Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Nope, wrong on all accounts! I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Blarghagh Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Looks like something in motion, something spinning. Possibly a hubcap?
Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Nope, no spinning! Should you guys not be able to solve it till evening I'll tell you what it is. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Nope, no lenses, no glass-anything. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Gorth Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Looks like a drop of water, the moment it hits the surface. “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 No water! Hint: the shiny surface is chromed steel. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Azdeus Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Lifting weights? Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken
Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Ok, time to solve the riddle. Its a shotgun slug inside a chrome lined shotgun barrel, viewed from the muzzle. Fighter got pretty close with his guess so he gets the cookie! Edited September 21, 2015 by Woldan I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Blarghagh Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Dammit, I actually thought it was a bullet because, well, it's you. But I googled to be sure and I couldn't find any bullets that had anything that looked like that.
Woldan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Yeah, the projectile has got spirals on its head to make it spin through air friction, makes it more accurate out of a shotgun barrel that has no rifling. They work somewhat like tank cannon rounds which are smoothbore as well. Edited September 21, 2015 by Woldan 1 I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
