  1. Yep, they nerfed it apparently. At least the nerf was unrelated to the problem reported here. They made it so there is a cooldown between uses. Would be amusing if they added an even bigger delay in it activating after being clicked. :/
  2. I think obsidian are west coast? That would mean that end of day would be around midnight, probably 1:00 am GMT if they release at 5:00 pm Pacific time. Hey Obsidian, move to Europe! We have, erm, funny accents, and longer holidays? :D
  3. Is there a danger that hex editing the fix might cause further problems after the patch is released? I am a bit nervous about using it because of this.
  4. Yeah, without escape working smoothly it is pretty suicidal starting a fight with a backstab using melee rogue, real shame I feel. To be devil's advocate, I should say that I find escape does work well if you use it well in advance of being knocked out and jump behind your engagement tank that has hopefully locked your attacker in melee. Very unreliable all the same though.
  5. I tried to spawn in the key but I don't think it is an object, I think the warden just magically unlocks the door for you. Have you tried the 'push' command in console (as I say, not sure if it needs a mod to do it), it should teleport your party to where you cursor is (on the other side of the door). If you are lucky this quest bug might get fixed retroactively when they release the patch, though not sure if that is likely.
  6. Might have been uploading your saves to cloud if you just quit the game, otherwise... intriguing. Want patch now! *throws toys from the pram*
  7. With the hood on? That is odd, I could get through the dialogue non-violently. Maybe you have missed some info you need for the dialogue somewhere? You might have already killed a character that can give you some insight into the ritual...
  8. Yeah, you can enter the sanctuary (chapel/priest quarters) via the walls and you enter right next to two sets of three priests robes which trigger some dialogue about using them as a disguise. I assume coming in this way and wearing them before engaging any enemies allows you to blend in and not get attacked or is certainly supposed to; I went on a slaughter-fest so haven't actually confirmed if that is working or not, I can confirm that trying to put the robes on after killing someone on that level does not stop the NPCs being hostile though.
  9. Sorry to double post but I just wanted to add some more pertinent information on this bug. The two places I have been able to test and replicate this are in Caed Nua, saving and reloading right before the fight (after the dialogue) with Maerwald and also in the same situation with the fight with/for Verzano in the Vailian Trading company. I believe it is probably the cause of both the following reported bugs: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72467-vailian-trading-company-broken-quest/ and http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/73273-maerwald-dialogue-bug-in-caed-nua/ as I can replicate these every time using the save/load method above.
  10. I just assumed that if you had already started a fight on that level before finding and equipping the robes you couldn't just pop on robes in the wake of your slaughter and stop being hostile. So it might not be a bug.
  11. Why on earth has my intelligence dropped to 7 though? I haven't actually tested if my focus is not regenerating properly but it does seem to be related to the horn. How come mine seems to have dropped though?
  12. I assumed the delay was intentional but maybe I was wrong. Now I need to check if the engagement line still follows me. However, if I jump out of engagement range doesn't the line just mean they are still targeting me? I can still run around after escaping without taking a disengagement hit. The enemies will crawl over broken glass to catch up with me though, not sure if that is right. The delay/rubberbanding to jump away is really annoying though, it's often just enough time for me to die or get hit and interrupted.
  13. I noticed this too, I had not learn't his name at this point. Interestingly, the next time I saw him in a vision he came up with his name as Thaos, but I am certain that before then I didn't know his name, pretty sure there had been no part of the main quest that revealed this, I wonder if the two are related. This was just after completing the catacombs part of the main quest in Act 2. Did I miss me learning his name? Weird.
  14. Don't know if this has been reported but you can quicksave just as a battle is starting, when NPCs have turned hostile but you aren't counted as in battle yet. This is fine but if a quest has just advanced which triggered the enemies turning hostile and you do this then the quest doesn't continue to trigger properly if you reload the save. Easiest place to test this is probably talking to the crazy watcher (forgotten his name) in the first level of the endless dungeon below the stronghold (the last stage before you claim the stronghold for yourself). If reload and then kill him in battle the stronghold quest will not continue properly. I have had this problem on a separate quest too but forgot which one. I assumed it happens for all examples of this but I have just been careful never to quicksave right after a quest triggers a battle now. I tested on the above example a couple of times and got the same problem each time.
