Agiel
there's a new mod out for Arma 2. and it's amazing adds this baby to the game. and although Arma 2 already had a number of AH-64 in different variants (both in-game and added with mods), this one dwarfs them all. its fidelity and amount of details will leave any aviation enthusiast speechless just look at this ****pit! and the fun part? it's interactive. you can press any button or toggle any switch. hell, even to start 'er up you'll need to follow a proper procedure (battery, APU, engines on, torque in "FLY", rotor brake off). and don't even get me started on the weapon systems haven't been so excited about a project in a while... it's like a free DCS Apache, or something. it's like Christmas! Clue me in where you found that. Haven't gotten balls-deep into ArmA II since I've been toying around with the newfangled ArmA III beta. Also this during a single-player mission. My wingman got a little too close to some Red SHORAD and took 3 SA-9 hits for his trouble. Eventually the craft gave out within sight of the airstrip, but it was close enough that he could swim to shore and hoof it back to base 1 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

That's how I feel when I read about you fine folks waxing poetic about games like Company of Heroes or <something>: Total War. I know they're great games, I also know how ruthlessly I'd get obliterated in one of those games, on account of how much I suck at RTS games. 2 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

SadExchange
Lately, been playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on the pc. Played through the game on PS3, but not the DLC chapters, therefore trying to get to them, but enjoying the game. I'm a Castlevania fan from way back and don't understand the hate for this game. I get some complications through the development of the title, but feel that they really captured the vibe and story with this game, if not for trying something new and profound to the series. Sorry for the size of the photo, been awhile since I posted a pic, but the level design is really well done, including the scope of everything. Also, awaiting my copy of Diablo 3 for the PS3. I enjoyed, more than others on the PC after respective patching, and look forward to the couch co-op and controller gameplay of this one. Especially due to the looting enhancements. If anyone is also planning on playing the PS3 version, let me know. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659527899359/8A4E14683FFBA0EA9E929B27A8137792D6FCE617/ http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659528154067/3B1938164E0879EA693F481C89AB9AD9D59E826C/ http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659528185288/122910A3CAB19D592BE6113D5CE80F445CD775AD/ The last screen I enjoy because it gives a nod back to the mapping layout and portraying of earlier titles between levels. Keyrock
Yay, I finally got the complete Sunite Garb fashion outfit: Now the only thing left to do is scoop up some black dye bottles (in about a week I'll have enough Zen) and dye all the white parts black. Black, green, and pink? It will be badass. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Keyrock
On second thought, maybe I should leave the white as is and dye the currently pink flower parts black? melkathi
Crap. What are the Harkonnen colors? Red and Blue heraldry. Blue uniforms. edit: in games, from Dune 2 onward uniforms were changed to red and Atreides were given the blue ones. Seems to have been a marketing decission because of lingering Cold War indoctrination: the good guys in popular media cannot be Red (Similar to how the glow in the original Tron movie had to be changed ) edit 2: funny enough the games also took away the green uniforms of House Atreides and gave them to House Ordo. The colour red would, before Dune 2, be mostly associated with House Atreides (even though it was one of the two Harkonnen colours) because of Atreides heraldry being a red Hawk. LadyCrimson
The Festival garb looks best on the female chrs, imo. The male chrs. look like they're wearing 70's lounge pj's or something. I wonder what new items they're adding at the mid-point. “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson
you didn't read the balladI did, but it's not funny. And doesn't say if that's what you actually receive when pickpocketing, either. Could just be a lore scroll one finds on a table for all I know. “Things are as they are.
