I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually missing the "pathfinding" from the IE games! As horrific as it was, it's actually a good deal better than the current pathfinding!

Yep, I said it. I went there. Whatchyou gon do bout it!

"No one crosses the shadow thieves... and liiiives." Surely I'm not alone in loving that line being repeated over and over.

There are number of lines I'll "miss" from the BG games, because I've heard them so often.

"Me will crush you. Crush you to goo!"

Or else "Me will smash your face!"

"So I kicked him in the head until he was dead. Mwahaha!"

"Don't touch me. I'm super important."

"Prepare to be eviscerated, fool."

"In the name of Looolllth, we fiiighhhtt!"

And so on.

God, Baldur's Gate was a hammy series.

I'm also partial to "Youurr time is done... primate!" (doppelgangers)

Along with: "Evil 'round every corner. Careful not to step in any." (Minsc)

And: "The day comes when Tiax will point and click!" (Who else)

And: "I don't know what you expected, but as a sword, I'm pretty one dimensional in what I waaaant!" (Lilacor the talking sword)

Could probably keep adding all day.

Errr...why ? just go play BG if you miss it that much, jeez !

Good question, to it's sort of like going off to college, but being able to bring your high school buddies with you.

But I don't think people actually expect any of this stuff to come over verbatim from BG to PoE. Mostly I think people are waxing nostalgic and having a bit of fun. That has been where I've been coming from, at least.

There's BG the original editions and BG the EE now. PoE needs a bit more than BG&BG2 offered to be a real success and I'm not talking here about fancier graphics.

What are you talking about then?

This statement is false.
