I have to agree, that is slightly to the left of creepy. Watching the Pirates/Reds game. The Pirates are going to be tough to beat at home. This one is not in doubt.

Not necessarily. While, historically, the appropriations resolving past federal funding gaps have provided back pay for the furloughed workers, there is no guarantee of such, and there are reasons to suspect that doing so might not be the highest priority of the folks on the Hill. We federal civil servants aren't exactly the most popular folks around. At least the weather is incredibly nice. Although I have spent an embarrassingly large portion of the day with Crusader Kings II, I took a bike ride earlier, and I've got some flank steak marinading to grill this evening. For reasons that are too complicated to go into, I have decided that Enoch's job is to be the voice of the statue of Abraham Lincoln. Well they do both have the same profession!

kgambit is probably not a happy man right now. But I sure am. Great win, great performance by Price. He wasn't dominating by any means but he got outs when it was needed and going the whole 9 saved an overused pen. On to Cleveland!

Today or in general? Today because I'm killing time waiting for the football games to start. In general because of KOTOR II and as bunch of folks I knew on the BIS & Bioware boards were here. And many still are! I've always found that amazing. Internet forums are pretty transient places.

My last real fist fight was in the military. In the Philippines no less. Fights in the bars around Olongapo & Subic City were common. Marines would fight the Navy, the Aussie Navy, French Foreign Legion, Philippine defense forces, US Air force from Clark, you name it. And if no one else was around we fought each other. There was a running joke that is you didn't get at least one NJP in the PI you weren't really there!

I've been working on the house the last few days. I'm extending the porch around the house. I'm doing all the work myself and it is slow going.

You should jump on this is you can pick it up without extending yourself. Real estate is seldom a bad bet. sometimes it is in the short term but seldom in the long term. The danger is you may have to site on it for a time.

Smoked turkey tenderloin brushed with home made BBQ sauce & steamed summer squash & baked potatoes. And pecan pie for later. Obviously GF is coming over, I wouldn't have made all that just for me.

Yesterday at court was kind of similar, was in a bigger city and the prosecutor scored high on the ice maiden/probably moonlighting as a highly paid dominatrix scale. Especially since I said my bit in the first 15 minutes and had to just sit there for the remaining few hours. Niiiice. And I'm guessing you were so turned on you couldn't sit still!

I had some ground turkey so I mixed it with an egg, onion powder and chopped fresh jalapenos and made turkey burgers on the grill. It was pretty good. For dessert I'm having a cup of French Roast coffee while I sit on the porch enjoying the first cool weather of the year and type out a message to you folks.
