  1. playing as DS and approaching hk-47: hk-47: statement: just when i believe my photoreceptors have recorded the last potential aspect of your cruelty to my memory core, you commit a new atrocity that leaves me analyzing its impact for days. hk-47: you are like a delightful random cruelty generator, master, poisoning all you touch with your presence, you are a testament to all organic meatbags everywhere. exile: i am not here to entertain you, droid. hk-47: flattery: it is not mere entertaiment, master. it is art.
  2. i'm wondering if anyone has made it through the game as grey, nor light or dark jedi. when i played some week ago with a character who never really went dark or light, i couldn't train to prestige when i've reached class 15. i continued to class 18 or 19 i think before i started a new character. and i could not trigger kreias speach of more advanced jedi training.
  3. is there going to be a restoration/unlocking of the speeders on onderon and dantooine? just a thing that crossed my mind when i played today...
  4. just a thought: we haven't really met the REAL sith yet in the games. mere followers of an ideal...
  5. it is strange how different it can be between games. look at neverwinter nights, which has now three expansions and a lot of extra material stuffed at their website. but this is maybe because the (damn) fantasy genre is more popular.
  6. (6_2)_8_9_1=13 is supposed to be (6*2)-8+9*1=13 but it doesn't work for me! i've tried it so many times now it has to be a bug. ???
  7. an animated movie/series should work well. should make things much cheaper also, i think? but. somebody write a screen play!
  8. yes. the main reason to get involved with the dirty and fast sports of swoop racing in kotor1, was the outcome of money you'd get from it. in kotor2 you can find mandalorian super suits in a clay jar here and there well worth 5000 credits. i've won all three swoop races in kotor2. i don't mind the changes. but i've also get messages that i crashed and such. probably some kind of memory-bug-thingy. try to reload or go back to earlier save. (if you like swoop-racing, you should try out "beyond good and evil"'s minigame or game sequenses. damn what a rush!)
  9. it's quite obvious how the game will continue. i think. somewhere a new jedi/sith-academy will be build. maybe where atris began her work. the restoration of nuked worlds get many ideas to plots and sidequests. revan's escape to the outer regions could surely be there somewhere in the backround. the main concept with kotor is the consequences of your choices, where kotor1 introduced the possibilities. kotor2 really widened the range and depht, where your choices also affected others in your party. the next game should continue that path. the kotor games aren't about the graphics. i think obsidian made good work with what they got from bioware and the engine should be able to push. yes. it would be fun to move objects and such. but i think we'll have to wait for that until kotor 5 or something. i think very little touches of blur here and there can make things more intresting. (refer to hitman 2 -> 3.) anyway. that's my thoughts.
  10. the sick part of this, is that it already is "fullscreen=1". for fun, i can paste the beginning of the ini-file here: [Display Options] FullScreen=1 Disable Movies=0 Disable Intro Movies=1 Sort Modules=1 Width=640 Height=480 BitsPerPixels=32 RefreshRate=75 [sound Options] Music Volume=68 Voiceover Volume=85 Sound Effects Volume=65 Movie Volume=73 Number 3D Voices=14 Number 2D Voices=64 2D3D Bias=1.50 EAX=2 Sound Init=0 Disable Sound=0 Force Software=0 [Graphics Options] Anisotropy=1 Frame Buffer=1 Grass=1 Soft Shadows=0 Shadows=0 Brightness=52 EnableHardwareMouse=1 FullScreen=0 RefreshRate=75 Width=800 Height=600 V-Sync=0 Texture Quality=2 Anti Aliasing=2 Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
  11. hello there, i always have to change resolution when i start up TSL. the game starts in a window (i use 800x640 res). but i can get the game in full screen by changing resolution in the graphic options when the game menu appear. what is wrong?
  12. during the lasts days when i've been looking for info on patches and what things are repaired in the released ones, i've come to the thought of how CRIMINAL it is to release a game with so many bugs. still it's a great game. but i can't see how many of the consol-games like beyond good & evil and the silent hill-series are almost bug-free, compared to many pc-games. (correct me if i'm wrong.)
  13. i have to say, that i really loved the new characters and fully support the game developers in their choises. when i played TSL the first time i was really stunned by the dialogs and the improved system how you gain the peoples trust.
  14. i like both kotor 1 and 2. the story is more engaging and emotional in the first game, but the (small) improvements makes kotor 2 a more smooth gaming experience. as for when you find datapads (and don't have to browse inventory with 102 gadgets), the improved workbench function and a lot more. in kotor 3, i can imagine the player take the role as a young padawan (!) where the exile is the master (maybe in distress?) for this new jedi/sith enclave. i don't really care much about revan. he/she disappeared. the quest would maybe going looking for him/her. the main reason i love the kotor-games, is to live the star wars-universe and the big span of choises you can make. i think the kotor games really have widened the star wars-mythology for those who haven't taken part of all the fan-fiction and such produced since the first movies where made.
  15. i agree with poster ncr. it's more sexism in TSL than kotor 1. the only strong character, kreia, is just like christian mythology, represented by the devil in disguise. nevertheless, it's a great game, even if the game's feministic developement took a big step backwards. but hey, it's a way to attract to biggest groups of buyers, the men. as every marketting person would think in these times...
