  1. Yes. And it's easy to see that was when she got better with the letters.
  2. @Majestic where did you watch the Violet Evergarden movie? I don't see it on Netflix. There is an extra episode about an opera singer and movie about teaching in a women's academy.
  3. Violet Evergarden 11-13: The war was not actually over and they needed to sign a peace deal.
  4. Happier just in the sense that
  5. Violet Evergarden 8-10: More information about what happened during the war. And when things were getting happier episode 10 came.
  6. Violet Evergarden 6: Violet goes to an observatory to help transcribe some manuscripts. She smiles for the first time (?) and sees this amazing view of a comet and an aurora: Episode 7: Violet helps an author to finish a play. She cries for the first time.
  7. Not confirmed, but it seems this is the actress that will play Elayne in WoT:
  8. You are right about the two things. But changes and adaptations can be done in a good way, even improving the source material. A good example is The Expanse. Book Ashford was terrible when compared to the tv show. And generally the changes they made are easy to understand and sometimes even work better.
  9. Violet Evergarden 4-5: Violet goes to Iris' hometown to help her write some letters. In the following episode she is supposed to write letters for a princess that is involved in a diplomatic wedding.
  10. Supposedly Jeff Bezos told the showrunners: "I want Game of Thrones". I imagine he meant the quality and success of the first seasons instead of its ending. As @Maedhrossaid above, they will adapt part of The Silmarillion and that definitely draws my attention. However, I'm also a little concerned after hearing about some problems in the production, like actors and a Tolkien scholar leaving the show. They also hired an "intimacy scenes expert", so we know what part of GoT they are definitely copying. It already cost over a billion dollars, half of that just the price of acquiring the rights, so if it is not a success it will be an epic fail. With The Wheel of Time already filming its second season, I wouldn't expect any less for LotR. Amazon probably already committed to at least a second season.
  11. How can this happen? Is he secretly the owner of CBS?
  12. Just a bit, to see if you were talking about Violet Evergarden. I watched the first 3 episodes and I really like it. But I'm glad I watched the third now, since things get a bit happier in it. I haven't had much time to watch anime in the recent weeks, but it's time to catch up.
  13. Viewers, their hands shaking.
  14. Let's not go to "Fish Eye. Score Goal".
  15. Announcing the Galileo Project for the Systematic Scientific Search for Evidence of Extraterrestrial Technological Artifacts They will also study UFOs:
  16. I think Kurtzman even said something like this: "Half of the fans are happy and I think that is great." So don't ask me to explain.
  17. ‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 2 Has Begun Filming, Still No Sight of Season One Trailer. Actually, the trailer will come "before Summer's end".
  18. I'll definitely wait until next year. Maybe even replay the first one before doing my first WotR playthrough.
  19. Playing as a merciless Lich, demons, vampires, succubus waifu, lots of pre buff... Seems like the perfect game to play as Ainz Ooal Gown, from the anime Overlord:
  20. LOGH 41-54: Finished the second season. These episodes actually have some pretty bad battles with things like people forgetting space is 3D and not being able to go around debris, for example. They keep talking about how low the wages for soldiers are, even admirals. How bad is it? If even admirals don’t know if they can make ends meet, why is there so much military spending then? Big spoilers below: It was interesting when Yang said that people don’t realise when they are the bad guys. Not a good example in this case, since the alliance citizens who want war don’t really have another option (the empire never wanted peace), but it applies perfectly to the real world today. But let’s not talk about any examples since this is not the political thread... The way this season ended gives me the impression it will take quite a while for things to get interesting in the third season. So this is the perfect time to watch something else, like Violet Evergarden and Beastars.
  21. And now they expanded it
