Infinitron Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) https://www.facebook.com/obsidian/posts/10152755383786593 Little is known about the long-lost Engwithan empire or its culture. Called the "Builders" by the tribes of Eir Glanfath, the Engwithans are believed to have created strange, elaborate structures over decades using shaped pillars of living adra to support the stone. Their language is barely understood by even the most well-read scholars, leaving many details of their society lost to the ages and hopelessly mired in rumor, folklore, and blatant lies.#PoELaunchMarch26 Edited March 13, 2015 by Infinitron
Valmy Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Every fantasy setting needs a fallen empire of a previously advanced civilization around. Looks pretty sweet. I have a feeling we are going to be finding out all about these guys in the main plot.
Mazisky Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) Stormwall Gorge looks more "bluish" compared to the BBeta. I'm wondering if it's only a screenshot effect or there is an effective change between Bbeta and the screenshot build Edited March 13, 2015 by Mazisky
Nonek Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Engwithan is an ethnic group or a race? If I remember correctly it is neither, rather a vanished country and culture formed of multiple species, that is now protected by the Glenfathans. I may be misremembering however. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!

They may have a known a few things that the current society doesn't (just like Damascus steel) but they weren't more advanced in general.

Lephys Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Engwithan is an ethnic group or a race? Turns out they were aliens disguised as humans. One of their temples is a huge spacecraft, and you have to use it to stop other aliens from invading the world, disguised as demons. Crap... spoiler alert! 8S Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u
