I apologize because I know there are a lot of these, but I wanted to get the opinion of some people who have run it already.

Intel Core 2 PCU 6700 @ 2.66 GHz

3 gigs of ram

Windows Vista 32 bit

AMD Radeon 6800

Do I have a hope?  Or will I be waiting for a new PC? lol..

Thanks in advance.

Kinda weird that you have 3 gb ram, i recomend change the OS to a 64 Bit version and add more ram.

Thank you for the reply.

Is there any game you can recommend that will be similar to Pillars specifics wise that maybe I can test the system against?  I've got a bunch of games on my steam list I have yet to try, lol.

That system should work, but it might be a little choppy. 32-bit is playable, but we did have some issues with long time gaming with it (but I believe most of those issues were fixed recently.)

Things you can do is to turn off anti-aliasing in your video driver and lower the resolution.

Wow a Developer personal response?  Calling me impressed would be an understatement.

And from a fellow 97 UO Vet none the less?  Now that is a company I want to get behind.  I bought the game regardless, figured worse case scenario is I can't run it but I support the team and have it in my library for the future.  But your post is very re assuring.

Thanks very much.

Alright so I went into CCC and selected

"Anti-Aliasing Mode = Override application settings"

"Anti-Aliasing Samples = None"

Now, we wait :)

Hello everyone.
Sorry for any mistakes I may do, I'm not english.

I would like to know if I'm able to run this game before buying it.
I'm below the min specs, sadly. Well I guess so, I have an old computer, but I'm not an expert.

Vista 64 bits
Core 2 Duo E8400 (3Ghz)
4 Gb ram
Sapphire radeon 4870

Do you think I'll be able to play it ? Without any "lags" ?
Thanx. Hope I won't have to wait for my new computer.

just to piggyback on this thread, I have a 6 year old HP pavilion laptop.

Windows 7 64 bit

Intel core 2 duo 2.1 ghz

4 gb ram

Integrated graphics

It crashes to desktop after loading the obsidian and paradox shots. I am under the recommended settings so I'm not surprised. Will probably be upgrading soon.

FYI anyone trying to compare their game against mine, it runs the game very well.  When the game works.. currently experiencing some crashing issues on loading screens.

I'm glad to report that it works wonderfully so far(knock-on-wood-knock-on-wood-knock-....) on my very dated system (6 yeas old!)

32-bit win7

Phenom II X3 710

Radeon 4870HD

4GB RAM

Hey, bigsun123. Would you mind sending me a dxdiag of your system? Just use Start->Run->DxDiag to generate a report.

You can just send it to me in a private message. Thanks.

Hey, 32-bit guys. There is a workaround that we know about which might help. Our QA lead is putting together a post about it soon.
