Escapist83 Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 So maybe I wound up here earlier than I should have, but I managed to get to the point where my entire party was dead except for my main character, a paladin. It was just him, Nemnok, and Kaali who I was desperately trying to keep alive. As I'm writing this, Nemnok is at 50% health and my paladin is at full HP thanks to Exalted Endurance. Nemnok can't kill me, so I'm just sitting here waiting to whittle him down. I'll be back in an hour or two when this fight finishes up. I'm like some sort of holy warrior who traveled to Hell and is now locked in eternal combat with his enemy. 2
E.RedMark Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Nemnok is adorable though. LONG LIVE NEMNOK! NEMNOK the Pokemon! I'll bet ye've got all sorts o' barmy questions! (She mimics your heroic stance) Greetin's, I have some questions... can ye tell me about this place? Who's the Lady o' Pain? I'm lookin' fer the magic Girdle of Swank Iron, have ye seen it? Do ye know where a portal ta the 2,817th Plane o' the Abyss might be? Do ye know where the Holy Flamin' Frost-Brand Gronk-Slayin' Vorpal Hammer o' Woundin' an' Returnin' an' Shootin'-Lightnin'-Out-Yer-Bum is? Elderly Hive Dweller
Wodehouse_44 Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Nemnok: "Blah, blah, blah, blah...Blah!"My Watcher: "You're still just an imp..." :|
Escapist83 Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 Still going at it. Nemnok found an Eoten friend I neglected to kill. It's complicated things. I can't seem to get the Eoten below 50% because of his equally bull**** regeneration talent.
Escapist83 Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 Also, I'm pretty sure the Eoten buffs are named after the "You is kind, you is smart.." quote from The Help.
M4xw0lf Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 I just steamrolled this triple red skull encounter. Even left the room and let my party fight Nemnok alone, because he took looong to grind down. (Got Kaali to leave before, btw.) I even joined the cultists in summoning Nemnok. Nemnok!Nemnok!Nemnok!Nemnok!

Escapist83 Posted May 17, 2018 Author Posted May 17, 2018 Where is this dude anyhow? NW corner of the map, basically. There's a quest line that leads you into that general area. Kill 5 different pirates for a lady in Dunnage, put all their map pieces together, and it will show you the location of a buried treasure on the same island.
Frostwyrmwraith Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 You can convince Kaali to leave by volunteering to work for Nemnok once he shows up. He gives you a quest at that point, but there's nothing stopping you from attacking him the moment Kaali leaves the room. 1

I could tell him to go home after agreeing to work for his mighty impness.
fortuntek Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 On my first playthrough I stumbled upon the island, went in through the left eye and chatted with a dude then went around the corner and was attacked by hostiles, for the rest of my way fighting my way in. Pretty sure I killed Kaali myself ("why does that name sound familiar? Oh well") How did you guys get a quest from Nemnok? Does the front entrance not make them hostile? Sneaking by didn't seem like an option. Just curious because I'm on my second playthrough and want to try it differently
Frostwyrmwraith Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 It doesn't matter if you fight your way in, it's solely reliant on what you say to Nemnok when he appears.
