Darkside - force choking Disciple?
FaramirK replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Aimo did a pretty good job of re-making Disciple into a more likeable character, but even she gives him the rough end in her art... Oh well, some charcaters are just doomed to live tragic lives. Pitting him against Atton was sort of like throwing a kitten to the wolves... -
TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
FaramirK replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
They should be safe. Since, they aren't selling and its a stand-alone mod, meaning that its the only thing that it is. Its not an entirely new game for download. Being that Lucasarts encourages mods and this will only help them make money off the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good good. -
Wasn't there a new class even bigger than the Super-Star Destroyer in the EU called the Eclipse, or something? Looked like a battleship...that mother****** was awesome.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
FaramirK replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Is this the first time in gaming history that the fan community has resurrected a game? Are the people doing this safe from lawyers as long as they don't sell the mod? I'm just curious...mostly because where I'm from, modding is a flourishing art, protected from laws and regulations by an impenetrible layer of corruption. -
I assume that Revan was probably in his early-mid 30's. The Exile was probably the same age.

Help! (stuck with Russian version)
FaramirK replied to damedaman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Fixed it for the Other World (US) You can still use you're version for Russia though <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't rank them in the same category, but for the post idea... -
Help! (stuck with Russian version)
FaramirK replied to damedaman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He's an over-ambitious would-be dictator who recently failed to set up a puppet government in the Ukraine by rigging elections, has increased spending on developing new WMD, and is trying to keep America off his case by brutally slaughtering the Chechens in the name of the "war-on-terror". Not his staunchest supporter...I'm ashamed to say I once thought him tha answer to our troubles. -
This is an urban legend. No Inuit dialect has notably more words for snow than English has and, quite arguably, all dialects have fewer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really? I've never heard that before...I don't know either way, but I've heard a lot of people say they had as many as 50 words for it. Any one here know Inuit? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. I bothered to take a course on Inuktitut (Inuit is the name of the people rather than the language). The Wikipedia article on Inuktitut remarks on this myth[/url]. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Every day you learn something new...thanks Yst.

Help! (stuck with Russian version)

I will be happier when Putin is merely a name for the history books... -
The very same. Have you seen Enemy at the Gates? Apparently we all have english accents...

Help! (stuck with Russian version)
FaramirK replied to damedaman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe I can be of assistance... 1) There IS a Russian version of KOTOR and KOTOR 2 2) It is the product of software piracy 3) Latvia & others are not quite "up to scratch" yet legally, most of the software there is sold in open air markets for $2-$15. 4) Don't buy anything software related from a source that even smells Russian unless a) You don't mind if it turns out to be illegal b) You already own a legal copy, and want to have it in another language. Thats what I did with NWN... -
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, lets say anything west of Volgograd...for example And Darth Coran, this is for your comment

My fantasy is better (the more the merrier ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, at least you aim high... Are all western men this starved for sex ?

How do you know Metadigital isn't a woman? :D

Strangely enough, I think that's one of the things I like about guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then, the world is your oyster! You must be spoiled for choice...

Hopefully the procedurally generated content in games like Will Wrights upcoming game Spore, will allow CRPG developers (and anyone else making a 3D game with lot of people in it), to give character models in their games more variety; and allow them to spend more time on major NPCs without having to reuse the civilian_03 model and textures just to finish the game on time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One of my colleagues was trying to create everyone at work as a NWN character for an in-office joke, and he gave up on this one of the ladies, because he just couldn't get her figure just right without seeming cruel...Its so silly when a huge game like KOTOR or Bioware is filled with skinny little waifs...I'm all for more realism. Weighing 90lbs soaking wet is not necessary for being attractive.

I wasn't talking about polygamy. And yes, I'm aware of the recent u-turn in Mormon marriage theology. Even with regulation, Polygamy is not, in my opinion a good idea. But your alittle late and way of topic. Besides, it was more for humors sake. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is a culture (mainly goatherds) on the Himalayan heights where the men (normally brothers) are married to one woman. Resources are scarce, so reproduction takes a rota ... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cultures like the above mentioned usually suffer from a variety of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, like Syphillis. Yet, it continues in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet.

Yeah, thats pretty much how I imagined it too. :D

Are you implying you wouldn't like it if someone (especially someone of the opposite gender) called you "master Jedi"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is why I chuckled.
-
I was amused by her reaction (knowing something of her nature). The double meaning of Mistress made it under the radar. I would poke fun at your defense of your mother-tongue, but I fear we drift of subject...I will merely respond to your comment with the word "Touche".
-
Well, I've no idea what that means, but if it's something negative, I can tell you off proper in French. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Literal Спасиба = Thankyou Болшои = Big Thought-Translation "A thousand thankyous, magnanimous Mistress Jedi..."
-
As WELL as the female version of master. Get your mind out of the gutter. (Oh, who am I to talk... my mind's always in the gutter.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, wait, now I understand. You guys have WAY to many words for concubine...
