The Wheel of Time Is Getting a Movie Trilogy Now, Too. An Age of Legends trilogy. There is barely enough material for that so it could be good or another GoT S8. Ok, maybe not necessarily as bad as that, but three movies? Doesn't sound like a good idea o me.

I didn't like the last two episodes of Loki. Also, wasn't the rule that you couldn't change the timeline, but only travel to another? Like Gromnir said, they will do whatever they want regardless of it making sense.

Yes, not realistic. Even the most enthusiastic people about it would eventually get tired of doing it. Unless they had some way to drug everyone or poison the atmosphere, I guess.

LOGH 38-40: No actual spoilers for the main story. Episode 40 told how the first Emperor rose to power. And it was not a nice story. It looked like some things we see today: politicians that don’t respect democracy being acclaimed by the people... The guy eventually was elected president and also premier, having all the power. Then he took over permanently, repressed what he considered immoral and before anyone could think about it, he went full nazi. The beginning of the Empire was basically The Man in the High Castle. "Euthanasia" was done to those with mental diseases and sterelization of the poor and disabled people. The parliament was dissolved, the republic became a police state and they had gulag planets. It even came close to a zombie apocalypse (not really lol), with people that were forced to ingest drugs or that were lobotomized. And that is why everyone on the imperial nobility has german names. The first emperor selected the descendents of the “arian race”. Mankind not changing really is a theme in this series. Unless the subtitles had a mistake, the population when the empire was founded was over 300 billion people and now, 500 years later, it’s just about 40 billion. I guess the sterelization idea was taken very seriously.

Basically my party in Solasta.

No, it is not. The day to day life doesn't look sci-fi at all, except for the fact that many characters will be on spaceships or stations, but even that is not predominant. The technology is not much different than what was available in the 80s-90s, when the anime was made. Although they do have video phones and spaceships. Some scenes in the Empire could actually take place in the 20th century or even earlier. Lots of people talking about politics or espionage while they drink wine. The plot is about war, politics, democracy vs. authoritarianism, etc. Even the battles are not much different than what navy ships would do in the ocean, if you ignore the 3D aspect of space. They even have some battles with axes for a reason that is well explained. Here is an example of the tech level (no serious spoilers):

LoGH 26-37: No story spoilers here. They gave some explanations about how things work in LoGH. Battles cause massive electromagnetic interference and that is one of the reasons ships can appear “out of nowhere” and surprise someone in battle. They also mentioned warp drives for the first time, but said ships can’t go beyond the corridor. No idea how this system actually works. Interesting how things are when people actually consider a strategy before starting a battle. If the enemy seems to be doing something dumb, then the other side considers the possibility of it being part of a plan and gets cautious. Not something common in sci-fi. Maybe the best strategy in this universe is to have your fleet assume a strange formation just to confuse the enemy and gain some time. lol And more on the Emperors' behaviors: the emperor’s complex is formed by four buildings, one of which is “a building where beautiful women live”. Hopefully Annerose was an exception and these women are adults.

More information on Black Geyser, probably nothing new, but I hadn't checked this page until now. Classes, races, spell system...

Black Geyser Q&A, from their Steam page. Level 20, Stronghold, Pets, open world...

I knew this game was beautiful seeing @Keyrock's screenshots, but it is even better when you play it yourself.

Of all games, Call of the Sea is the one I can't take screenshots with F12. It was working just fine with Solasta. Btw, what happened to the "12 GB"? When I installed it took 37 GB. -

Just finished Solasta. I expected to be able to rest before the last battle so I got there with just a feel spells. Interestingly, four spiders and an earth elemental kept all the enemies busy so it was pretty easy. Still don't understand This is next. -
Well, if it is aliens, then abductions should be taken seriously and it is indeed the case to apologize to a lot of people. This channel has some interesting interviews with scientists from many different areas. In the one below, Michio Kaku speaks of the Tic-Tacs as if they are indeed alien. And there is another one with Avi Loeb, where he takes it seriously too. Let's see if others start to do the same, as it should be expected based on what Sam Harris said.
-
And here is another reference to The X-Files: Tiny animal revived after 24,000 years entombed in Siberian permafrost Btw, not the first time I posted in this topic about the same episode.

It seems Sam Harris does. He's been claiming to have been contacted by someone from the government who wants his help to disclose the truth about UFOs to the public. And he appears to be taking this seriously, even talking about "the prospect of having to apologize to the people we’ve been laughing at for the last fifty years who have been alleging that they’ve been abducted." “This is probably premature to even talk about this, but I’ve had someone reach out to me and has assured me that I’m going to be on a Zoom call with, you know, former heads of the CIA and Office of Naval Research and people whose bona fide are very easy to track, and they’re concerned about the messaging around all of this to the public, and dampening down panic and conspiracy theories. But the … what is being promised here is a disclosure that is frankly, either the most alarming or the most interesting thing in the world, depending on how you take it, but it’s not a representation of the facts that will give scientific skeptics any comfort, and that’s just … we’re faced with the prospect of having to apologize to the people we’ve been laughing at for the last fifty years who have been alleging that they’ve been abducted or that cattle have been anally probed, pick your punch line.”

LOGH 16-25: What is the rule of succession in the Empire?? They say if the emperor doesn’t choose a successor, the next in line for the throne is his grandson or one of his granddaughters. But not one of his two daughters. Why?

September 24.

I think I'll add Ranma to my list. There is still a long way to get there though.

I have some friends that will use that as an excuse to go to the bar. There isn't much novelty or urgency involved, but it's definitely interesting and it can get challenging when you try to go home drunk.

Final season... part 1. Part 2 who knows when it will be available.

LOGH 8-15 Mostly minor spoilers here, unless hidden. So, everything began when the Emperor bought Reinhardt’s sister. She was only 15. I guess Sailor Moon Super S is popular over there. The empire also has an interesting definition of suicide. Despite all of that, in a way they are still better than the Alliance. The amount of corruption and military incompetence in the Free Planets is astounding and frustrating. I don’t think this will end well. Bigger spoilers below: More observations about the battles: Fighters don’t have wings and seem to move realistically, pushing and turning with small jets instead of moving aerodynamically as planes. Fleet battles are greatly affected by formations. And it is mostly a sequence of scenes with admirals giving orders, a quick battle scene and right after that you are already seeing the consequences, after hours have passed. Battles can still last a good part of an episode though. But they don’t give a detailed explanation of why the formations cause the result you see. How can enemies approach by surprise? Even if you wait for orders and was told to remain in some coordinates, shouldn’t you be able to leave earlier if attacked by a superior force? Why nuking a star is an advantage? Does if affect the enemy sensors in a different way because you were prepared and they weren't? Nothing absurd so far, but still makes me wonder. Maybe the ships are moving so fast that if they don’t know what you’ll do then they can’t react in time?
