Bored so who did you hate the most from both KotOR
Belisar replied to Kalfear's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Liked: Mira (intelligent, egoistic, clever) Kreia (the mistress of intrigue) Bastila (so...naive...but being naive could be interesting^^) HK-47 (both games - he is never never never never never to be reached by any charakter) Handmaiden (can take care of her own) Disliked: Visas ("I-will-sacrifice-my-life-for-yours-but-i-am-stupid-and-dumb-and-i-dont-know-why-i-am-still-alive-even-though-i-am-not-worth-it" - GOD HOW I HATE HER) Bao-Dur ("Yes-general-and-i-have-so-bad-memories-of-the-mandalorian-wars-oh-how-i-regret-it "- PURE BULL****) G0-T0 ("I-want-the-balance-of-the-galaxy-but-i-can't-imagine-a-better-way-but-to-arrest-you" PERFECT STUPIDITY So that's my point-of-view. I know it is attackable so feel free to do so!^^ -
This is definitely a bug and/or intended to be so. I didn't get the bonuses, too. But I didn't care much about it.
-
...and you are sure you are not mixing up Atris with Kreia?

Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Belisar replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, they have both quite the same kind of acting and thinking, so this would just be a question "woman vs. man" -> because I am a man, I agree and say: Sidious would win. But I nevertheless like Kreia more. -
Most Favorite/Least Favorite characters in TSL
Belisar replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I've just seen this thread a couple of hours ago as I do not that often visit the forums (despite the fact that my notebook just kinda blew up), but here are my thoughts on this topic: The top three of charakters I like(d): (I do not mention charakters that appeared in KotOR I, of course. If I did, there would surely be HK-47 ranked as No.1) 3rd: Handmaiden I like short hair, I like white hair (not linked with the age, of course^^). And I like her background, the youth rebelling in her heart against all Atris taught her. Her sometimes rational, but nevertheless sometimes also emotional behaviour. Not to forget that she seems to be quite egoistic and not the "I-will-sacrifice-my-life-for-yours" thing like Visas is. 2nd: Mira Egoistic, stubborn, intelligent, self-condident, sometimes arrogant, clever, strong and sexy. The only thing I miss is abackground which actually makes sense. I really was disappointed of her story. 1st: Kreia Yeah, I like her. I really like her. She is quite like Prince Xizor in her attitude: She can wait, she is patient, likes intrigues and has no scrupels. She is the devil in disguise and she's good at being it. Kreia would be my favourite empress of the Galaxy. Interesting that I have listed three women in my most-liked characters. Is it because I am a guy? I don't think so. Despite Atton, all other NPCs don't have an interesting background - surely considering that my definition of "interesting" is quite diverging from the common sense. Atton would be fourth, by the way. And now my three most disliked NPCs in TSL: 3rd: G0-T0 His background is partially interesting, the voice-acting in the german version is superior...but I just dont like his neutral attitude. If I were in the situation G0-T0 is, I would have joined the side that is about to win the war. But being neutral? Boooooooring! 2nd: Bao-Dur Well, acutally I like Remote. But Bao-Dur? Filled with a guilty conscience, I don't like that. He killed in the Mandalorian Wars - so what? No need to feel guilty for that, I think. He also is too calm, to peaceful to be a warrior. Not strong enough and with an inferior mind. 1st: Visas Marr As I mentioned above when dealing with Handmaiden/Brianna and as I mentioned in other threads, I don't like that "I-will-sacrifice-my-life-for-yours"-attitude. Imagine real-life: It's just too...easy and at a certain point boring to have a woman like her. No, thanks. And I disliked especially that you almost instantly gain full influence on her. Dear god, I could have done what I want she would have been following me...I pray to the almighty George Lucas she will not come back in KotOR III. Even as a lighsider I always sacrificed her in the battle with Nihilius and I never had her with me on other planets. This whining attitude. GOD, how I hate her! -
I personally missed the option "Let him do community service in the Disciples bedroom. Helluva punishment that would be" :D

Is Darth Nihilus Dead-eye Duncan?
Belisar replied to psycho_leo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey, I personally LOVE your theory even if it isn't very realistic. I'd like to have a reunion with Deadeye in KotOR III - and a fighting arena like that on taris on every planet. Would be nice. -
Well, I did not notice this thread earlier, but I found an amazing german review of the game at DLH.net. It's out since three or four weeks now. DLH.net
-
I agree, I too can't reach lucasarts.com since nearly two weeks now. And I did nothing, I did not even post anything. Maybe I checked too often for updates of KotOR before I decided to check Obsidian's Website is much better?^^ And yes, starwars.com is down, too. Strange!

Things you wish a KOTOR2 character would say......
Belisar replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't know if you know this song, but I'd like that: HK-47 "Daddy, can I go out and kill tonight? I feel - I feel like taking a life" -
Which KotOR character would you be?
Belisar replied to Roger the Sith's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, wrong sex but almost 100% Kreia...I like her way of thinking and manipulating things, that's very close to my personality. But I'd like to keep my hand because I am a left-hander.^^ -
Which was the greatest war ever?
Belisar replied to stormcloud777's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
In fact, Thrawn did not lose neither the Sluis Van Battle (no imperial Ship was lost, the whole republic fleet was smattert even though he could not conquer it) nor the Bilbringi battle. As I said in the other thread some minutes ago, it was the betrayal of the noghri scum. If Thrawn would not have been assasinated, the Empire would have won the battle. About Revans Skill (and I consider all the Jedi in KotOR overpowered compared to those of the novels) in battle we could discuss endlessly also concerning if the force does influence your mind skills or not. But I dont think we could come to an agreement concerning this one Finally if I have to chose one of the "big" battles, I would choose Clone Wars because I am no friend of jedi vs. sith wars...I consider them boring. But thats just my opinion, the force belongs to the sw universe -
Definitely Thrawn. And Thrawn died at Bilbringi because of betrayal of the Noghri scum! No one could ever have stopped him! And he didn't even have the force.

Which was the greatest war ever?
Belisar replied to stormcloud777's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hah, never. And please take into consideration that Thrawn did not have the advantage of the force. In predicting the strategy of the enemy and winning battles without any chance, Thrawn is the best tactician ever. Do you remember how he took out a whole imperial Fleet with his few inferior chiss ships? Or the very first battle in Heir to the Empire when the Chimaera takes out that elomin task force? Revan could never beat Thrawn with an equally numbered fleet, even with the force! -
Star Wars fantasies - Revised
Belisar replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Handmaiden for sure. I hate this "New Jedi Knight" stuff and I especially hate the solo snotty-noses! No matter how sexy Jaina might be. ------------------------ And stop these "You guys get a life" talking. I mean, we all know we are phantasising...but nevertheless it's interesting, isn't it? -
Which was the greatest war ever?
Belisar replied to stormcloud777's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe it was but it was the war which was tactically the most interesting...and I consider it best because there is not as much jedi stuff in it as in all the other wars. Sure, jedi belong to the universe but I personally like wars without them. Thrawn would've ruled them all! -
Yeah, I want him in real life too...think of the possibilities! For sure I would use him as furniture sometimes (HK, go get me a beer), but I think he would be satisfied with the quest of having my enemies killed.
-
Well, the association between Nar Shadda and Coruscant is there and it was not my idea, as I mentioned, even in the novels Nar Shadda is called the run-down version of Coruscant. Sure, Coruscant may be slightly brighter but I think if they want to implement Coruscant (which is quite unlikely) they would use the same basic layout, yes. But as I mentioned, I really want to see Dathomir or Mykr; those Planets would be very interesting to deal with. A pity no chiss except Thrawn ever appeared outside the unknown regions, I would have liked to see them.

New Republic versus Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. (Does that count to Star Wars?) -
Well, I have some other ideas of whom I'd like to kill (not all of them my NPCs) - strangle Chodo Habat with some ithorian plants for this lousy "healing" of my wound in the Force - making Lt. Dol Grenn drink the best and most exquisite fuel of Voggas' for not thanking me for the supply of new fuel - electrocute the Twi'lek harbor master of Vogga (forgot his name) for not letting me complete the "energy lack" quest - drown the developers of Obsidian in a huge sea of grey color for the worst design of Nar Shadda I've ever seen - let Darth Nihilus swallow his darn mask for being so weak - binding Bao-Dur to the hull of the Ebon Hawk and jumping into hyperspace for not being turnable into a Jedi through conversation (you must have this annoying whiner in your party damn how I hate it) - annoy G0T0 so much that he detonates his proton core...even if I die, it's worth it! By the way, I am a lightsider^^ P.S. No one should dare to wanna kill HK-47!

Who's the funniest KOTOR character ever?
Belisar replied to Sophy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What a question. There is only one possible answer: Our beloved assasination droid itself - HK-47! -

Belisar replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bridge of the Ravager: Darth Nihilus: "Hsfblnaaaaahrghagfhaaaa blanaaaaaaaaaahwaaaassseaah mnaahahahaaadaaradd." Atton: "Damn, Nihilus old boy, didn't I tell you not to drink the last five tarisian beers?" Darth Nihilus takes off his mask Atton: "Whoa! This is the most disgusting hangover I've ever seen. Go get you an aspirin." Darth Nihilus walks off. ----------------------- Exile: "Is there any reason I have to fight without clothes?" Handmaiden: "Yeah, I've always wanted to see your tight, musculous body." Exile: [dryly] "At least, an honest answer." (I've always expected that explanation^^) ----------------------- Exile: "Is there a way to locate these HK-50 units with this sonic sensor (damn, I don't know the expression in English)?" HK-47: "Statement: Sure. I can make a call on them if you want to, master." Exile: "Do it." HK-47: "Statement: Deet. Deet. Deet. The service you are calling is temporarily unavailable." HK-47: "Conclusion: Seems as if Obsidian has to complete the triggers first." Exile: "Damn thing. Let's go and kill some organic meatbags instead." ----------------------- (May only be understood by Germans, don't know if the joke is common in English) Visas (to exile): "Master, I love you more than everything. From the moment on..." Exile interrupts her Exile: "Wayne." Yeah I always wanted to tell her...I HATE Visas. ------------------------ I hope you enjoy these Ideas -
I don't get it...why could you like Nar Shadda when you compare it to the descritions of the vertical city in all the novels, comics and so on? I was disgusted! Nar Shadda is the planet I hate the most. It was all-in-all grey, lifeless (yes, it may fit to Nar Shaddas backstory but think of the Han Solo-Trilogy. The planet is often described as a "run-down version of Coruscant"...oh my god I hope they don't try to realize Coruscant with that lovelessness. And the quests...yeah, they are so great that you even can not finish them^^. Damn, I hate Nar Shadda. The planet of my choice is Dantooine, especially in KotOR I it was lively, interesting with good quests and the chrystal cavern. In part II it's not as good as it was in I, but still good enough to beat the other planets, because there were too many interesting quests plus the chrystal cavern. (I would have enjoyed to find more than only one cavern, in KotOR I I hoped to find a cavern on every planet^^)
-
Another thing came to my mind as I played KotOR II yesterday (LS) and set all the options to "high" including 8x Antialiasing and so on. I accidently looked at Mira...looked again...and then I realized something. I don't know if someone has mentioned it yet, but to me, Mira looks as I always imagined Mara Jade to look before I found some artworks on her which I really found disappointing. What do you think?

Thanks for the help, works fine now. I agree that it shouldn't be that difficult to get the triggers back so that you can play the factory. As I assume, there are the following missing triggers in the factory levels: -> the door to the factory on Telos military base does not open, as we all know -> the two pressure doors left and right side of the turbolift to military base should open when you deactivate the reactor and open the security doors but they don't, for this you can't access the level 2, as you all know -> the "plant explosives on terminal"-trigger for both the HK-50 and HK-51 construction consoles don't work, as a matter of fact you dont get the final cutscene i suppose to be there after you destroyed the both consoles. -> the trigger for the doors mentioned above does not function too if you try to gain access from level two to level one either. This are the only real necessary triggers for the factory itself I encountered. For sure, there must be a trigger to gain the knowledge that this facotry is on telos, i consider this to happen on the second or third planet you visit, no matter which planets you choose. But I strongly assume that it is necessary to have Go-To aboard the Ebon Hawk to let this happen. An great idea to realize this would be after T3 has destroyed the three HK-50s and finds in their cores the coordinates so you could visit the factory right after destroying Gotos Yacht. What do you think of my ideas? I must confess I hope that these only little changes that must be done will come with the patch. The droid planet itself is something we will never get to see, neither in a Patch nor in KotOR III!
