  1. Several comments: One: You cannot produce a property of any sort with the name Star Wars without permission from its owner. Two: How do you expect to develop a game without any programming experience? Three: You cannot just decide one day: I am starting a company and go on your merry way. You must submit the proper documents and get approval for your name, etc. from the government.
  2. If you havent noticed, the higher levels have a higher post number than you. When you write a certain number of posts, your level will increase.
  3. It has been almost universally agreed (except by Creationists) that those bones came from other creatures and were falsely attributed to giants. For example, the Greeks and Romans found the skulls of Mammoths and created the Cyclops mythos due to the hole in the front of the skull where the trunk attached.
  4. If I have offended, I apologize, but this is a topic near and dear to my heart. To "Evolution is Completely Stupid!" (great choice in sn's btw) aka dill, even if I were faithful, I would be a member of the Jewish religion, and thus dismissive of the idea of hell. Hell is a concept added by later Christians who needed a place to send their enemies and supposed heretics. The supposed creator of your religion, Jesus, was at heart Jewish and never wanted another religion to be born. All the stuff about him being the son of god was invented by his followers along with the rest of the New Testament. @ metadigital: I do not disagree. Everyone has the right to believe what they choose. I just cant tell if Reveilled is being serious about her beliefs or sarcastically spouting religious doctrine. Also, it is just as much my right to attempt to dissuade someone from what I consider idiocy. Whether they choose to believe me is up to them.
  5. If this higher being is omnipotent, then why didnt he create existence instantaneously? Did he get tired or some such? Secondly, I just visited a creationist website and you are correct; they do believe in dinosaurs. However, they are referred to as dragons and it is theorized by this site that the reason they grew so big is because they lived hundreds of years. Even though most reptiles do continue to grow larger throughout their lives, the rate is dramatically reduced as they age. Ah, yes and this idea that reptiles lived longer is proved by the fact that the bible says people did too! Wow, lets base our entire world-view on a fictional book written thousands of years ago! If they say people could live to 900, they must be telling the truth! I suggest it is just as likely these aged individuals were Yoda and his race in disguise as the idea they grew to that age at all. @ Reveilled: I'm having a hard time telling if you are being serious or sarcastic.
  6. Ah, yes. I had forgotten the great power of the almighty Goddess. Consider me a convert!
  7. First of all, while the song "Mad World" was used in Donnie Darko, it derived from a late '80's, early '90's band called "Tears for Fears." Also, I have studied the creationist view. Being Jewish by birth (although agnostic by belief), I was sort of forced into it by religious school. And I find the concept laughable that everything suddenly formed over the course of six days. According to you and others of your ilk, the fossils were placed by god to delude the non-believers. I cannot find any reason this is easier to believe than the fact that millions of years have produced various lifeforms whose remains were preserved in the ground. But let me guess, you don't believe in dinosaurs either, right?
  8. As would the Sith. One would think at least the opportunity for manipulation would appeal to their ethos.
  9. The only possible response I see is: the blind are surely leading the (willfully) blind.
  10. I was never that big a fan of Thundercats. I only saw a few eps and remember those vaguely. Also, feel free to call me Arch. Its quicker and most of the oldies do, if not some other teasing nickname I can't currently remember. Anyway, as for useless trivia, John Wilkes Booth's brother once saved the life of Abraham Lincoln's son. Irony.
  11. Hmm...I always thought it was Lionel.
  12. I believe that most humanoids (the ones without different colored skin, etc,) are subsets of one specie. While there would be genetic drift, they should be able to mate in most cases. Whether Miraluka are considered a human subspecies is unknown to me.
  13. While I too desire larger locales, the possiblity of such an extreme expansion is quite unlikely for many reasons.
  14. I'm beginning to hate that place...
  15. I'm sorry to say I just had a WTF? moment while looking at your piece.
  16. Well, movement not in a physical sense, but the psychological imperatives and actions that follow the state of love. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm, yep, I got that bit; I was more looking for some clarification on what, exactly, you felt love "and other emotions" added to the obvious biological imperative. Specifically, what value the feelings themselves, or the associated derivative experiences, give to the satients that have them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had to think about that for a few minutes. Hmm, in that case, it is my opinion that emotion adds an undertone to life, and while ultimately a survival trait, enables the growth of culture based on interaction without detriment to either party. On the other hand, the negative emotions also contribute to the rampant inequality of current society. I'll come back with more explanations later.
  17. Rather dark, isnt it?
  18. While I, on the other hand, used them frequently... I don't think anything has to be sacrificed (except due to time limits) if enough effort is put into the development phase...
  19. Brava! *snaps to show his approval* :">
  20. Dont misunderstand me; I am fully for a larger game. I simply hope the devs learn from past mistakes.
  21. Well, movement not in a physical sense, but the psychological imperatives and actions that follow the state of love. Unfortunately, this equality was not evident in all cases. But for the most part, I agree. Then again, I'm not a big fan of the military in general (pun intended). Ah, then you have some interesting times ahead, my friend. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Time will tell.
  22. While I do enjoy large games with multiple paths and a multitude of sidequests, the problem with a game like Morrowind is that you could potentially lose yourself in the world and never feel compelled to even attempt the main quest.
  23. To some degree, I concur with edu11, particularly in the idea that love arose out of a reproductive urge. However, I believe that evolution of the mind and social constructs have given love a "life" of its own, so to speak. In other words, while love is created through biochemical interactions, the state itself moves beyond that. Now to get back on topic, the Jedi, as many religious organizations have in the past, (yes, the Jedi belong to a religion, whether you admit it or not), prefer to blind themselves to reality in the hope that abstinence from life will keep them pure. Instead, it only opens them to corruption when they confront the truth of emotion. We have seen this in our world and it surely occurs in the Star Wars universe. Thus, it is my opinion that love and other emotions are desirable if only in that, experience gives us wisdom and understanding (Personally I believe they have greater value, but perceptions differ). And the search for understanding, wisdom, and peace is the philosophy espouted by the Jedi on every possible occasion. P.S. This is from someone who has never been in love, so take it with a grain of salt.
  24. Not particularly. While I havent played much of D&D, I have played other PnP games and I personally prefer the social aspects, i.e. diplomacy, party interaction/manipulation. Anyway, while the combat can be fun at times, it just isnt my perfect cup of tea, to adapt an old cliche. Some people simply prefer the strategy side of battle; I like to get it over as quickly as possible, so as to move onto other things. Everybody has their preferences.
  25. Hmm, that name reminds me of something. Exactly what I cannot remember.
