Youtube recommendations, let's beat the algorithm
ShadySands replied to Sarex's topic in Way Off-Topic
I watch RLM and occasionally Daily Show clips. I have premium that I got with something. There was a Shadowrun lore podcast that I would also watch but they haven't dropped anything in a long while. That's about it. I still don't really browse or anything. My son had YT kids but I blocked it because I thought it was mostly all trash because it's all watching other kids unbox and/or play with toys and weird obnoxious kids. /Grumpy old man yelling at clouds -

Same gameplay with new characters and a few different abilities. It only has one morality axis - you either do good or do evil. That is a bit disappointing. It also has a very small cast of heroes. You recruit the full team and that's it. They can't die though. About 20+ hours of gameplay. A bit more compact, but since you like the original you will like this. And the characters have different enough gameplay to the original classes that it doesn't go stale.

DahrAmahr started following Few design issues and problems I have with the game so far.

Greetings fellow shinkers. I've been playing grounded 1 for quite a while... like alot. It's my #1 survival game out there. In terms of time played only Don't Starve Together wins by comparison (with around 800ish hours played). I hopped in Grounded 2 yesterday with my buddy and after 2 hours I have some opinions. I'll try to keep this spoiler free as much as possible. I enjoy new enviroment. It gave me the refresh I needed after long hours of Grounded 1, where I knew every spawn of every wolfspider, black widow, or bombardier beetle. However stright from the get go I got hit in the face by few issues that might not be a problem for some (as some "journalists reviews" prove). 1: new inventory UI - this is terrible design choice. Looks way too plain and simplistic and actually this seems to me more of a placeholder graphics untill we get the real one. Get the one from Grounded 1 for the time being it was perfect. Don't try to fix what aint broken. - I don't mean the character model on the right with slots, that bit is fine and it's a welcome change from grounded 1 (alhough the slots look awful just the way backpack does). 2: Omni-tool - I hate the idea. Well maybe not the idea it self but execution. I understand that the logic behind it was to safe some inventory / hotbar slots free for weapons and consumables? (or at least I hope that's the reason behind it), but the execution is rather lacking. The fact that I need to walk up to interactable object and ONLY then I need to hold "E" to be able to use omni-tool is in my opinion a huuuge step backwards from Grounded 1. Axe was not only my cutting tool but also my top 3 favourite weapon untill tier 3 2H swords came in. The fact that I was able to run around freely swinging my axe and cut down grass WHILE fighting a wolfspider at the same time gave me that Ninja Scroll moment during a fight in a bamboo forest... (what happens when there are 2 different objects very close to each other and each requires a different omni-tool to extract?) My solution to this - make Omni-Tool an existing item. Put it in a slot and alow it to be equipable. Give it a toggle option (like press a designated button to cicle back and forth which omni-tool mode you wish to use) but alow the omni tool to be used with atk button not "interact" button. This will STILL reduce the space it takes up in our inventories, but makes the gameplay smoother. 3: visual cues - Charged attacks and perfect parry animations - There is no need for all the sparklings and shiny effects when I charge my weapon for heavy attacks. Frankly it looks ridiculous and is very annoying. This wasn't a thing in Grounded 1 and I see no reason whatsoever why it should be in Grounded 2 4: The bug ability to block attacks is a nice touch thou, but the visuals are also a little bit too extravagant. For refernce see how hitting a roly poly that has been tuckered down felt like. No one had any doubts that attacks have close to none effect, by the sound and feeling. Do that instead of strange knock back (that sometimes sends my little kid up into air) and visual impact animation that is way over the top. 5: animation glitches - I have no idea if Grounded 2 uses new or the same engine as Grounded 1. Mosquitos for example look and feel almost exactly the same as those in Gr1 BUT in 1 it never happened to me that a mosquito that missed it's roundabound attack missed me ... then all of the sudden teleported near me and hit me despite the miss. It feels like there is something off with hit boxes or that the displayed attack animation missmatched actuall point of attack. The same thing can be said about mites for example. They jump where I was second ago... and yet the still hit despite the fact they shouldn't and sometimes they don;t hit me, when I feel/see they should have. I know it's a post full of negativity but it's only because I'm saying about things that don't sit well with me. I can't praise everything I feel is better because it'd be a MASSIVE post. TLDR - make it more Grounded 1 with new enviroment and bugs xD P.S. the voice acting is top knotch. The corporate lady does an AMAZING job so far.

I ran into a bug in Grounded 2 where I completed a mission that required killing some special insects. These insects only spawn in a specific area, and I already killed them and collected the materials. Later, the same mission appeared again, but now the insects don’t respawn, so I can’t complete it. I also don’t have a save file from before killing them. Is this a known issue? Is there any way to fix or reset the mission? Thanks in advance for any help or info..

Im watching lots of series and re-watching both old and new that include Fringe, Mentalist , Major Crimes, the Institution and the Gilded Age But one that really stands out is The German https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32872971/ Its set 25 years after WW2 and its about a married couple who survived the Holocaust living in a Kibbutz in Israel The husband gets strong-armed by Mossad into infiltrating a clandestine Neo-Nazi group in Germany but as the story unfolds certain assumptions change ...like " is he really a Holocaust survivor and who is he really " But its a great plot and very unexpected -
I have always been a big fan of 2 handed weapons. For example, in the first Grounded, the mint mace was my pride and joy in most of my playthroughs. In Grounded 2, I love the new class system prioritizing bows, daggers, sword/shield, and magic. But I can't help but realize that my beloved 2 handed weapons currently seem to be getting neglected. It would be awesome if there could be a sort of 2 handed brute or tank class to give 2 handed weapons some much needed love. There are many cool things that could be done, like making the user super tanky, boosting 2 handed attack speed and/or stun damage, boosting 2 handed block power, etc. Idc what route is chosen, I just hope that my 2 handed weapons can get some love. #Justice4Clubs

I was playing grounded 2 on release day and I fell from a high height whilst riding my buggy. I died and respawned, after I respawned my was stuck underneath the map and there was no way for me to call my buggy, I didn’t have a back up save so couldn’t go before the fall, I can no longer do anything about this issue. I can’t have new buggies either because in order to obtain a new one I have to stop my old one from following, the problem with that is you can’t order them to stop following unless they are near you or are in your hot bar. I tried to ask it to stop following in the hot bar but it doesn’t do anything. Basically I am now stuck without a buggy in this play through unless this gets patched or fixed. Absolute shame to be honest. Very disappointing. Does anyone know what I can do?

thecatan118 started following SCA.B UI and other minor things
-
First of all I am really enjoying the game alot and am looking forward to future additions. My only gripe with the EA so far is that the entire UI is clearly made for console and some PC Features are missing. I would Love some changes for PC players make the optional for all I care. First of all give us our hotbar in the inventory screen to drag and drop things on to it and second the press x number to set hotbar slot is nice, tho I would prefer not to have to click on the item first to do that hovering over the item and then pressing a number should be engnoth. Also I liked the big text buttons in the first game to switch between screen the tiny buttons in the top right dont cut it for me. I never use the Q/E thing as that is worse then tiny buttons, right now I use the shortcuts for switching have inv and craft on mouse buttons and the rest on easy to reach buttons, this works but I never felt the need to do this in the first game. Right also on PC some things dont need a "hold to do" thing like sorting the inventory. And lastly I remapped the last 3 boxes of the hotbar like "8" to "H" now the hotbar dos'nt show the change it still shows "8", having the change be visible would be nice. Now all thease are minor engnoth nothing that ruins the game just little things "bugging" me. So I'll keep playing and enjoying the game no matter what.

Hi, I am Ultimate Game Pass user, I like to play on my Xbox Series S at the couch and my PC desk... I noticed that my saved file from Xbox last night first play is not available on my PC, just to make it even more clear, I use the Xbox PC App. Is this normal? There is no cross saving?

Is this a real trailer? (apparently it's a "Prime Video" release movie) "DATA IS THEIR FOOD" "IT'S WORSE THAN YOU THINK." YT comment: "The budget for this film was the price of an ice cube" -
When fighting any bug of any type, my game drops frames a lot and freezes for a few seconds every couple of seconds. Its a bit unclear as to why, but it could be due to the AI's attack patterns. Dropping rendering and quality settings only helps the framerate when exploring. Does not affect fighting in the slightest. Edit: also, parry windows are very small compared to grounded. You have to block the exact moment the bug hits you or you won't parry it. It feels like it's only a few milliseconds wide.

One mission, because of healing, I ended up with three knights on the team who can give extra action points to others. That made for an interesting run, with one knight supercharged, running around like speedy gonzales. My Balan got an artifact pretty early on that let him teleport to the next enemy on kill. Love items like that. Waiting to see what you think of the stand alone roman expansion.

Keybinds will not save. It doesn't just happen when you close the game, it happens if you are in a world and then quit to main menu. I've tried changing the keybinds while in the main menu, or while I have a world loaded, and it will not save the keybinds past that current session. Just for more information, if I change keybinds from main menu, and start a world, it allows those keybinds to work until I quit to main menu again. At that point if I visually check keybinds in the main menu I can confirm they have reset, or if I just go back into a world without looking, my keybinds will all be reset. Silly little bug but probably annoying for tons of people, priority fix on this one would be sweet!

If I recall correctly, it used to be easy in the first game to choose between being left alone vs attacked by bugs. Now I have to choose having all the recipes spoiled for me by going Creative Mode and I'll never get combat when I want it. I wish it had been explicit before I sunk a couple hours in that you couldn't go back and forth between survival and non-combat. It instead said "you can change this in the start menu anytime", which under the comments and suggestions heading is pretty misleading. I can't play survival mode all the time like this, it's too stressful, and I don't see much point if everything is just given to me. How long until I can actually play this game in a way that's enjoyable?

Thats interesting I can see how the Aspirant Heroes must have been added because you dont lose any Knights now but once you reach 12 active knights you need to dismiss a Knight. Or you find the occasional item that lets you add an active Knight back to Aspirant Hero And I have done that a few times My active Knights are Balin, Kay, Lanval, Yvain, Ector, Brunor, Leodegrance, Merlin , Guinevere and Fairy Knight And I swop then around due to healing I also like to keep them on more or less similar levels and I swop them around to give different Knights a chance to gain XP on quests even if they not injured Because they have different combat strategies which helps once I am familiar with them Its really is a fun game, the combat grows on you quickly

Kooffie started following Grounded 2 – Falling of the Map.
-
After finishing a mission, when returning to one of the research bases, or I don’t know what exactly they are called, my character simply fell of the map when entering the place. I lost all my items and my bag with them went off the map, which was frustrating since there were many good items that I will never recover. Now I’m afraid of entering that base and of that bug happing again, also, well, it really destroyed my mood to keep playing the game. • I played on console, Xbox. • Multiplayer, only 2 players (me and a friend). • Gamertag is Kooffie if needed. Since the max total size of a file has 0 sense and make it impossible to really attach a file with a video of the issue, here is a link with both videos of the bug happening and my bag being left on Neverland: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rUtgXQx-CUmCm3iXlFS-zshE6rPa8As0

Rebinding Keys does not save
Stryker can has replied to Exia's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have a related issue. I bound my PEEP.R (both open and close) to mouse button 4, and Remove Waypoint to right mouse button. My bindings are reset to default whenever I quit, superquit, or crash. It does not matter whether I set the bindings while in a game or while on the main screen. -
GhostReporting started following Massive performance drops when looking up
-
I'm on a Lenovo IdeaPad L340, and I'm having some heavy performance issues. I was able to play Grounded 1 just fine on higher display settings, for what that's worth. I've had low FPS in general, though it eased somewhat after turning the settings way down. The biggest problem is that anytime I look up, or challenge the camera to look across a wide open area from a high vantage, the FPS drops to uncontrollable levels. Building a roof on my little cabin was... difficult. Seperately, another small issue is getting into/out of anything with an inventory (chests, fire pit, etc). It tends to freeze up or not take inputs. I would guess this is also related to the frame timing.
