suggestions/ideas More traps and depth
Sorumeito replied to Sorumeito's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
That's a good idea, they could have a flying boss fight too where you have to get a bee mount to fly around and fire arrows at the enemy (a queen wasp or a flying dragon fly) and the reward is a smaller boss version mount. Utilize the other modes of possible and transportation. Heck I love how skin crawling some situations can become with spiders, if they plan on going up in higher tiers, there are so many possibilities to accurately do that without running out of material to work with. Grounded 2 can be as large as gta5 and still be oodles and oodles of fun and creativity. Like if they increase the map size, id like to see a fast travel potential using an earth worm express (incase they need to separate the maps to keep the game running smoothly, they could have the masked stranger set up a fort or wall that keeps the player out until they get a item or pass her test) i would say put in unique mounts for fort traversal like a rhinoceros beetle name Susie that was a kid's pet that he lost. Since the beetle can lift 850 times their own weight, itd be cool to add. -

I watched that movie and I enjoyed it Its one of the few Apartheid movies that highlights the reality and nuance of Apartheid where not all white people agreed or believed in the system but you lived in a police state and there was a real fear of Communism which was used to label anti-Apartheid activists

I don't see why I should have asked you a question. You should consider that I didn't write that text for you alone, but also for other readers who might find your rant (which is based on your subjective, very short first impression). They could get influeced by it if there's no counter, missing out on what I think is an excellent and fun game. Of course I am biased: I like the game very much. But still: I made some (I think) pretty solid arguments and gave examples as to why Deadfire's systems are superior compared to PoE's. I was polite, not agressive and I didn't judge your personal opinion. I literally said "it's absolutely valid to dislike the changes made". I merely objected your conclusion and your opinion about the game's systems. There also wasn't a blind defense. I took the time and worded my response carefully and wrote down a bunch of examples - one cannot step back, look at my reply and seriously call that a blind defense. I agree though that I'm not really interested in your position about the game. I'm more interested in the possible effects your rant might have on potential future players - and I want to present a counterargument which is trying to be more objective and resonable... so that those potential players have a chance to make a more educated decision. I like to help players who have problems with/questions about both games' mechanics, rules, builds, tactics and so on. But I'm not interested to play therapist for disappointed players. If you don't enjoy Deadfire then that's fine with me. Not everybody has to like the same things. You're welcome. I also answered your question about Avowed and other Obsidian games. I hoped that would be useful, too. Cheers!

I am not too bothered. It is the voice acting I find annoying, similar to, but not as bad as Expeditions: Rome. Voice actors do a generic "foreign" accent that is supposed to cover the whole Mediterranean and sounds nothing like anyone from anywhere in the world - unless voice actors are actually all from Voiceactorlandia and that is the voiceactorlandian accent. I enjoyed Total War: Troy. Only TW game I managed to finish a campaign. But I have been starving for a non-medival fantasy RPG. I would love an Elder Scrolls type game in a different fantasy setting. Something based on India or Mesopotamia or somewhere that hasn't been done to death. If only Carnal Instinct weren't a porn game :/ Take out the porn and give it proper funding, that game would be fun...

Hello again! Today i have some Feedback again: Bugs: - Either the Bugs are inside the Terrain or the Sound is Bugging. Often i can hear Weevils or Aphids but when i look in the Direction there is nothing. - When Riding the Buggie (Spider) it is hard to maneuver because there are so many things that block it off with Alpha Walls - The Performance in my System (Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB DDR4 RAM, RTX 4060 OC) is okayisch when Playing on Medium Settings - The Crashes that occured because of memory leaks are now resolved but i have a not so smooth expirience. - When killing the Weevils with Fire Damage you get the raw and not the cooked flesh - Cancelling Plans requires to hold x Wishes/ Suggestions: - Biomes: Air Biome inside the Oak Tree Crown, Swamp Biome, River Biome, - Enhance Crop Farming (Felt already a little bit unrewarding in Grounded 1 - High Space Requirements for few Results) - Enhance Material Farming. When Farming Spiders you can create a Stuffed Variant to enhance the Loot. There is no such mechanism for not-bug-based materials. For example: Farming Coal in Grounded 1 was a Pain in the But. Same for Gum. Respawn Time Few Days and when you go Harvesting you only get a handful. Very unrewarding... That is okay if that is the case in the beginning but there should be the possibility to Upgrade it or Create a Farm for it. - Boss Suggestions: Bird, Lizard/ Dragon (Inside a Volcano?) - Enhance the Base Upgrade Process. Replacing f.e. Grass Walls is a hell of a pain... I still have lots of grass lying around... - Overhaul Trashing Mechanism - Create Trash Bins for Grass! - Add Big Stones as new Materials that could only be Transported by Big Strong Buggies - Add Oak Leaves as Harvestable Material - Add Glas as Gettable Material and with it Roof Windows - PLEASE!!! Add more Base Protection Against Flying Enemies.... I hated it so much when my base was attacked by Mosquitos or Wasps in Grounded 1. The Demolished my base so hard and i could not do anything about it... - If nor Air Biome: Create Something cool in the Tree Crowns and make it Possible to build a Cool base there (Which is not Dependant on Ground Supports -> Should be buildable on top of the Branches) - Add more Random Events with Specialties: For Example Rain -> New Specific Mobs + Bees will Stay inside Their Base .... Fire Bowl Lights up more Intense -> Brings up a Boss or Unique enemies) - PLEASE!!! Make Base Attacks Disableable.... i hate this mechanic so much if i cannot do anything to stop it - Make a Craftable Slider (Way better variant of Dandelion Tufts - Add Climbing and Climbable Walls to the Environment - Give the Wizard AoE :c (At least for the Charged Attack) - Make it possible to turn on the hose and to flood a Garden Area - Create a Full Summoner Class (Optional: Necromancer/ Tamer Subclass) - Create little Upgrades for the Omni Tool in General OR The Single Tools (More Speed/ More Damage/ More Range) - FLYING. MOUNT. \O_O/ - Autocollect possible when not on mount (While Holding E you collect) Maybe? - Rework the Perk System to further enhance "Downclassing" - Create a Wizard Subclass for Electric Damage (Chaing Lightning!) - Create a Nature Based Wizard Subclass - Create a Bard Class for Healing and Buffing - Create a Throwing Weapon Class Thanks for reading! Cheers

Mosquitos And blue butterflys

Does a mosquito attacking me count as provoking the butterfly then? -

Yesterday morning I played for about 4 hours. About 9:30am est it started crashing. I have not been able to play the game since. I’m playing on an Xbox console. Every time I load into the game it crashes within the first two minutes. I even hardwired the console to see if that was the issue and it isn’t.

@Raven Scar I understand your point, perhaps I didn't describe it clearly enough. There is a kind of pre-filtered selection of items that can only be dried. That way, only those items appear in the drying rack UI. I mean, something like that already exists in the game. If I have berries, or rather items in my inventory that can potentially be dried, only those can be selected, and all the others are grayed out. So I assume that a filter by item ID or something similar is already in place. One idea could be to integrate a kind of box / storage box behavior into the drying rack itself, where you can see all the items that can be dried. You could then scroll through them and the number of slots of the box would automatically expand according to the number of available items, which would be a extra treatment for the storage box implementation. On the other hand, you could perhaps make only the items in the drying rack selectable if there are any in your base, without showing the total number or all stacks. You would have, for example, three fields in the UI, one for blueberries, one for cranberries, and one for food (yes, there are different types), and to prevent the UI from exploding when there are too many items, you could perhaps only display (one) item as long as there are some in your base. The workbench or the spinning wheel functions similarly, all resources in a radius can be used / selected from the crates, which would also be useful for the drying rack. Perhaps the most sensible approach would be to use icons (if in storage). However, representing food durability could be a problem, because of the single stacks, but that could be solved by always selecting the item that expires first. While writing this, I read the new comment from @Alynxkia, which sums up a possible idea for displaying the items.

OpsMan started following Adventure pouch needed
-
I never played Grounded before so a complete newbie at 62 years of age. The most annoying thing for me is having resources available for fires, lean to, torches and flag markers etc. My suggestion would be an adventurer pouch that was locked against emptying. Then you could have those resources available to you. The reason I say this is it takes a long time to reach areas and this would help people to be prepared for overnight stays etc.
-
The drying rack could be set up to work more like the spinning wheel, grinder or the cookery. All of those items are able to pull from nearby chests without it being a big deal.

Can we bring back the ability to permanently remove grass, it keeps growing into my bases, also maybe let us use the grass seeds to grow back stems directly in the ground. We could use the shovel to help us plant them and a canteen full of water to start the stem, 48 in game hours later maybe a certain radius grows grass. With the teens being a little older maybe we can improve their engineering knowledge? I’d love it if we could build some tree house style elevators using a pulley system. Or if that’s not possible maybe just give us access to the schematics for the elevators used inside of labs already. fire poles and slides would be another really cool edition, getting out of my bases top floor I usually just jump over the railing and risk the fall damage, but if I could slide down a slide or a fire pole from the top floor that’d be absolutely epic. id also love to build inside the biomes a little bit, maybe you could incorporate insulated floors, walls, and ceilings with chill/sizzle resistance using candy shards, everchar charcoals, and icicles? Once the building grid improvement comes along you could establish necessary barriers to avoid letting us get too crazy with it, might be a little too unrealistic to build a base inside of the actual fire pit after all. i know it’s a long read so if you made it this far, thanks for taking the time!

The All Things Political Topic - What's Going On...?

Oh yes, the Houthis There random bombing of cargo ships in the Red Sea has made a huge difference to Israel's imprudent military strategy since 7 October Maybe the Houthis should join BRICS, that will definitely be more significant -
90% of the mobs in the end level fell out od the world. The last roach i killed by seeing a foot because he glitched in to a wall. The last boss did the same tieh the spider. Yes i could kill them but in a wall. The last spider jumped and in to a wall and it was just there. it died like the rooach out of my reach. I could hit it since i saw legs and sometime heads
-
i understand what your saying but that's kinda more effort than ease, imagine you have 10 storage chests, each one full of perfectly sorted resources, you would have a very difficult time looking through them just to put 3 items on the rack, or even if you could sort by chest, saya drop down menu, still difficult, most people don't name chests. its actually easier to have the items in your inventory and add them

There should be a weekly supply drop and you habe to fight for it.
