Blarghagh
What? I didn't say anything about the website itself. I haven't read enough of it to say so. Just if the website is progressive, that article should be removed. Because "this should have stayed the same because there was no problem for me" is an argument tea baggers make. Namutree
LOL. It isn't about ethics cause JIM STERLING is against it. Never mind GameJournoPros, writing on the games of friends, or even the total lack of objectivity: Jim Sterling is against it so it can't be about ethics. Ah strawmen and pseudo-intellectualism, never change internet. If Jim Sterling commands; we must obey. I think the "Jimquisition" is about to get a lot scarier. "Good thing I don't heal my characters or they'd be really hurt." Is not something I should ever be thinking. I use blue text when I'm being sarcastic. Seeing as a good number of tea baggers nest in and around my city, I can confirm this. Between the Jack Thompson/Anita Sarkeesian parallels and the willingless to keep a terrible situation as is, I'm starting to wonder if the mainstream left is closer to the right-wingers than they care to admit. The reason is that this isn't a left-right issue. 1 "Good thing I don't heal my characters or they'd be really hurt." Is not something I should ever be thinking. Between the Jack Thompson/Anita Sarkeesian parallels and the willingless to keep a terrible situation as is, I'm starting to wonder if the mainstream left is closer to the right-wingers than they care to admit. What they have in common with the right-wingers is that they are both authoritarian. Old time conservative dislike liberalism because they think that it will erode old structures such as the church, common moral values and eventually a collapse of civilization since nihilism and bohemianism tendencies are not only tolerated, but celebrated. SJ-people hate liberalism because they recognize that freedom will always end with have's and have not's, both economically and socially speaking. True social justice is not achieved until the power structures enabled by capitalism and liberalism are trickled down, and to do that, you have to recondition society through forced egaliterianism. 1 "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Meshugger
That is why i would say that the Post-modernism is playing a huge part in this. There is no need for empirical knowledge, reason or greater understanding. Only personal emotional experiences, reshape of language and deconstruction for deconstruction sake. It is the bane of the mind of any free society.
Barothmuk
AS one gamergater said: >Gamers, Christians, Athiests, Anarchists, Capitalists, Politicians, Lefties, Righties and Porn Actors team up against SJWs while rallying under a hastag started by Adam Baldwin. This **** is bananas. Oh, and something something "ethics in game journalism".
Namutree
Oh, and something something "ethics in game journalism". While it's about ethics in game journalism; the unethical journalists in this case are SJWs. Not to mention that SJWs tend to slander gamergate; a lot. So it shouldn't be hard to understand why people pro-gamergate often talk of SJWs as "the enemy", but SJWs are not actually the target as much as these unethical journalists who just happen to be SJWs. 1 "Good thing I don't heal my characters or they'd be really hurt."
