alanschu Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I just don't dig those three screen panoramas. If I have to start turning my head, I think I'm probably going to prefer something more like the Oculus Rift or some other type of VR headset. Might be different if monitors had minimal borders around their screens.
LadyCrimson Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I definitely couldn't sit at chair/desk distance with panorama's like that. I'd get whiplash neck or something. From farther away, it might be fine, but then it would seem too small unless the screens were a lot bigger, which of course means I'd want to sit father away... But regardless, yeah ... expensive, for gaming at least. For 15k+ I'd rather have a hi(ish)-res 60+" TV for film watching, instead. “Things are as they are. Agiel Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 ...or get me one of these set-ups for Falcon 4.0. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2919477/Re_Please_show_off_your_pit#Post2919477 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. ManifestedISO Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 IMO the idea of multi-monitor setups is to engage your peripheral vision while staring straight ahead. I would think the whole point is to move your eyes, not your head. That 4K setup looks like it was only put together because it could be. All Stop. On Screen.
Keyrock Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Until they make monitors with MUCH thinner bezels that are actually affordable, I'm not splurging for a multi-monitor setup. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

Agiel Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 For that much money couldn't you just pay people to let you shoot at them using paintballs? Some people have sort of done that: 1 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. syn2083 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 i was never a fan of multi monitor gaming, the borders kill it mostly for me, seeing giant black lines between screens is to jarring for me.. and beyond that the cost of this setup is ridiculous. -Crash the silence for the sake of memory- Computer Problems or Questions?
