YES! Now, that should shut the people up who claim that Turco cna't play in the playoffs. Meh. I cam only dream it would. I really hate it when people claim x player cna't perfom in the playoffs. That's just plain balony. Sometimes, these just don't work out. Gah.

Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer

"and do not speak ill of their products you can get away with a fair amount for the most part." Please. people criticze BIO products ALL THE TIME on their forums without being banned or riprimanded. Anyways, the main issue, I agree with. People should let go of their beloved characters. Minsc was rel;evant 7 years ago. I can understand NWN1/NWN2 characters or core FR characters (ie. Tszam - likely spelled it wrong heh -, forgot how)might make a cameo or at least be mentioned since Thay is his turf); but otherwise it should be Obsidian created characetrs either leftbovers from the OC or new ones for the expansion. We agree on that. -

"Toxicware" Bitter much? L0L! As for the rights to the characters, I think it might be Atari who does though your scenario is posisble. It coudl also clear up the why there hasn't been a BG3 yet as BIO probably keeps telling Atari no (if what you say is fact). Heh. I do agree that obsidian shoudl stick with their own npcs or at minimum, NWN1 npcs. No need to drga npcs from otehr games espicially one of BIO's most overrated ones. R00fles! -
Don't pick Shanahan! he's nto even a top 10 Rqnger! R00fles! He wa sonly worthy of his paycheck for the firts 20 games. He's been a bust sINCE. The guy was a friggin' pathetic minus. I liked him better as a non Ranger!!!

I8 would love it if that was in game footage; but it likely isn't. R00fles!

Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer

"Old gen = no" Yes, they did. Consoles have had room for 'freedom of movement' for a rather long time. It's a design choice pure, and simple plus market focused. "Such thing as Bao-Dur not being able to wear robes in K2 were because of memory limits of Xbox" Games on old consoles have had robe wearing characters. -

"PC has resources for it." So do consoles. Compact areas vs. open exploration is purely a design chocie of the devlopers. There is, of course, good and bad that comes with either option. I prefer more open exploration (KOTOR series wasn't too bad for this, JE was restricted in terms of where you can go but solid in how to deal with situations, NWN2 was inbetween). Problem with the expansion is there likely won't be too much freedom of movement at leats not as much people want here. It's 15 hours long, and it's an expansion so they'll likely concentrate on doing things that most everyone will see; not optional stuff (though I'm sure they'll be some). Sand wins; but I doubt Obsidian will go that route. They seem to prefer the 'munchkiny' way in that regard. It should one's power to enfuse the item with the magic. That's how D&D crafting is supposed to work. Though crafting in NWN2 OC was fun for what it was though. -
"BG2's is far better looking graphics" No. " and the story was far more interesting compared to NWN. " Yes. "PoR 2 was better than NWN" Please. Let's be serious now. I can believe, and udnerstand someone liking KOTOR more than NWN; but let's get real. POR2 isn't even better than the poo that comes out of our butts.
-
"Oh and BTW, KOTOR > NWN." This alone nullifies your post. P.S. I agree that the Detsher thing could have been handled better though.

Obviously, then, the monsters in POR were poorly balanced and made too easy then if you felt like a 'god' at level 8. R00fles! L0L -
Bethesda buys the Fallout IP from Interplay
Volourn replied to aVENGER's topic in Computer and Console
Almost zero. And, if they do, they'd have complete control which means you'll still be seeing a hevaily influenced Bethesda FO3 anyways. -
Aribeth is awesome. One of the best npcs ever. "Then when her precious lover dies because he was a huge traitor that the town hated for conspiring to the mass homicide of his own people" Except, he never conspired to do any such thing. He was duped just like the rest of the town including His Almighty Lordship. And, anyone who thinks BG2's graphics are better than NWN's is just wrong as well. Also: NWN > KOTOR "but I'd rank them as equal or better than Bioware's support. " Come back in 4+ years when Obsiodian is still supporting NWN2 then you might have a case. Sytill, that's one of things I'm happy about with obsidian, and NWN2. They're supporting it more than I thought they would... Not to mention, you say obsidian is a sgood or better yet you seem add this which kinda contradicts what you say: "One thing Bioware definitely did better though, was they had their Neverwinter Wednesdays, when they'd highlight new community stuff and the sort every week. I think that kind of stuff goes a long, long way in terms of keeping the public engaged and interested." "the two expansions were a lot better" L0L You thoUGht SOU was better. HAHA! That's funny. SOU is BIO's worst RPG OC to date. Haha.

Sure, it does. The reality, however, is people are so worried about what others do they don't worry enough about themselves.

Eh? You started it. I just replied.

RANGERS WIN!!! RANGERS WIN!!! RANGERS WIN!!!

Sure, i did. And, I ignored it 'cause it was stupid. I remember having debates about it in Ethics class. The bottom line is if someone using an athlete as a moral role model (as opposed to a more legit athletic role model); it's just beyond silly and a failing amongst parents, teachers, and other authorities who ar esupposed to set the exmaple for kiddies. They're professional athletes whose job is to play sports and entertain the masses. That's it.

"NWN2 ruled over NWN easily. " No. I replayed thye NWN OC three times. I have only played NWN2 OC once though I'm gonna try to get through itg once mroe to get my characetr ready for the expansion. Also, 5 months or so after NWN's release, i had already played the game in some fashion for hundreds of hours. i don't think I've reached 100 hours with NWN2 and that includes 50 or so hours of the OC, time trying to replay it, follinga round with modding,a nd trying (but fialing) to find good user made modules and PWs... In conclusion, NWN1 > NWN2 though NWN2 gives a valiant effort 'cause at least the OC itself was fun enough to finish. That beats many games.

"I know you are full of great ideas. " Everyone is full of greta ideas. Great ideas are the easy part. Implementing them, and finishing the mod/game is the challenging part. I've alreayd made a lot of 'cool' games in my head. i've even gotten deep into them. have I yet to finish any? Nope.

It's simple. They can get more money from the company then from the individual. And, the company will likely wnat to settle to limit the 'bad publicity'. I'm with Sand. Unles sit cna be proven that the company ordered him to do this; they shouldn't be liable. Period. -
Except the fact ther eis no real evidence that shows incidents like these actually hurt the NFL in terms of popularity, financess, and success. It be more understandable if stuff like this was actually hurting the NFL bottom line; but it isn't. Seriously, is there anyone who likes the NFL who would stop watching the NFl simply because Jones is bad guy? No, very doubtful. Maybe a very, very small number. Also, accoridng to Hurlshot, it *is* about morality.

"Up until then it was all very character-driven," O RLY? You musta played a different game. The NWN2 OC I played had the quest 'go seek out the sword shard, mah boy, go seek out the sword shard!" Sword shards are characetrs now? WOWSERS! -

I wouldn't be surprised if the early work was done even before the game was released. IIRC, Mr. U even said as much before that they had 'ideas' alreayd in place for an expansion. The ahrd work likely began quickly after they all came back from NWN2 is released celebration break' develoeprs usually get.
