Josan Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 42 The ultimate answer! December 2012 - Issue 19 of the Winterwind Papers now online - http://www.winterwind-productions.com Nationalism, brotherhood, 'pop' culture and puppy love
Ewen Brown Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 damn you, i'm stuck with #23 btw i suddenly noticed i'm level 1 what the hell Winterwind
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I think it's the ol' BIS ranking system again... only replacing the names of xxx of the isle with a bare #... bah Seems that WW members are pretty quick here, isn't it?
Silvermoon Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 After five posts, you're level 1. And why is 42 the ultimate answer?
Magnum Opus Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Post count, I'm guessing... I noticed mine changed at post #5. Could've gone with something a little more creative than just level numbers, IMnsHO. If I were the paranoid type, I could extrapolate this to mean that the game they're working on will be a "light on roleplaying, heavy on levelling up stat-fest", but I'm not, so I won't.
Sammael Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Read Adamas' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to find out more about 42. There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.

I think they haven't integrated titles yet. To use the old saying: "The board is young"
Silvermoon Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Read Adamas' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to find out more about 42. Wilco. Have read it before, but it has faded. I was young and unspoiled then (right ).
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 ^ Maybe we can post some suggestions for titles... but I'm afraid that might only lead to overly spa... posting. Not good (like the former BIS boards)
Ewen Brown Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 ^ Maybe we can post some suggestions for titles... but I'm afraid that might only lead to overly spa... posting. Not good (like the former BIS boards) you would know about that Winterwind
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 ^ Spamming or the BIS boards? B) (for the former, I've changed my habits, you know that (for the latter: everybody was intent on being a XXX Defender of the Isles back then).
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Just checking my number here Well...you're twice my # G3N13
Sammael Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 The influx of users is too great... I wonder how long till the board goes down? There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.
Annah Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Lucky number 50 fore me :D "We all live under the same sky ... but none of us have the same horizon"
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 The influx of users is too great... I wonder how long till the board goes down? Indeed, News about the Obsidian forums are spreading fast. Hope that gives the peeps at Obsidian a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Petor23 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I got here really late so I'm no59. Damn sleep
Volourn Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Ahh.. An already unimportant thread; and one that forced me to post anyways in it. Hmm.. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Exitium Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I wonder how long it'll be before the member count hits a thousand. Exitium RPG Codex - the premier avant garde gaming news site. "It is more convenient to follow one's conscience than one's intelligence, for at every failure, conscience finds an excuse and an encouragement in itself. That is why there are so many conscientious and so few intelligent people." - Nietzsche
Balthamael Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 ^Probably no longer than a week. Asssuming that the boards won't crash before that.
samm Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 yassir, and i've contributet to that (i hope ) by spreading the word on my "main"board (haha). [edit] oh, i'm number 132. would have preferred 123, but at least 132 is 44*3, and 3's my favourite number, so wth... *shrug* Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
Vermillion Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 nope, not the # I wanted. I just found about that the forums are open. so i'm here... "It is not about the destination, its the journey that matters..."
Shadowstrider Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 Damn work called me in... couldn't register when I first found out, had to wait until I got home... *mumbles*
Petor23 Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 42 The ultimate answer! Yeah, but what was the question
Megatron Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 How many roads must a man walk down? 131. 7 off 138, 31 off 100, 69 off 200, 1206 off 1337, 89 off 42 and 130 off 1. Intresting eh? >*
