Nope, no spinning!

 

 

Should you guys not be able to solve it till evening I'll tell you what it is.  ;)

Ok, time to solve the riddle. Its a shotgun slug inside a chrome lined shotgun barrel, viewed from the muzzle.  :grin:

Yeah, the projectile has got spirals on its head to make it spin through air friction, makes it more accurate out of a shotgun barrel that has no rifling. They work somewhat like tank cannon rounds which are smoothbore as well.
