consoles are great - much greater range of games than pc and for around teh first 18 months of its product life cycle the games on a console ill look better than on a pc.

they said it would be small, the design is pretty odd - in its stand it looks like a drowning ps2. Will have more pointless observations once specs and news of games are released :D Fingers crossed that ninty have a good line up of games ready to go at launch!

As with all new consoles the first generation of games will most probably not even utilise the full potential of the machines as devs get to grips with the new hardware. It would be cool if the controllers came with docking ports to charge when not using them. it has an hdmi output and supports bluray so the games should be in hi def. Which is excellent, as i'm fed up of playing console games on big tvs just for it to look fuzzy.

Vader being revealed as luke's father is a classic movie moment and really adds depth to the story! Leia being luke's sister - meh <_< .It wasnt developed enough The payoff is well done but the exposition of it was terrible. I wouldnt touch ESB. Thats done perfectly IMO. In Rotj id take out any singing and change the ewoks into something less cute. In a new hope i would just remove all the cheesy whining lines (mostly from luke). And possibly redo the Vader vs obi scene to make it seem like vader has a real beef with kenobi as opposed to just a mild irritation. The prequels would need an overhaul - but its too much to go into.

Brushed aluminium will sell, all av equipment seems to be in that colour area nowadays so ppl will want to but somehting that matches. this isnt a great pic but you can see some of the ports -have fun trying to guess what they are!!!

I've read the book too and the "hurt" bit sounds pretty gruesome. :ph34r: Screaming fanboys make it a good experience IMO - its really adds to the atmosphere. In london yesterday that had teh official british premiere and they really pulled out all the stops promoting it - with a stromtrooper parade the royal philharmoic orchestra performing teh soundtracks and even GL popping up throughout the day to talk to fans.

ninty didnt win the last round cos it wasnt a dvd player and it had no backwards compatibility. The new xbox and ps3 will be examples of convergence technology as regards to media entertainment. Ninty has said their next console will focus purely on gaming. If this is true then i think they will be closed off to a large portion of the market.

if its a solid projectile they would use the force to push it away. like waht Ted did in the matrix.
