  1. With the releasedate set to stone, how can one be entirely sure?
  2. Ah, you misunderstand what I meant. I didn't mean some great "MY GOD! I'M REVAN!" plot twist. I meant actually starting out as Revan, knowing that the character is Revan. Players naming their character could be accomodated by the fact that the pc may be revan but would prefer to think of himself in the only identity he remembers ie. the one from Kotor. Oh, my mistake. It would solve how HK-47 and T3 being your party-members to who's alive and not. But there's one problem though, which has been adressed several times before: How can Revan gone from being the one with the most powerful connection to the force to loosing his lightsaber, having his/her forcepowers at an apprentices level? Also, Obsidian stated in the articles that Revan would only be a NPC in KotORII.
  3. The idea itself is nice, but i got my worries about it affecting the development for the PC though. Coming to mind is of course the Deus Ex: Invisible War, which turned out to be a horrendous port to the PC, which left a bitter taste for all the PC-folks out there. Will the GUI/controlls be optimized seperately for the PC/Xbox? Will the textures be at a higher resolution than on the Xbox? Do even Obsidian have the staff to develop KotOR2 for two seperate platforms? /me crosses fingers...
  4. Ok idea, but i don't think that Obsidian will pull the same plot-twist as Bioware once did.
  5. #3 is the simplest way not alienate your fanbase, but as you stated, it will be damn hard for Obsidian to pull it trough.
  6. Considering that bioware-forums have 1.8 million registered members, we're only just getting started here
  7. So you start with force powers? from where did you get that?
  8. Finally! and nice pic too For simultanius releasedate on pc and xbox, i'll not believe that one until i see the "GONE GOLD"-posts...
  9. It will most definately will be flooded with new peeps asking the same question that has been discussed here for the past two weeks.
  10. For me, KotOR had tons of music that was memorable like: "Bastila Shan", "Dantooine Outback", "Taris Upper city" and "Ahto city". You can get the whole soundtrack from here: http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com
  11. After reading the articles about KotOR2, one notices that you seemed to forgot to use the force? Are we having another Kyle Katarn on us? Wouldn't it be more simple if you just refused to use the force and later when you're trying to use it again, you'll notice that someone is preventing you from using it? That would make a good first mission, to find the person who's restraining you from using your force powers IMHO. Opinions?
  12. I expect a some high-res screens, a trailer and ofcourse the official announcement by Lucasarts. An in-game trailer could be released as an x-mas gift to the community in december.
  13. Isn't that exactly what they did in the original KotOR? ...and in episode IV and VI too, having a huge battlestation is abit of clich
  14. So, some will be returning but not all, which is a smart decision, imo. Meh, ofcourse it doesn't say who will return, but thanks for the quote though. Maybe depending on your choices on whether there was LS or DS ending in KotOR 1 will affect the amount of characters returning.
  15. I take the hoax thingy with a great grain of salt, considering they have an unoffical FAQ-thread about KotOR2 as a sticky here
  16. Can i have a direct quote on that from the devs? I don't remember reading that anywhere...
  17. 1. Coruscant 2. Telos 3. Dantooine 4. Hoth 5. Yavin IV 6. Endor 7. A death-star like base were the final battle takes place.
  18. I think that most issues with the gameplay has already been adressed, but nevertheless here my "additions": 1) Dispite the situation Obsidian has put themselves in, i do hope they justify it by having a story at the same caliber as KotOR 1. 2) Have Yuthura Ban as a party member. 3) More variations on the faces of NPCs. 4) No underwater missions! 5) Let each world have bigger and longer levels, but not bigger for the sake of it. I don't feel like running trough a canyon only to find nothing on the other side. 6) Let the follow characters have cameo appearances: Canderous, Carth(if female), Bastila(if male), HK-47 and Mission. Jolee and Juhani can have their fates revealed as a story, no need for cameo there.
  19. Now suddenly there's just five worlds? I have a slight feeling that devs themselves haven't decided yet on how many levels this game will have. I do hope for more than 7 though *hint* *hint*
  20. Hey! that was my post Even though your choices in the beginning of KotOR II will give a more appropriate perception, it's still your PC that they altered. It will be a very difficult task, if not the most difficult one, to satisfy everyones mental image of Revan.
  21. I never said it was a bad, it can be a great thing if that is actually true and means something in the game. And I call it that at least because "Sith Lords" is as bad as "Attack of the Clones" as a title. How about "Return of the Sith" then? :D
  22. just so long as they don't do another lame-@ssed plot twist like the first one: i.e. it turns out that the PC is actually .... Malak! Highly unlikely, starting the game as a 8 foot bald guy with a missing jaw would raize too much suspision
  23. The next issue of CGM might contain some more PC-specific info about KotOR: Sith Lords It should be in stores May 4th.
