kumquatq3 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Anyone else seemingly lack the ability to load an avatar off their computer? It won't let me load even the smallest of pictures, which are way under the kb size.
KC-Tang Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Sammael has done it with his avatar... I still can't upload anything 64x64 or smaller :? So for the moment I'll just settle with this 'Pow' Avy
Silvermoon Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Hasn't Sammael just taken it off a web location, as I did with mine?
Sammael Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 No, I couldn't upload either, my avatar is linked from my website. There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.
Magnum Opus Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I'm using a URL and my own web space for mine... haven't tried uploading anything as of yet...
Mr. Teatime Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Upload won't work for me, I thought of using IPLY's URL to lnk it but figured that site won't be around for much longer, heh......
Ala Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I had the same problem, though thankfully I already had my avatar uploaded at another forum, so I just used that upload here too...
Balthamael Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I apparently managed to upload an avatar(depending on whether it will show in this post). The image needs to be larger than the limits given. Edit: No, it didn't work, even though it said it did. I'll have to link to an avatar.
Fionavar Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 I too was uanble to upload directly, so I ended using one of many that are online fwiiw The universe is change; your life is what our thoughts make it - Marcus Aurelius (161)
Phosphor Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Uploading doesn't work for me, either. I'll have to link to an URL I guess.
Sammael Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 It is working now. May we know the identity of the Guildmaster? There are no doors in Jefferson that are "special game locked" doors. There are no characters in that game that you can kill that will result in the game ending prematurely.
kumquatq3 Posted February 8, 2004 Author Posted February 8, 2004 Please try again. Thanks! May we know the identity of the Guildmaster? good question
Xindell Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 Workin great! Thanks! I find your lack of faith disturbing...
samm Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 uhuh, did work here, too, after the first try and yeah, that ominous guildmaster would interest me as well. is he one of obsidian? or might he be a mod, linked with them only via internet? questions rise and answers fall... Sargallath Abraxium Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 ...ummmm; 64x64 be kinda, well, tiny, dunna ya think???...120x120 sounds better, nice an' round... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... A long, long time ago, but I can still remember, How the Trolling used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance", And maybe we'd be happy for a while. But then Krackhead left and so did Klown; Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town. Bad news on the Front Page, BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage. I can't remember if I cried When I heard that TORN was recently fried, But sadness touched me deep inside, The day...Black Isle died. For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way
Exitium Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 ...ummmm; 64x64 be kinda, well, tiny, dunna ya think???...120x120 sounds better, nice an' round... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... No, that's too big. It'd look like a mess and pages would take forever to load up. Exitium RPG Codex - the premier avant garde gaming news site. That is why there are so many conscientious and so few intelligent people." - Nietzsche
Xindell Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 I wouldn't mind them being a BIT bigger, but that's probably just because mine is a shrunk-down pic that can be a BIT hard to recognize at this size. I do agree that forums which allow really big ones just get cluttered and annoying tho. Those are the foums in which I usually turn avatars off. I find your lack of faith disturbing...
Balthamael Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 My traditional owl didn't look good this small, but there are other pictures to use. This size is just fine, and better small than huge.
Araanor Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 64x64 is perfect. There's few things more annoying on fora than wading through enormous pictures, signatures and other overly flashy penile extensions.
