at the Jedi Academy after that, so maybe it isn't. I like the Old Republic stories anyways. I just wish they'd follow the comics more and really get in touch with the ancient roots it has, instead of making everything a copy of the Star Wars movies, but just slightly less streamlined. The technology, ships and even the sabers and armor/robes the Jedi wore in the comics was of a much different style than that.
  16. You can make all the excuses you want for why she is how she is, but that doesn't change the fact that the description still fits appropriately, does it?
  17. I don't think thats totally accuracte. Exile was asked to return, but he/she still made the choice whether or not to come back. And the Exile isn't about avoidance either. He/she went to face the Jedi council and left only after they made him/her. Once the Exile returns, he/she isn't all about avoidance. As we heard more than once, he/she is a natural leader and was acting as such throughout the game from the very begining. Eh? You do have to kill Nihilus as it stands already, which is why its in the game as it is. He's the one you built up towards all game, not Kreia who you didn't know would betray you (well we all knew since it was so damned obvious, but aparently the Exile doesn't notice and we just couldn't get rid of her anyways). All it does is change the order.
  18. now,as I have seen this so many times in your posts I can't remain neutral-no stepping on anybody's toes, you keep referring to Kreia as something something hag, you're giving her rude names to make your side sound better, now please,if we may continue this debate with solid arguments rather than insulting the other side's representative?and Drakkonen,I am not insulting you or anybody else here,I just want for you to stop making this into more of an insurance commercial than a debate. Now,after the debate,Juma Juice is on me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I assume you're referring mainly to the hag part, which you take as a "rude name". Here is the dictionary definition of hag: 1. An old woman considered ugly or frightful. 2. A witch; a sorceress. So if any single word describes Kreia so well, it is certainly hag. As for the other quoted adjectives: Muddled, as in muddying, confusing or distorting, something she did all game. Prattling, as in chattering away endlessly and even pointlessly at times. Hypocritical, as in she wants the Force to Die, yet uses it without compuncture. Gimped, as in injured, weakened by the loss of her hand. Old, as in...OLD. So, sorry, my description of Kreia isn't simply name calling. Its an entirely accurate portrayal of her characteristics. I want a retraction There is nothing wrong with dialogue itself. However it is a game, which is supposed to be entertaining, and too much dialogue strung together, as with Kreia at the end, can be a bad thing. The action and battles are part of what makes KOTOR2 a game, and seperates it from simply being a bad version of those old, cheesy choose your own adventure books. I didn't say that she was lying. I said she was essentially a treacherous nutcase who mere moments earlier wanted to see the Force dead. Now you're going to take her advice on going to fight the True Sith using the same Force she wanted to kill, trusting her implicitly yet again after all she's done? Sure, take her facts or leave them, but the Exile should be smart enough to tell Kreia to stuff her advice on what to do with them. After all, if anyone has displayed a lack of stability and sanity, its Kreia. It showed the effect Revan's leaving had on his friend (for the LS Revan). Thats why I feel it would have been a better scene to have before any potential choices regarding your own friends, having that fresh in your mind, realizing the effect you're about to have on your allies as you make your decision right afterwards. Like Obi Wan says, it all depends upon a certain point of view. Certainly, the Exile goes on a path of rediscovery, but the only reason he came back at all is because of the Sith threat. I don't think rediscovery itself is the main goal. I think the Exile only undergoes that path of rediscovery for a purpose, as a means to another end. Within this chapter of the story, that purpose is to defeat the current Sith threat that has been hunting him. Otherwise, he/she would still be bumbling around somewhere in the Outter Rim. With regard to your Malachor V coments, I've already said, I agree the world is more importan to them all personally. I simply prefer the traditional heroic epic and Star Wars motifs of the heroes becoming whole by settling with the past and the personal issues before the epic final showdown. I already made it quite clear I do see it that way. As such, thats the real point, isn't it? That in my opinion, what I see as the bigger climax, should come at the very end, for action purposes, storyline purposes and for leaving people with a better feeling at the end of the game. Would that follow a similar pattern to KOTOR1 and other tradional Star Wars stories? Sure. That doesn't mean its the same story as them or that it loses any of the storyline's elements that way, it just makes for a better set up and progression. People like to knock KOTOR1, but for the amount of flack people attribute to it, it still has the nice shiny "Game of the Year" on the box, something that this game will never have, and wouldn't have even if the ending had been finished in its current format, in my opinion. It also tends to beat KOTOR2 handily with regard to enjoyment in the polls I've seen. Its not really a debate that will ever settle. You like it the way it is, I think it would be better much better in the other format. There are people who agree with both sides. Either way, it won't be changed, and we've all lost out already due to the lack of any real ending, at least until such time as such a real ending gets modded in.
  19. Why did anyone think he would be better? Maybe it had something about him consuming planets, wiping out the assembled Jedi council with ease, the darkness built up around him, Visas' dialogue about him, and the fear that with the Jedi wiped out he'd consume the whole galaxy?? Did you miss that stuff or something? Well, thats reall not what it would be like, is it? Anytime one of the Masters or Kreia taught you a new form or power or some such, it was generally well done scene wise. There is no reason to assume that doing it again for Exile's own personal power would be any different. Nihilus, the world killer, makes a far more convincing final bad guy than a muddled, prattling, hypocritical, gimped old hag. I've said repeatedly why I think it would be better storywise to rearrange the order, but something I'm surprised at is how many people are reluctant to admit that it was all downhill after Telos. Even if there were a better ending added, things still slowed down tremendously on Malachor following the more Climactic Telos battle with Nihilus in which everyone took part. Better to end the game on a high note, build up and action wise, even if you disagree with the better storyline wise side of it. Tell that to the reborn Emperor and Exar Kun.
  20. EnableCheats=1 it the correct line to add. Make sure you added it to the SWkotor2.ini file, not the other .ni file, and make sure you added it under the [Game Options] section, not anywhere else. Again, you won't see the console when you use it, but if you type everything right, when you check your inventory, the item will be there.
  21. If you added te proper line t you .ini file already, then all you have to do is hit the "~" key, then type "giveitem" followed by the item designation. You should note however that once you hit ~ the console is open, but you can't see it. Obsidian made it not visible for some reason. So if you wanted to get the mesh dancer outfit for instance you'd type this: ~giveitem g_danceroutfit04
  22. No, again you seem to be taking out one part of something I wrote and not reading through the entire post. I've explained -multiple- times how it better fits the story to have the Exile fight the antithesis of himself, the guy with the most power and the same sort of vampiric abilities as the Exile, LAST. I honestly don't see how you keep missing it unless you're flat out ignoring it. The action however, and the fact that all the factions are focused there does certainly add to the climactic feel of it all. That doesn't make it the sole reason for it. Oh, come on. Lets recap... Kreia has lied to you, betrayed you, used you as a puppet to go after her enemies, and, get this, wants to see the Force DIE. And now she is going to be the voice of reason? What kind of friggin' idiot would listen to her at all, knowing what they know, let alone after getting burned by her in the past? It would have made much more sense, and here is why: Kreia tells Exile what is out there, yes, and she tells him he'd have to leave his allies behind, like Revan did. Yet it is Carth, far more than Kreia, who shows the Exile the personal sacrifice Revan had to make when deciding to head out into the unknown. So it makes more sense to get that personal aspect last right before you have to make your personal choice and do the same to your allies. Not really. A similar scene with Canderous tilted toward describing Revan's darkness and the power he left behind could be used instead. Exactly my point. They were both byproducts, similar ones as far as their power goes, and Malachor V was more important personally for the Exile. So it makes sense for Exile to return their FIRST to understand fully what happened there and learn the last of the necessary secrets and lessons it holds, settling his personal baggage before setting off to defeat the planet consuming antithesis of himself, Nihilus. Notice that Visas Marr went to her chamber first to settle her personal stuff and center herself for the battle. Not AFTER. Why? Because it would have been totally out of place to come to terms with it and center herself afterwards instead of before. Just as it is out of place to defeat the biggest bad guy FIRST before understanding fully what happened to you and the true nature of your power.
  23. Well, to me, thats a huge issue as well (which is why I even included something about that in my suggestion), but I also feel that in the end, its a combination of all those things. Well, thats another thing I suppose. Was it really that thought provoking? To me, droning on about Force Bonds, echoes, the Force having its own will doesn't equal thought provoking. More like it was forced dialogue recycled endlessly to make it seem like there was much more going on then there was. Perhaps its just me (entirely possible), but I didn't feel like it provoked any, or that I even feel made any decisions during the game or given any real choice along the Exile's path regarding anything of that nature. Sure, you can agree to let the Jedi Masters cut you off from the Force, but even if you do it doesn't change anything. It amounts to nothing more than a mere dialogue tree option, not a true choice. The Exile cut himself off before the game starts, he gets his Force powers back either way. I felt the choice in KOTOR1 was more aparent and one I was actually involved in, particularly as a lightsider. You find out you're actually Revan, the Dark Lord, yet you have been betrayed, you have no memory of your past and while you're technically on the good side right now, you only are so because the Jedi Council has been using you as a puppet, a mere tool. Do you hold to the lightside and embrace the new self created for you, or embrace the darkness and try to reclaim your former self? Whether you saw the twist coming or not, at least you were given a choice and a dilemna to deal with.
  24. I disagree. Even with that dialogue, the so-called "climax" on Malachor is nothing compared to the one on Telos was Nihilus, the Sith forces, the Onderonians and Republic showing up etc. I mean hell, after that you even have the beginings of real closure and an ending anyways after fighting Nihilus when you finally talk to Carth. Thats when you should settle up with your party members to, now even more convinced of the need to follow Revan after talking to Carth, reinforcing what Kreia would have told you earlier. Malachor was far too slow and dull, and Kreia's endless dialogue didn't help speed it along. The closure of hearing from your party members after that would be great, but it would by no means add to the climax (or really, the lack of one).
