HawkSoft
I like Kana, his character, voice acting and quest (although it's a bit short) but I've had to relegate him to gate guard duty and Endless Paths specialist because the chanter AI just sucks. I use AI to try and ensure everyone keeps busy, it might not always attack the best target but at least DPS is going in the right direction Unfortunately the [3.0 beta] Chanter AI has a fetish about skeletons and will always cast them ASAP making it almost impossible to save Kana's phrases for anything more useful. I'm still low enough level for the skeletons to have some value in combat but it's very annoying to have them suddenly appear where I don't want them Kana is currently on a Stronghold quest to retrieve a dead murderer's thumb (or some such), what little I've seen of the Caed Nua tweaks so far look good

If you're really finicky, you can even limit the chants and invocations by simply not picking stuff. Then you are forcing the AI to pick between just a couple of possibilities ;p

I'm happy to wait until OBS fix the chanter AI. In the mean time Kana is doing great work bringing home artefacts from the updated Stronghold quests
PrimeJunta
Can you dump the skeleton invoc by respeccing? If so I was not aware of that... and despite my strong aesthetic aversion to respec, I would do that if it's possible. (Always assuming they haven't buffed the skellies in 3.0; it would be nice if they became useful...) I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. HawkSoft
Someone has suggested that the enemy AI has a fixation on them (low DEF and DR?) and so will disengage from your chars to slaughter the skeletons.
Gfted1
Is that how PoE mooks prioritize who to attack, based on some ability to determine your party member DEF and DR? Seems like it should be based on damage output or something... "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Dr. Hieronymous Alloy
This is a small issue with Cipher AI also (though not quite as bad because most low level cipher powers are pretty useful). The AI prioritizes action over inaction so it'll fire off low level powers pretty routinely; you basically have to turn it off if you want to fire higher level powers. With Kana it's especially bad because the AI will summon skeletons even when it has 5 phrases saved up for ogres.
Tennisgolfboll
I think the AI is pretty garbage all round on the party members tbh. So i dont see the problem being Kana
HawkSoft
Playing on normal the AI is generally useful at keeping the party busy and making use of per encounter abilities. One thing it does mess up is when tries to cast Arcane Assault at a moving target
Doppelschwert
Why don't you set kanas AI to auto attacking only and fire the invocations yourself? Chants go off on their own so auto attacking covers 90% of all kana is doing most of the time, searching a target and attacking it. The chanter is one of the more passive characters anyway and if you only want to use some higher invocations, there is a lot of room to ignore him for a while and get back to click on him which should not contribute much to the overall micro.
