  1. I never found the story or the ending the least bit confusing - many of the questions OP is asking are answered throughout the game, making it sound like they simply didn't pay attention. The writing in this game is top-notch and, on a personal level, I found it all very gripping and intense to play through. I'd go as far as to say that this is one of the finest written RPG's I've played, and this permeates every aspect of the game; from the story to the characters and the world-building. It was a sheer joy to experience, and I immediately jumped on a second playthrough once my first was finished at around the 55-hour mark. Needless to say, I am very pleased with how this game turned out. It surpassed my already fairly high expectations, and I'm definitely looking forward to the additional content that will be released the later on.
  2. They're all in there. I've visited all those places. :/
  3. The Barbarian ability Heart of Fury has a weird default setting in the AI. It is set to have top priority when attacking, and the target is set to self, with no other conditionals. What this means is that the Barbarian will start combat by triggering the skill, usually hitting no one, ending up instantly wasting 4 Rage.
  4. Never noticed it like that, but each has a chance to damage the other (according to the tooltip). How frequently and reliably do you get the "wrong" outcome?
  5. The exact outcome of everything is too early to know (guides and wikis are works-in-progress, I assume), but as for which quest decisions do something in PoE2, you have Set PoE1 Game Stats in the options menu. Here you can go through all the decisions that will affect your PoE2 playthrough in some regard. The problem is that you don't know the particulars, of course. I think we'll have to wait a while longer for this kind of information. :/
  6. I understand why they chose to have the prose narrated during the critical path, but it is obviously subjective whether you personally like it or not. I love it and I also loved the reason why it's there, but others might not like it. Making it an option to switch it off would make sure everyone is happy, but like I said, I also understand why they might not want to do that. :/
  7. Aye, try verify/repair the installation first. Hopefully that helps.
  8. can u upload ur achievements file, pretty please? Found one here, if you still need it: https://www.reddit.com/r/projecteternity/comments/8ixtle/something_id_like_to_share_regarding_beraths/
  9. Good write-up. I'll do something similar when I'm done with my playthrough, but most of the things you bring up have happened to me as well.
  10. Auto-Pause -> Trap Detected -> Stop Party Movement. This setting doesn't save. When you restart the game, the option is unticked.
  11. This will depend a lot on the hardware, but with my i5 processor and the game installed unto an SSD, the loading times are usually between 5-10 seconds, no matter where I go. This is fantastic, and it's actually faster than what I experienced in Pillars 1. That said, I have heard from others that the loading times are really long. I'd assume this has to do with the processor and, possibly, running the game on a disk drive.
  12. Hello! I've played around 40 hours and I've up until now approached and dealt with bounties the same way I did in Pillars 1 and never thought twice about any possible repercussions. This might have been naïve of me, as I've realized now that maybe it's not just murderers or other criminals you're sent after, as they often belong to one of Deadfire's many factions. For instance, captains sailing for either the VTC, RDC, Príncipi, or Huana. Aside from holistic role-playing, is there any reason or incentive to decline certain bounties, or are the bounties practically a free-for-all?
  13. I have a similar issue. I had already done Crookspur after I had been sent there by both Aeldys and Furrante (Quest: A Shrewd Propositon), and when I reached that point in the VTC chain (Of Like Minds), I can't progress the quest. Furrante won't make mention of the quest, as he considers it "already complete" (albeit not in his favor).
  14. Hi! It says in the game options that enabling Telemetry will help the team in various ways, but it also says it will help me send you bug reports. It doesn't look like I am able to send bug reports from within the game, so what does this really mean? How should I ideally go about reporting bugs I might find?
  15. The same thing happened to me. I think there are a lot of factors involved, but basically, if you find the Undercroft before you get the quest to investigate the smugglers, the conversation with the prince regarding the quest Trade Secrets, gets messed up. You can still complete it by lying to him, and if you have Tekehu, he'll tell the truth anyway. The option to tell the truth yourself is missing. This also kind of suspended the quest Food for Thought. I was able to ask him about the deal and he agreed, but then the quest still behaved as if it hadn't been completed. Not until I had finised Trade Secrets (as above), was I able to once again proceed with Food for Thought. I suspect that the interconnectivity between Trade Secrets and Food for Thought complicates things here. Apologies to the QA team. This description is probably not as helpful as it could be. :/
  16. Hello! I hope this is is an appropriate place to bring this up - it's not a bug per se, but possibly an oversight. Basically, I'm at the point of the story where the Watcher has figured out they can track Eothas using the adra pillars. The main quest objective is to speak to the Queen in Neketaka. The Watcher still doesn't know why Eothas is gathering up all this energy from the pillars; it's still unknown what his ultimate goal is. Unfortunately for me, I'm one of those players who spends hours and hours doing everything but the main quest in a game like this. Among the quests I was able to more or less complete, was Xoti's The Lantern of Gaun, and once that is concluded (for the moment), both parts of the quest dialogue itself and the quest log seems to spoil for me what Eothas' plans are. I've attached a screenshot of said log, where it says clearly what Eothas intends to do. It's improbable that I've missed this piece of information before this stage of the main quest (and the Watcher normally acts as if they still don't know what Eothas is really up to). Either way, I felt a bit cheated after this quest.
