I think this would be hilarious/amazing. Contrary to what I was told growing up, all the people I have met off the internet have actually been pretty fun and no one tried to murder me, sooo.... victory?? Definitely! My online D&D group that has been playing together for 7-8 years now had as far as I know never actually met up in person before one of the group got married and invited the rest of us out to be most of the wedding party. No murders at all except for my voice from all the cheering.
