  1. Yes. So now we know what happens to Hanharr, but we have to wonder about what happens to Mira once she beats him. Where
  2. Eh ?? No, they cut that storyline and went for a different one... Just because you think that this would've been a better one, doesn't mean that the story was SUPPOSED to unfold as you wrote. The Cut part was an Alternative, which was not used... That's all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The cut content made sense and what they used, well, doesn
  3. Take a ticket and get in line? Please, there are a bunch of topics concerning the patch. It ain't here and swearing won't change a thing you know... (Kisses the Nvidia card that even works with my wonky computer.) And has it ever occured to you that developers and such have lives as well? Families perhaps? They do get hungry and thirsty and need ye occasional sleep. And if you insist on damning Lucas Arts, you shouldn't go and watch Episode Three either... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Complaining won
  4. John Morgan said that they have problems with the patch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did Johnny tell what the problem is? How come you're the only one that knows about it? I don't think this patch is coming any time soon. That assuming it will come at all. I've heard people say that the problem is that they want a patch that fixes everything. Well, there's no such thing. There will always be a new and unexpected bug. I just wish they would release whatever patch they have, as long as it fixes something and doesn't screw anything else up in the game. That would put everyone at ease. I mean I am sitting here without being able to play the game properly and I don't know if there will ever be a patch. If they have released something, even if it didn't solve my problem I would at least know they're working on it. I that would't be because you or someone at OE or LA told me, but because they would prove they're working on it.
  5. Do you really believe it? OMG you're serious? It's more likely for them to release KoTOR 3 (wich I am not gona buy) than a patch.
  6. It sort of happenned to me. The loading screens take about 10 minutes andI can't make quiksaves. I can only rely on autosaves. <_< But unlike you I was actually able to play trough the whole game once without finding any glitches whatsoever. I was ready to play again and BAM! Surprise! I am f****d. I reinstalled the game and it still doesn't work. Guess what LA has to say about my problem? You should check your specs. IDIOTS, I PLAYED THE FREACKING GAME WITH NO PROBLEMS ONCE!!!!! How come all of the sudden my system is not enough anymore?! I am never buying anything from Obsidian or Lucas Arts ever again.
  7. Yeah, THANK GOD FOR BIOWARE!! Now those people can make games! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DAMN OBSIDIAN!!!!! DAMN LUCAS ARTS!!!!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!! Long live Bioware.
  8. No but since it travels in vacuum it's supposed to be closed, without any openings you could fall through. Unless she meant to get out and oppened a door. In that case it does't make any sense because she doesn't make herself useful on Malachor. And why didn't anyone else got out of the ship too? "Why did Kreia go trough the trouble of raising Hanharr again just to kill Mira if she does not get on her way any more than any other character?" - As a test for Mira. as for a reason for this... Never came up in the game. "why did she heal Tobin as well?" - So that he could be in the Ravager and blow it up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tobin didn't blow up the Ravager. The mandalorians did. Once set up the proton charges, the mandalorians blow the ship to hell. As a matter of fact his whole conversation on the ravager makes no sense whatsoever. I mean he doesn't say anything about stopping you when you tell him you're gonna kill Nihilus. He just says he is too powerful and then you say it's time to end it and you fight. It is a totally meaningless fight, but still he puts up a better fight than Daed-eye Nihilus.
  9. Depends on how you played the game. If you made Mira into a Jedi Sentinel, and maxed out the Force Speed tree, and give her a lightsaber with decent upgrades (by that time, someone should have had enough skill to build the best upgrades), she'll mow down that walking carpet. I thought that the first fight between Mira and Hanharr, as well as the battles after that, were the most difficult, though, when doing Nar Shaada first, since you don't have too many choice items at that time. At this stage, Hanharr is easily the stronger, and if he weren't so dumb as to blunder into the mines, it would be even more difficult. I used up all of my Mandalorian Melee shields after fighting Hanharr, the Kath Hounds, and the Ubese, who were able to sense Mira, even in Stealth Mode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I always play Nar Shaada right after Telos and Hanhrarr never got to touch me. The first time I ever fought him themines did the job for me and I didn't fire my blaster once. The second time the mines didn't take care of him, but running around the arena and using rapid shot a few time did the trick. About the second fight, I never really gave a decent lighsabre ( I always have her using blasters). She just keeps one for the case she needs it. So in Malachor, it's just force speed and shooting from a safe distance. " Only in the end of the fight I engage melee (It takes too long and I get bored). :D
  10. After you reach the dephts of Malachor, she falls out of the Ebon Hawk (How the hell does one fall out of a space ship. It's not a bike for heaven's sake!) and meets Hanharr. She (as the player) fighs in again and is much tougher than he was on Naar Shada but after the fight she tells him she can't waste any more time and leaves (if you spare the wookie). I got the impression that she would go and help the exile, but she just vanishes from the game. Was she supposed to do something else and it got cut like so many other things? (Damm LA for rushing the game!) Or it's just wierd? I wanna know WTF happened to her on Malachor (not the crap Kreia says about her dying in another planet). Also, that raises another question... Why did Kreia go trough the trouble of raising Hanharr again just to kill Mira if she does not get on her way any more than any other character? By the way, why did she heal Tobin as well? I don't think the second appearance of any of those two really adds something to he plot. What do you guys think? Can anyone answer those questions?
  11. Actually, I tought the second fight between Mir and Hanharr was better than the first. He is much tougher in Malachor V.
  12. There isn't a single battle in KoTOR 2 that can match the one in the Star Forge. The enemies just keep coming at you, wave after wave. You can't catch your breath and you can take different party configurations, wich means you can always try different strategies. I usually use either Jolee and Juhani (for my very own Jedi strike team) or Jolee and Carth (with Calo Nord's blaters). This fight is as hard as it gets, and then if you go darkside with Bastila you get to fight Malak's three new apprentices. Also, the final solo battle against Malak is way harder then the ones against Sion or Kreia. Heck, Malak would kick both their asses all the way to Malachor!
  13. Yes he is. But the thing is Dead-eye Duncan was supposed to be an easy fight. I mean, you even got to see a cutscene of him dropping his blaster while fighting Gerlon Two-fingers (How did Bioware come up with those names? ) and Dead-eye Nihilus was supposed to be a Bad-*** Sith Lord Mother F*****. Which makes me think that maybe Obsidian should consider remaking the cutscene where Nihilus confronts Kreia and make him drop his saber. Now that would prepare you for the "big fight" in the Ravager.
  14. How cool would that be?! (w00t) I wonder whether Dead eye Nihilus could beat Trask Sion or not...
  15. I am not sure if that is the case, but the first time I played I had the same trouble, except I couldn't change saber forms for my character. Then I found it out... Once you change the form you have to click on it, otherwise it will revert back. "
  16. Giant Storm Beast you say? Oh yes, I recall it. Never had any trouble with it. Last time I played, I was a LS sentinel/ jedi master (L 23). I used force enlightment, master battle meditation and master flurry and I also had the battle precognition power from the handmaiden (add the wisdon modfier to the defense). I was using two lightsabers. After the boosts I had 54 defense and 42/38 to attack (don't remember the damage tough). It took me 2 rounds and less than 10 seconds to beat him down. He attacked me once, and missed. So I didn't take a single hit. I remeber watching the cutscene and thinking that there was an angry giant beast running in my direction. It instantly took me back to the Rakatan planet in Kotor 1 when you had to fight a lot of rancor beasts (now, that was an angry beast!). Soon I was standing over it's corpse and thinking: Is that it? The storm beast is very well done (the design I mean), but like all combat in this game, the fight is just crap! Kotor 2 has many new features that are very good, like the prestige classes, new force powers and 2 weapon configurations (so you can switch really fast between two weapons), but all the combat is disappointing. The dark jedi and the sith lords (except for kreia) never even bothered to use the force against me. They just ran to with the lightsabers, ready to be butchered.
  17. I know it's not really possible, but I foind it amusing anyway. And if I didn't have th free time I wouldn't be posting here, would I?
  18. I mean, it is a possibility... Imagine this: Taris is falling apart under the Sith bombardment and the mighty dead-eye Duncan manages to escape the planet. He manages to steal a ship and runs for it, all the fire is concentrating on Taris and the escaping Ebon Hawk and no one notices the clumsy dead-eye making his way out. (Dialog between Malak and Admiral Karath) SAUL KARATH: Lord Malak, there is another ship escaping the planet. MALAK: Look at the way it flies admiral. The pilot is obviously drunk, even if it manages to get somewhere, it would never land in one piece. Its not worth may ammo. Leave it be. Fire at the other ship that is destroying all of our fighters! (Or maybe he just survived, like Calo Nord, but it wouldn't be as funny or incredible). Trying to make his way to a safe place, like Tatooine or Dantooine, he, being the incredibly cordinate pilot that he is, ends up on Malachor V, right in front of the Sith Academy, and crashing on the exact spot where Sion was calmly meditating. Kreia was astonished by the way Duncan not only found his way to Malachor and utterly disfigured her prime apprentice and she decides that is has got to be the force! Then she takes him as her apprentice. KREIA: I want to train you on the ways of the force. Would you like that? DUNCAN: Would that make me touhgher (than a Gizka at least)? KREIA: (What's it that he is thinking? Something about a Gizka...) Yes. It would make you more powerful than you ever dreamed possible. DUNCAN: Then yes. I want to be more powerful! KREIA: That sttles it then... What's your name again? DUNCAN: People call me Dead-eye Duncan. The greatest of Taris' duelists. KREIA: Why would people call you Dead-eye? DUNCAN: Well, because I fight like I am... uh...eh... I don't know exactly. People are stupidy. KREIA: Yes, well, I can't call you Darth Dead-eye. That won't scare anyone, and also it wouldn't make any sense (unless I rip out one of your eyes...). I know, let's call you Darth Nihilus from now on. That will scare everyone. That would explain a lot wouldn't it? I mean he has that scary mask, everyone thinks he is a major bad-ass. Even he starts believing it after some time. And then he meets the exile in the Ravager. He is thinking no more dead-eye. I am no longer the worst duelist of the universe. Now I am a ubber powerful Sith Lord. No one is ever gonna laugh at me. HAHAHAHA! The fight stars, and two hits latter... DEAD-EYE NIHILUS: Oh crap! I can hear the laughing again... It's all coming back to me. I can't take it anymore! (and he dies) What do you guys think of my theory?
  19. I have an Athlon 1.1, with 256 MB RAM and my video board is a G-Force 2 - 64 MB. I know those are far from ideal stats, but they meet game requirements. I bought the game two weeks ago and I started playing lightside guardian. The game was running fine, I mean, I did experienced minor random crashes, but that was expected and it didn't really bother me. I finished the game and tought it was great. Anyway, everything was fine until I decided to play through again, this time as darkside. I started the game normally and it was running fine, like the first time. I was still on Peragus, on the dormitories when I had to stop playing, so I made a save and quit. Later, when I was able to continue, I started the game again and loaded my last save. That's when things started to go bad, real bad. I loaded the last save and left the room. I was out for five minutes and when I got back I thought ten game would be on already. Much to my surprise, I found myself still on the load screen. The progress bar was still in the first quarter and it just would not move. I thought it was a normal crash, so I restarted and tried again. I did that five times (very persistent) before I was convinced it wasn't just a crash. I thought that maybe the save file was corrupted, so I tried again. The game started runningand I decided to test, so I made a quiksave, wich took me about six minutes (not quik at all ) and then I tried to load it. CRASH!!!!!!. So, I ran scandisk and the antivirus. Found nothing. Reinstalled the game. Idiotically, I thought my problems would be solved by now, but nooooo!!! The same thing happened. I can start the game, I can play the game, but I can't load a freaking save. As the game a long one, and as I can't play all day long, it's kind of impossible for me to finish it. So, if someone has any clue as how to fix it, please tell me. I am a desperate man.
