[1.0.3.8] Kyra offered two "close location" chances

mccrispy

Question

Device: Hudl 2
OS: Android 5.1
PACG build: 1.0.3.8

Pass & Play: OFF
Permadeath: OFF
Mode: Quest
Party Members: Sajan, Kyra, Seelah
Turn Order: as party
Scenario: ?
Difficulty: Heroic
Wildcards: Retaliation (Scenario: defeat Goblin; 1 Fire damage)
Location: Farmhouse
Trigger: Goblin Raider/Close Location

Repro Info: Kyra moved from her closed location (unsure which it was) to Farmhouse with Sajan because after Sajan's turn, Goblin Raider was last card at location. She defeated the GR and was offered Close Location. Failed to defeat the Goblin Warchanter and took 1 Fire. Was then offered Close Location for the second time and defeated the Werewolf to close the location

This is not a bug, but how the rules play out as they should. Defeating the goblin raider henchman gives a chance to close the location (in this case by defeating a random monster). Failing that meant it was still open, but because you ended your turn at a location with no cards remaining you were given another attempt at closing the location (with another random monster).

You in fact met two separate triggers for the ability to close the location. Defeating a Henchman, and location deck being empty.

Ah, I thought you only got the chance to close immediately and at the start of your turn (if there are no cards). Must reread the rules!

Not by original rules. This is either a bug or a conscious design decision in the app (no dev has commented on it yet, though it was brought up several times). It's stupid because you have to make the decision at the start of your turn at empty location, without a chance to look over your characters and hand compositions. By original rules, the chance to close an empty location is pretty much the LAST thing you do before the end of your turn.

You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug.

The time that devs don't have to spend on the forum is a time they can spend on fixing the game.
