As for the NO it was the delivery and sound of it that was silly after all luke says it in the same tone in ESB but it sounds a lot better. Maybe JEJ should have made his voice sound more hoarse or something. I would have liked to see him picking up something and throwing it down a chute like he did to teh emperor in RoTJ and the collapsing.

yeah i expected more out of greivous. He was a much better villain in the clone wars cartoon. I guess any more development might have overshadowed the real villain of teh piece.

There are various ways of playing this game and i feel its a shame if you cant detach yourself enough to play chracters that are not like your real life persona. You are really missing out. Be bad , be really bad if for no ther reason than to see what it is like.

Yes i agree he very much comes into his own in this film. That confident pose on the ramp of the ship and his following dialogue with anakin was electrifying! That whole duel/immolation scene was perfect IMO part of me was hoping for just a little remorse for anakin - but the straight out rage was shocking (in a good way) I'm almost disappointed he isnt a little more peeved at Obi-Wan when they meet again (but i guess that cant be helped - unles GL tinkers with it even more ) One of my other favourite scenes was the betrayal of the Jedi along with the score it really conveyed a sense of sadness - I hope they include some more of the Jedi mastres dying in the DVD.

btw has anyone watched A New Hope asap after watching ep 3? IMO it added a lot more gravitas to some of the scenes knowing the back story. I definitely enjoyed watching it again and for me that is saying something as it is my joint least favourite of the entire sextet.

I have a new idea for an EU offshoot! why not develop the backstory of the gonk droids.. i have always found them to be a fascinating and mysterious type of droid. What would be awesome is if there was a gonk planet with a history and a gonk culture. what would be super awesome is if the gonks design was used to creat an army of droids and then this was worked into the films... oh dear i guess its a little late for that :">

As long as books and newspapers are printed in standard english then it wont change... much. To be honest i cant see spoken standard english changing much either (i have yet to hear a news broadcast or documentary performed entirely in vernacular) What is worrying to me is when kids are completely unable to express themselves in formal written english but i suppose that so long as employers and examiners insist on a minimum level of english then it wont be a major problem... i hope.

But the thing is with the Mace v Palps duel is that they are a match for the first part until Palps loses his saber From then on i think it is all an act when palps starts cowering - he senses anakin's arrival and then plays the role of a weak old man so as to appear vulnerable in contrast to the bullying figure of Mace.

I always wondered why nothing is mentioned about Luke and leia's mother in the OT. A question for the EU mavens: Do luke and leia ever find out anything about their padme? Or is that a story yet to be written?
