I see people talking about spamming this spell etc with these classes and I wonder how? If you are playing on hard or better you can only pack 2 camping supplies. If you spam spells every pull you'd burn through those supplies quickly and would have to go back to town all the time... some areas of the game wont even let you leave until you complete the area. I know you can spec those classes so that they can have extra lower level spells (I do) and equip them with gear that does the same but even then your spell use is limited. Most of my average pulls are auto attacking with those classes while tanks tank and the dpsers that don't have per rest abilities go to town. What am I missing? I am just really afraid to use PER REST spells on those classes unless its a boss or things have gone down the toilet quickly...Am I playing wrong? PS I just went on to WIKI and see that at high levels those classes get multiple low level spells per encounter not rest...makes more sense but even then you can definitely run out even with 16 level 1 one spells. Maybe I am too conservative.

So this is still my first play through ever. I have used MOSTLY custom characters (except Eder and Durance) because when I look at the story characters there stats just dont look good (for instance Pallegina no idea what to do with her as she does not get faith and conviction bonuses which is what makes a paladin go from an ok tank to a stellar one and her Might/Dex is bad for DPS)..are these characters OK to get through the game on hard? I am at Act II and have had no deaths to the party yet (except aloth hit a trap that one shotted him so hes dead). So I was using Aloth as well..half the party were story characters.

agreed on the tank aspect lol but my paladin is exactly that. This is my first time playing through ( I am playing on hard) and I know this game can be very unforgiving so I am scared haha. hes got 130 deflection and extremely high Fort, Reflex and Will...I have a feeling once I am through this playthough and more comfortable my tanks will be more offensive.

Leave a hard hitter in the back and uncommitted you know they will teleport. I ran on hard mode Tank fighter Tank paladin 2handed dps paladin Cipher Wizard Priest. I sat the dps paladin who can tank one mob for a bit in the back waited for the shade to teleport engaged him with the paladin and all dps focus him he's dead in seconds. Actually my paladins FoD almost one shotted him. If you don't have a semi 3rd tank like me commit your hardest target that is dps sit him by the wizard and when he ports focus him with all dps.

I am using Sagani just to see what ranger is like and with a Arquebus she hits VERY hard (slow shot buff) but...she obviously is a lot more effective with her pet (wounding shot etc) I just don't know how to keep the thing alive. Thing is the way agro works when multiple enemies are engaged the AI will pick the one with lowest deflection...and I cant give the wolf a pike haha he has to get close. So no matter what once he gets into the fray even if both of my tanks have engaged everyone the enemy will turn around and pound the wolf (smart hah)....so I guess I could take that talent that gives a Rangers pet DR. Any other advice? PS I know this is one of the weaker classes right now..for this exact reason. Should probably just grab a rogue and give him the firearm.

Pretty much. Solid tank with some good support abilities. Could be more Interactive and the auras could be bigger. Even with a lot of Int they aren't that big personally I still love them but I have a Paladin fetish. Also balancing a leader type class can be tough especially as a dpser. Cause if their dps is too good there would be zero point to bring heavy hitters as they don't have the support abilities.

Ya I won't argue that. I am playing on hard and have a 2handed Paladin and feel like the damage is OK. She does have the hardest single target hit so far. Running a Cipher and a Wiz(aloth i know hes not optimized)as the other dps and yes the cipher is miles better but that's his job. Heavy hitter. And with the wayfarer talents for heals I think she's damn useful. Also can face tank 2 melee mobs and not die immediately. In case my other 2 tanks for some reason don't pick something up. On the other hand although damn boring I think as tank they are very good. the fighter is better but he should be. With the rez and haste buff/LOH/deflection command I think being a better tank would be too good. I literally fought the drake below the Keep and nullified him completely at level 4 (playing on hard not POTD...yet) with my Paladin tank as he was a non factor and couldn't touch me. Rest of the party mopped up the Xuip.

Hey guys I am thinking up a Damage oriented Paladin (I know right?) for my next play through. Currently the custom one I built in my Party is freakin good and as the PC it would be even better cause of Faith and Conviction improving... Question. I am only level 4 with this custom paladin so I don't know the answer to this yet. I read the wiki and from what I understand Zealous Focus and Sworn Enemy will not stack correct? How about the buff from Liberating Exhortation that Darcozzi get? (+20 accuracy to whoever has the buff)...I was thinking maybe you could really burst something with Zealous Focus, Sworn Enemy and the Darcozzi buff...if they don't stack what happens? the weakest get suppressed.

Necroing this thread like a Death Knight in DnD as this has been an issue for me as well. I am going to buy a new mouse today and try but its the only program that I have that this happens with so I doubt it.- 6 replies

Ya at level 5 as a Tank paladin I think it's the best bet. I could take sworn enemy but my damage is crap so it will just be a little less crap. Although he's got decent might cause he's moonlike for his racial. It could probably argued though. So far I have gotten Eder out of some Paralyzes...here's hoping it works on petrify as I hear it's a nasty debuff. It wasn't working on release but it wasn't working on stuck and paralyze either it is now..didn't see patch notes on these fixes though lol.
