  1. Normally I would agree, thing is the patch/files are at Lucasarts at this point, so there really isn't much the devs can do at this point. They probably know about a much as we do as to the timing of the release. They already had said they were done with thier part. But using the previous timetable, expect a long "soon" period.
  2. The only way first person could be used in KotOR is to mold the next game similar to TES III: Morrowind(or TES IV: Oblivion), but I think it would be a bad move. Morrowind's combat sucked. Anyways I like the current system but agree it needs a major overhaul. I just feel first person is a poor "camera" for an RPG. For the record JA & JO are great titles in their genre.
  3. Just a quick note on the whole issue about using Xbox Live to fix bugs. Yes, Xbox Live CAN be used to fix/patch a game. Halo 2 is an example as well as the more recently released Wrestlemania 21. The game shipped with a bug that wouldn't allow players to get online, however a fix/patch was just released. In the world of Xbox live a patch is also known as an auto-update. Now can TSL be "auto-updated?" At this point the answer is NO. Because like so many others have stated, it doesn't have Live support. Sorry.
  4. Duel wield: Purple & Green You forget Plo Koon? At one point he was to have a yellow lightsaber.
  5. Yeah her eyes were nifty. Every once in awhile during dialogue sequences you could see her eyes too. Shame see never really removed the hood...unless I missed something.
  6. Copied & pasted for those of us that don't follow links. Basically it's what I mentioned at a bit ago. They were done within a few days and off to LA it went.
  7. Which is, in a round about way, what I tried to say. That cat looks....disturbed. I've seen a kitty almost as shaved as that one, but....darn that is just not right.
  8. Granted the 2nd patch should be here by now or "soon"(as previously stated). But like we have seen/heard/read previously it may very well already be out of Obsidian's hands and already in Lucasarts', which means a few days could be a long wait. I really wish it could be as simple Sarin posted and just let us download a .zip file or somthing, but there are procedures that have to be followed. Which sucks but hey, it's buisness. I've been wanting to play the game again for quite some time now, but I kept myself occupied before and I can again. Too funny!
  9. Thrawn trilogy easily. It introduced one of my favorite SW characters...Mara Jade. I mean what can I say about her. Plus Thrawn was such a great character to read as well. A thinking villian, no "powers" just his mind...similar to one of the best villians in recent years, Scorpius(Farscape). Every move calculated, every enemy and outcome thought out, well save one for Thrawn(damn that Noghri). On top of them it had some great battles on land and in space.
  10. A prequal would be nice, but not at this point. With so many questions hanging most, myself included, would prefer a conclusion. We did however see this happen in the gaming world just last year with Metal Gear Solid 3, and it seemed to work well, so who knows. Great ideas though.
  11. Just a quick little bit of info on hearing "real" Mandalorian language... Listen to Republic Commando's soundtrack, it's written in Mandalorian. It would've been nify to hear some Mandalorians speaking thier language, but it's nothing too important within the games...unless it was required, like Sasha.
  12. To follow the common flow...Yes I too found the Jedi theme to be the best piece, followed up by the Sith Lords theme. I also liked the re-use of the Sith theme from KotOR I, although placed a bit wrong(my opinion). Combat music is combat music, after awhile they all sound alike. However, the final showdown music was a big letdown. Malak's final battle music was awesome, right up there with Bastila's theme. Overall an equal to the first, but both still feel a bit out of place from Star Wars... meaning not enough use of certain themes, especially the Force theme which appeared to play when you gain lightside points and traveling from Onderon to Dxun.
  13. Have almost all the DVD/VHS incarnations of the trilogy, read most of the EU(mostly the books after RotJ), a ton of SW toys...even Star Wars Legos!! Dressed up as SW characters...sort of. My wife and I did go to LA to see Episode I in Mann's Chinese Theater on opening night, so at least I'm not the only nerd. I have a lot of SW games, most because they are Star Wars, but there are plenty I skipped out on because they were horrid. Just wished I knew how bad Obi-Wan was before I got it, man that game sucked. KotOR I & II and Republic Commando stand as some of the best SW games to date. So yeah I'm a nerd...and damn proud of it.
  14. Same here. Great title, even with the issues. I'm just waiting to replay it at this point, and waiting for the patch gives me an excuse to play something else. I feel for those who can't play the game, for in my opinion it really was an excellent follow-up to the first KotOR. Too funny.
