Gorth Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 ^^^ Cute smiley! “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Aeon Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 corriban would rock if you could get some proper assasination missions that could affect galatic politics. but it'd want to be far, far bigger and more populated than taris. the only reason i'd want to go to tatooine would be to get a sand dude (not a jawa the other guys, can't remember their names) on my team. it'll be cool to see post-bombardment dantooine though.
Winterfox Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 I'd sacrifice my cousin's firstborn to see Coruscant in KotOR2. Jedi Academy's version of it leaves... something to be desired, shall we say.

It leaves a lot more than that! I was very disappointed by Jedi Academy's rendition of Coruscant - Hopefully KotOR 2 will do a much better job.
Opus131 Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Calimari (so they could reuse Manaan assets without reusing Manaan) Isn't Calimari something you eat ? Like with 8 or 10 arms ??? That's Calamari, which is italian for shrimps... Opus131
Pope Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Hoth, Yavin 4, Correllia, Endor, and that final planet of KotOR.
Pope Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Calimari (so they could reuse Manaan assets without reusing Manaan) Isn't Calimari something you eat ? Like with 8 or 10 arms ??? That's Calamari, which is italian for shrimps... no it's not, it's Italian for squids
kefka Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Admiral Ackbar is Mon Calamari. He wouldn't appreciate being called a squid.
nightcleaver Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 I'm really hoping they DON'T reuse assets for the sequel - or at least if they do it, they do it in ingenious ways that make it look like entirely new content. From what I can tell, it sounds like obsidian wouldn't be unoriginal like that. Though, if you don't have a lead artist, things might be difficult for that. Could be why they're looking for a lead artist. Who knows.
Meshugger Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 1. Coruscant 2. Telos 3. Dantooine 4. Hoth 5. Yavin IV 6. Endor 7. A death-star like base were the final battle takes place. kefka Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 I'd really like to see Coruscant but I don't think current graphics technology (or the odyssey engine) is up to the task. I get the feeling it would look no better than Taris. Obsidian should 'invent' a few planets for Kotor2 to avoid comparisons. Both Manaan and Taris were original I think.
random evil guy Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 wouldn't peragus, the asteroid mining facility where u start, be one of the worlds?
Pope Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 no it's not, it's Italian for squids I'm pretty sure its Greek for squid. http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr It's Italian alright
Pope Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 7. A death-star like base were the final battle takes place. Isn't that exactly what they did in the original KotOR?
Meshugger Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 7. A death-star like base were the final battle takes place. Isn't that exactly what they did in the original KotOR? ...and in episode IV and VI too, having a huge battlestation is abit of clich "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy

You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
Brianalot Curren Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Those pictures from the German site looks so much like Coruscant. If you look at the buildings, they are almost identical from the building design in the movie version which is the one everyone goes by. If that isn't Coruscant, I would like to see what it is. Besides it would be perfect. The jedi order being disbanded, and you would have to go to the heart of the Republic to get them reinstated, very BG like.
