I like all classes, I surprisingly like the Wizard a lot, simply due to the ability of opening with Rolling balls of fire but I'd say my favorite is the Chanter simply due to the novelty factor. I just find the whole idea of custom "songs" that lead into spells really cool. Can be done even better but at least it makes a bard-like class be actually cool and effective instead of a weak mage/thief

I went fighter first time through as I did the same with BG1 & 2.  I think rogue will be my second and then a caster.

From everything I read I'd like to play the Paladin or Cipher, but I'm mostly drawn to the Rogue. I think he'll be my first character when I get the game.

A great Let's Play that exposed me to PoE and got me hooked.

Give it a look and enjoy!!

Also with a detailed character creation to boot.

I like my tank Paladin even if the bad pathfinding hinders him to get his full potential :(.

Wizard and Cipher are great once you learned to handle all the spells :).

Hunter might be the easiest of all classes (only 2 peer-fight abilitys, rest is auto attack).

I dismissed my Chanter as most fights are over when he got his 4 chant stacks ... or the party is dead allready *lol*. But he is for sure a great suporter later on.
